had my own reasons to roll back earlier, the tool on pc has been updated recently (a day or two days earlier) redownload it again, try installing it, if it doesnt install (hash value error) go to (on windows 8.1 pc) settings/change pc settings/update and recovery/recovery/(under advanced startup) hit restart now/ find your way then to advanced start up and choose 7 ( disable driver signing or signature at startup ) them try the installer again, if it fails, download all the available recommended and optional updates for windows, reboot if asked to and continue updating , then try running the installer again
This is what I went through and tried and it worked for me, i hope it works for you as well
Good luck

I recently installed 3VO's Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM and i used it for a few days
Then i started having problems with it sowing down so i tried to get another ROM
But everytime i tried to install a new ROM my computer would say "The system cannot find the path specified "Excalibur<Dopod C720/720w, HTC S620/S621, T-mobile Dash> ROMUpdateUtility
I tried installing the official ROM back on to my phone and it worked
But now when i try to flash any other ROM's my compuer gives me that msg again.
I need a updated ROM because i have a 4gig SD card and it is not compatible with the Official ROM
Can someone please help me with this Problem???
Are you remembering to Application Unlock your phone prior to trying to update again?
yea i run the SDA application unlock and the screen comes up and i click remove lock
Then when i run the ROM update
it gives me that msg again
Are you making sure during the FLASHING process to click the center button on your phone to initiate the flashing mode?
---At one point after the cmd file copies and runs some files on your phone, it will tell you a disclaimer about flashing and ask you if you want to proceed. There is a button that says YES, you click the center button and then you enter the 'bootloader'/flashing mode (to my understanding). Someone else had this issue...they forgot this and that messed them up...
when i begin flashing it shows that msg
And when it gets to the step that your talking about my phone doesnt react and show anything at all
Hello to all of you,
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
I bought second hand a LG G4 H815 with CyanogenMod 14 already installed on it.
Everything was fine until I installed my Ebanking apps, that would not function with an unlocked bootloader. I needed to return to a clean factory safe state...
It was the second time I flashed a rom in my whole life, the first one was a Galaxy S plus years ago.
I followed all the instructions for the KDZ flash in this tutorial but I stumbled upon a "Upgrade stopped due to error" in LG flash tool.
I retried 3 or 4 times but with no luck. I verified that the ROM was correct for my model and it was. European and all...
I tried LGUP but my phone is unknown ( at least it's detected)...
I read some posts and told myself "I probably have messed up something, let's try it again with a fresh thing"... I clicked on the factory reset button and carried on.
There the phone booted on TWRP (That i didn't know existed before this). As I explored the menus with a TWRP google search on the computer, I began to realize that the factory reset was maybe a bad thing to do with a custom rom. I tried to reboot but I always end up booting on TWRP.
I re-tried to flash in download mode, but with always the "Upgrade stopped due to error".
I also tried to flash directly from TWRP a stock rom. Didn't work.
I was beginning to lose it and tried to flash the CM14 version I had before, juste to have a working phone again, but even this didn't work... I'm stuck with a TWRP phone
I need some help there...

uninstall any drive for g4 from pc and reinstall again and lgup. now reboot phone to download mode when lgup is open first check upgrade opsion and when open kdz check refurbish opsion and start. good luck
Thank you for your answer
Still no luck
Uninstalled drivers
Rebooted PC
Reinstalled the drivers
Still unknown device
The best way to flash stock image is to use official LG Bridge app. Download it, turn off your phone, connect it to PC while holding volume up button - phone will go into download mode. Then there is option for software restore in LG Bridge but i won't tell u where exactly. If it won't work i would try on another PC. If it won't work maybe you would be able to flash stock image trough send_command but i won't help you with it.

Hello, I really need your help. I was happy with my DUK-L09C432Bxxx, I rooted it, TWRP recovery, unlocked the Bootloader, unlocked the FRP ..... up to try an update with B182. It was not possible to install it with TWRP, the sytem failed and didn't want to restart. I reinstalled the original recovery and use the DLOAD process for updating with same result. With surfing I discovered I'm not alone in this situation and today, this is :
- cannot reinstall TWRP because the phone doesn't appears with ADB devices command, or unauthorized.
- cannot enter to the recovery for normal update with DLOAD.
- try to do it with DC-Phoenix with Honor 9 ROM (loose 1 IMEI number), with Honor V9 and there is error messages
- do the same wthi Huawei MultiTool, also some errors
I don't want to spend some money to buy another phone, so if someone can help me. I would be eternally gratefull.
Kind regards

Hi there
Probably a silly question, but did you try all the things some of us did on the rebranding thread? The only thing I can think of on top of my head was that we used older roms(B130 I think it was) and this worked like a charm
So...when you restart the phone, it loads on to the erecovery screen or something else?
Hi,
after reboot the phone restart in erecovery mode and of course it failed because there is nothing on the Huawei server. I made some test and that is new and really problematic, with ADB, the device is unauthorized, so I can't do anything. Windows or Linux, same behavior.
Hi, I have a serious problem here and maybe somebody has an idea.
Recently i upgraded via provided OTA update to 9.5.4.0 and everything seem to work fine, but I did afterwards a factory reset (via the menu of the phone) to the device- Mi account was deleted and bootloader is locked.
So i didn´t play at all with the mobile before.
I already requested now (after the problem occured) the unlock of the bootloader and got the feedback of Xiaomi that i can use now the Unlocker tool.
Unfortunately the device needs to have an MI account binding to use the Unlocker tool.
After the factory reset the device starts from scratch and i get the famous MIUI9 beginning screen, can choose the language and the region. Then the device try approx. 30 times to continue and end always with a message (only for some seconds): "Find Device closed unexpectedly". After approx. 30 times im ending up in the MI-Recovery 3.0 where i can choose REBOOT, WIPE DATA, CONNECT WITH MI ASSISTANT (PC-SUITE)
REBOOT: will do again 30 times the message: "Find Device closed unexpectedly"
WIPE DATA: starts from the choose of language and region again and it doesn´t matter which language i choose ends up in the MI-Recovery 3.0
CONNECT WITH MI ASSISTANT: ends up with the english version, that i can´t connect, but with the Chinese version, i can at least open the downloaded ROM 9.5.4.0 and start the flashing process which hang up immediately and doesn´t go beyond 0%. It ends up with some chinese messages i can´t read
FASTBOOT could be reached by pressing Vol- + On/Off, but doesn´t help with a locked bootloader i guess
So if anybody have an idea how to overcome the situation it would be quite helpful.
Thx
I think you can flash fastboot miui rom with locked bootloader, just search the google for procedure, you would need to delete some lines in bat file for it to work. You will loose all data of the phone for sure, and you will need a miflash tool. After that you are good as new. It might be an issue that you have not enabled developer part. If this doesnt work, try to flash a recovery image via original recovery, i think i saw it somewhere ( cant post url)..
Yes, please share the link if possible, esp. the information about the BAT file, cause actually i searched since days and tried from MiFlash Tool until QFil everything.
I got developer part enabled before, but doing a reset to factory doesn´t allow me to re-enable anything.
How to flash something from original recovery, cause i´m not able to boot e.g. into EDL mode- I only can do something in FastBoot mode and meanwhile i´m a bit lost, cause i tried Recovery ROMS as well as FastBoot Roms and all of my flashing activities end up in the same scenario. Every flashing possibility i know is aborted.
Thx & cheers
Exact the same problem for me.
i have the same problem, some help would be great.

This seems to be a major bug I had it but resolved it by following this Test Point Method: http://en.miui.com/thread-1351514-1-1.html :good:
I used uBreakiFix to remove the back without chipping the did the process myself
@andril: Thx for the answer. Honestly from all what I read up to now, I expect such an answer, but I still have some questions:
Is this a bug, which is related to the latest upgrade only, or could this be happen also with older SW release?
Does the EDL testpoint method really work with the newest release I have?
Does it make sense to wait maybe for a new release to try the PC-Suite method again?
I don‘t fear to open the device, but want to avoid this of course if there is any possibility.
Thx&cheers
Gosh I was considering resetting my phone before selling on now I'm worried may have the same issue!
I don't think I'll be buying Xiaomi anytime soon.
@neo920768 it sounds bad but it works - @riz157 Not sure if it is a hardware bug after reset - I am glad i didn't do it after updating to the latest Global ROM
Just to give a feedback, that opening the device and flashing in EDL mode works good. Opening the device worked fine and you need to be careful about the fingerprint sensor, but after finishing you don‘t see anything on the device and everything works fine. Flashing with latest fastboot rom has also the small improvement, that you can choose between a lot of Regions, not only China.
Cheers and good luck to everybody
Thx
Hi all,
I have updated the system to 8.1 , in the begging everything looked fine. The system system suggested to update to the latest version and I did it.
the update went fine and it stayed fine for two days till for any reason every 5 seconds the screen blinks (like the screen turns off an on).
I have tried everything, factory reset, downgrade to the previous version and the issue remains.
the device is not rooted or any application which could cause such issue installed.
is anybody facing similar issue? do you have any suggestions to try to fix it.
Thank you in advance

I have a Oneplus 5. but I had the same problem trying to upgrade. I just posted this in the oneplus forum last night. I'm currently back on 8.0. I must have flashed the phone about 20 times.. not fun.. so make sure everything is backed up. This is what I did to stop the blinking.
1. Download the 8.0 zip from the official download link on OnePlus.com copy it to root folder
2. Flash back to 8.0.. assuming you're on 8.1
3.Upgrade to 8.1 when prompted
4. After it successfully upgrades.. it'll still blink..
5. Either through developer menu advanced reboot or volume down/power go into recovery
6. Flash 8.0 original zip
7. Don't wipe
8. Reboot, normally back into 8.0, you'll encounter errors.. com.android errors and it'll force reboot back into recovery
9. In recovery, wipe all user data
10. Then just reboot
11. I reinstalled fresh.. without restore, and installed my apps one at a time.. I thought maybe it was an app I had installed.. but it would start blinking randomly so I still don't know what causes it..
12. Back to 8.0 but it'll stop blinking
13. Rinse and repeat.. reflashed like 20 times.. and now it hasn't blinked day 2..
Each time I try to flash to 8.1 it starts to blink.. not sure how to upgrade but I'm also all stock nonrooted as well.. I've never had any issues upgrading until now since new.
Pretty sure it's not hardware as it doesn't blink in recovery.. only when it boots into the o/s.
But each time I try to upgrade either from the phone.. or the official 8.1 zip from XDA.. it will start to blink.
Good luck..

Hi bringit8,
Thanks for sharing the solution worked for you, later I will try to use this tool (https://www.getdroidtips.com/unbrick-oneplus-5t/) to try to install form "real" factory reset the device. If not I will apply your solution.
Keep you updated
Thanks again,
Its seems after 3 days my screen just started to blink again.. all i did was open the photos app, still on 8.0. Support says to send in the phone, since I've flashed the phone so many times.. maybe it is a hardware issue.

To whom has similar issue. I finally had to send the device to be repaired, just got the report and lookd that the issue was on the motherboard.
Waiting the device to receive.
By the way great warranty service from Oneplus side! Sent the device last tuesday and today Thursday is already in the final function check.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
