We have unity

I have seen a general trend in the development section
There are many teams working on Galaxy y and thats amazing but i see they have fights
Why cant all teams be one huge and efficient team !!
I mean... all other teams collaborate and forget their previous fights and hatred
I mean we are born to love and unite not hate and be alone
Also when you all guys unite there will also be ultimate roms for Galaxy y and other many devices
I think all people would love it but there is a 1% chance of this being approved so i am waiting for you guys now !!
And those wbu dont like this you may compare yourself to Hitler who would also not like this colloboration

Different people have different ideas. What some people may find good, others will find not good. Not everyone can be satisfied. In some ways, having multiple devs developing multiple ROMS, etc, is a good thing as we, as users, have more options. Plus, don't forget the saying: Too many cooks spoil the broth. Having too many great devs working in one 'super team' may sound a good idea, but in reality it could be a disaster.
And comparing people to Hitler for not liking an idea is stupid...

Yea some roms have good tweaks for 1 thing others for some other thing....
I think we should take good ideas for a rom from all devs... and make 1 but ultimate rom.... my reccomendations: based on xxle1 (I think we can all agree on that).... chainfire 3D driver preinstalled XD and lots of tweaks of all kind

I kind of agree with OP on one part...devs like pratyush.creed, repencis, HCFroyd247, n others might team up to maybe make an ICS or CM9 port for sgy....but when it comes to customizing stock roms like most of the roms we have in d dev sectn, the devs do differ in ideas and it wud be best if they do it alone.....we'll have diffrnt varities of roms.....

Hi all.
Why not merge the "Original Android Development" forum with "Android Development".
On "original" theres only 4 thread alive. AOKP, CM10, CM9 and now Trinity Kernel which is for TW.

I agree, it just simplifies things to have them separated. I'd hate sorting through countless tw roms just to find the one aosp rom I'm looking for. Once cm10 becomes more stable, expect a flood of different aosp roms.

then why is Euroskank (AOKP rom) in the normal development area?

Original development is for original work. Something that was not built from several other projects. All development is amazing, so I'm not taking any sides, but it is a delicate matter to touch on for a lot of people. Basically, xda wants to seperate what they see as original, new development as opposed to ROMs built from several improvements from several ROMs or ports of other peoples roms....so you can see why its a sensitive subject

Original development is for the cutting edge, brand new, unseen roms/kernel for a device. Those are mainly source built stuff(aokp, cm, paranoid) including kernels.
Normal development is for everything else that not original. Stock based ROMs, ports, etc. They are mainly more stable then original development roms.
If someone were to bring over HTC sense here, that'd be in original development asap. We(xda) are trying to give users better access to the best possible rom/mods/kernels without having to dig through a bunch of the same stuff.

i dont see whats not so "quality" about my post. this is the way most everyone wants it. you have quite some audacity to make a request for the mods to restructure the entire dev section and force everyone else to learn where the original **** is at your request. with that type of selfishness, you're right, xda should verify the age of their members.

Not sure what you started it for. But I'll throw in my two cents. This is a very poor structure and destroys the ability to easily locate what you are looking for, by having to scramble around through every other device's development and questionaire to locate what you want.
I am disappointed in how this was done. devices should maintain their own section and not be merged, the only thing that should have been merged is the shared development of working roms, mods, themes. That is it!
To be honest this is the worst I have ever seen!

I think it is nice if sony wants to help with unlocking bootloaders or rom development on a "unofficial" level. Maybe now we can get those l28at unlocked and get some stuff cooking.

I'll agree that it's not ideal how things have been bunched together how they have, but the admins have clearly done this for a reason so no amount of moaning will change that.
Instead, we just need to make the most of it and make it as easy as possible for us to navigate our way around.

I hate this - usually when I got in I can tell which thread I haven't read and if i can help or not. Now I have to navigate to which specific related to me or my device. Total mess....probably gona be less input now - just sick of it. Understand what the mod here mentioned nothing can change. But i need to vent it out.
What is Sony gona do? This is user forum for god shake, manuf. sure will not push the limit. So what is there to look for !!! Just a poor decision from the Admin, no-respect for the users. At least a poll or something - this is a democratic country! AT&T already down grade a good phone (Ion), now XDA is doing the same. What a disappointment !

I never thought I would hear that XDA is trying to make Sony feel more welcome by making it harder for current members to use the web site.
I wish I could say that all the info given about why this happened makes XDA look like it is helping members, but this just helps future Sony phones. I will be asking members active in our combo forum to write you with their concerns. Maybe if we yell loud enough Sony.... I mean XDA will hear us

After reading it again you may be correct.
But it comes down to the fact that XDA is a user forum. If Sony came to XDA and said rearranged your forums. I would like to think we would here about it and possibly be able to give feedback first.
Anyways I have sent it. But sadly I don't think one member moaning and spamming an admin is going to do any good

You need to go through the forums button on startup, then scroll down to find the Sony Xperia S, Acro S, ION. Long press and subscribe. Then it shows in favorites/forums.

The new forum structure is really bad. I rarely visit the forum any more. technology should be used to separate information and make it easier to find, not clump it all together. Very disappointed

Help with my thread
I was just re-reading this thread. LOL, LMAO, WOW what attitudes we all had after the merger (just kidding). Well I think that it has all worked out for the better, so far More people means more brain power I still just wish there was some heads up from the admins.
ANYWAY that was not the reason for my post here. I have re-worked MY OP FOR THE RECOVER FROM SOFT-BRICK THREAD to include all 2012 XPERIAs, not just for the ION anymore. I need some feedback from people that have recovered from soft-brick on different models and the ION. I would love all input, stories, posts, advice, etc... for all models of XPERIA. I want to make my thread as helpful as possible for as many XPERIA owners as I can. You can PM me or just post in the recovery thread.

No i dont. I don't see the need of such a thread. Why don't we make such a thread for every rom and call out to support the devs. Xda would be loaded with this.
...if you want to support the devs you give info and input about the rom in the specific dev thread instead of making polls/unnecessary threads in the general section.
Such a poll will probably only lead to some sort of rom comparison thread because one day there will be someone who posts here that he thinks that rom A is better than omni because ..... etc etc etc.

miui 7 is out there for tab 2 would like to try it on our tab s ............ after all another rom would not hurt and miui is just abso*****inglutly great to have on your device.....
