I went for a run last night and when I was done my SW3 was completely dead.
It had plenty of battery before I started, but now it won't charge and won't turn on.
I've tried plugging it into 5 different charging cables and chargers. No dice.
It's pretty much bricked.
Can anyone help?
Hi, did you get your Smartwatch working again? I seem to be in the same situation, watch died overnight and now it won't charge.
Had the same problem few days back. Left it alone for a few days and plug in to charge, and it came back to life....but wrist gesture no longer working, even after factory reset

This morning the alarm went off on my phone and woke me up. I walked over and silenced it, everything seemed normal: it had been plugged it all night and the battery seemed full.I didn't unplug it, but simply dismissed the alarm and went off to shower, have breakfast etc. Half an hour later, I come back, the phone is completely dead. Still plugged in but LED is not lit. Holding down the power button does nothing, holding down power+volume does nothing. No screen activity, no vibrate, no LED. I tried replacing the battery, used both a spare Anker I had lying around and the original HTC battery. I tried plugging it into 2 different chargers as well as to my PC, nothing at all - I don't even get a charging LED.
Considering the phone had been plugged in all night and was working this morning, I don't think this is either a dead battery or a faulty USB port issue. Can't be sure of course. Can anyone advise me on how to diagnose the problem?
Just wanted to update to say that after a full day of it charging the phone is still completely dead and makes no response when I attempt to switch it on. I've ordered yet another spare battery with an external battery charger just to make sure that's not the issue, although, as I said in the OP, I very much doubt that's the case since the phone had been charging all night and was working and fully charged 1 hour before I notice it had died.
Any advice appreciated!
OK, another update, a brand new Anker battery with an external charger arrived today. After charging it for an hour and inserting it into the phone, trying to switch it on once again did nothing. No LED activity, nothing on the screen. Power+voldown also did nothing. So whatever's wrong with it is not a power issue: it died out of the blue, an hour after waking me up in the morning, while it was just sitting on my desk plugged in!
I've already bought a Moto X to replace it with, but if anyone has any ideas to help me fix it (or at least find out why it died) I'd really appreciate you sharing them! I love this phone and I would dearly love to keep it around as a backup!
I have had my phone for around 2 years and have had no real problems with it until now. Recently, it refuses to charge when plugged into the wall and instead loses charge rapidly. It used to charge when plugged into the computer but I did that today and it said it was fully charged but then 10 mins later it just shut down. Since then it will not charge or turn on and I have tried removing the battery and performing a factory reset which didnt work. It will come up with the charging icon for a bit then it will go off and I cant get it back for ages. Will a replacement battery fix it or is it completely dead? A temporary fix would be fine as I am planning to get a new phone soon anyway.
Hey Guys,
I had my P8000 now for several months and am happy so far.
Up until yesterday everything was working fine. I wanted to charge my phone over night as I do almost every night. When I woke up this morning the phone wasn´t charged at all. I pluged it in at 33% and that´s exactly what was left when I unpluged it this morning. I thought that the charged might be broken so I tried two other chargers. But It´s always the same: The LED lights up and the phone indicates that it´s being charged.
I´m now down to 27% and turned the phone of so that the battery doesn´t drain completely.
Any advice on what I could do?

Give the port a good blow and check if there is any fluff lodged in there. I have had this problem but after inserting the cable a few times it charged again.
You might need a new charge port

I got it charging again yesterday with a charger from a colleague. I don't know what did the trick but now it works with the charger next to my bed again.
But when I look at the charge port it does look very dusty. I'll blow it out and by a spare part, just in case.
Hi Guys,
I know there's a lot of threads about that Problem but Im really afraid of it.
I charged my SW3 to 99% while its ON. After that I turned it off to see if it charges till 100%. After this the surprise.. I turned it off while the charger was in or something it vibrated one time and turned off. I tried to turn it back on and no response even not a Vibration with / without charger. I left it for now without the charger to cool down but it's still not showing any sign of life even No Vibration with / without charger I just bought it from Amazon before two days and was charging it with a Samsung Galaxy plus one charger and when it was on it charged normal
I would appreciate every help Thanks !!
I finally fixed it it made me crazy... Even it was at 99% the battery drained very fast after an hour. So I did use the stock usb cable plugged it into the Sony Smartwatch 3 and connected it with the computer while its off. I wanted to reach 1% to turn it on. After I turned it on I used a normal charger to charge the Sony sw3. Now it's charging.
This is a very weird bug. What weve learned never ever charge your SW3 while its off and you try to turn it on. It will come into a black Screen loop.
Solution finally: Don't charge your SW3 until it's cooled down and fully drained in about 2 1/2 hours. First use your usb cable and Plug it in into the computer and Connect it with the SW3 while its off and charge it to 1?. Then Plug the cable out and turn your SW3 on and when its on you can start to use a normal charger.
Hope this helps...
It's creepy but totally real. It worked to me. I was change the usb source charge immediately after logo of smartwatch, and now it is working properly. Thanks for tip.
Last month I had no other option but to walk in rain and as a result the beautiful Robin refused to turn on. But luckily after few hours it turned on and worked normally until I connected the phone with Nextbit's charger. The turned off immediately after connected the charger. I tried to turn it on again and again but It was completely dead. I thought the phone is gone and left it on the closet for a week. Later when I tried to turn it on last week, I found myself lucky again and the phone turned on again. It is working normally now. But the charging has some issues. Whenever I try to charge it using Nextbit's charger or other Quick Charge 2 charger at first attempt the phone shows 'charging' but it actually doesn't take the charge. But at second or third attempt it shows 'charging rapidly' and only then it takes charge as it did before.
What could be the cause of this?
Most likely just broken pins.
