Hi,
I cant get the audio to work in bootanimation.
ive tried copying from GummyBearRom with nyancat + nyancat music, this doesnt work, at least the music doesnt its called boot_audio.mp3 and i needed to put this in system/media/audio/notifications/ and bootanimation.zip in system/media
then i found another example wich uses
android_audio.mp3 in system/media
bootanimation.zip in system/media
in both situations the sound doesnt work on boot.
please help.
Grtz
try
boot_audio.mp3 in /system/media/
(edit: oops this is a Nexus thread. It worked om my SGS2 ;-)
could anyone please upload it and share it with me?

in order to get the zip files active you need to change these original files i just posted in your system\bin
backup the samsungani and rename bootanimation to that name,
the go to system\media and drop your bootanimation.zip there 3 times just rename 2 of them to ODEAnim.zip and sanim.zip
then the bootlogos will work

there is not a bootanimation.zip in my system/media folder. Are you sure that's the right path?
Plus, there is only an archive file named bootanimation on system/bin... is that the archive? Idk very much about the root files.
anyone figure out how to change the bootanimation? ive been trying with some XXHDPI & XHDPI bootanimations but for some reason even after having the permissions at "rw- r-- r--" its stuck at the same boring LG bootanimation. if any other fellow user has gotten it to work help a brother out.
i'm using the stock nexus 6 bootanimation with absolutely no modifications besides importing it into /system/media/
ive tried that and still it comes up as a blank screen when i add my bootanimation? whats your permissions set as?
