Today i unlocked bootloader and tried to install custom recovery. Boot loader is unlocked and recovery installed sucessfully. But recovery shows just black screen.
Please help
Which os ver. you are using ??
If you are using lolipop you have to install 64 bit twrp
But cwm recovery is same for both kitkat and lolipop also.

If you install phillz touch reovery or twrp 32 bit on lolipop rom you will face black screeen on reovery mode i have also faced this problem earlier..

I tried to root my LG-855 last night, i managed to get superuser installed but i cannot install a customer recovery.
i used flashify to flash recovery but i am getting a secure boot error when rebooting and when i try to manually boot into recovery it just goes to stock recovery.
I am currently on lollipop
please help
I just rooted my LG G3-D855 and i flashed TWRP-2.8.6.1 with flasify and everything goes fine. Did you try re-flash it again or some thing just when wrong when you rooted your phone.

I have tried again using flashify and the app you have the link to and still nothing. I think I may just unroot it and try again. Cheers for the help

Flashing recovery like on kitkat is not working on lollipop I think. There is a thread here on XDA about this

Managed to get it sorted. Used autorec app to flash stock recovery(although not needed) and they flashed twrp and it worked.

I fomatted boot on recovery now im stuck on galaxy w logo, i can still boot to recovery and odin mode. how can i solve this?
I have installed a new rom and gapps, but its just keeps on stucking up.

There is post with B170 rOM for TWRP in here or you can put stock recovery zip for TWRP and flash it. Phone than reboot to stock recovery and than you can finally reboot to system.

Hi I went to root my HTC One M8 using the toolkit created. I then installed super su with TWRP and rebooted the device. The device was stuck in the HTC One M8 logo. I went into recovery again and wiped data and cache. Rebooted again but this time after the HTC ONE M8 screen i just get a black screen. I thought I might of deleted the system so I tried to instal Cyogenmod 13 onto it. I flashed the Cyogenmod recovery and booted into the recovery. But everytime I do that I go back to fastboot in bootloader. I cannot get into recovery. Tried to install TWRP again but same thing. I'm super stuck!!! Someone please help?

The toolkit hasn't been updated in over a year, and contains obsolete TWRP and SuperSU versions. These will almost surely cause of your issues: no boot after root, custom ROMs won't install.
Did you relock in order to RUU? If so, what happened?
If you still want to go the TWRP route, you'll need to unlock the bootloader again.
Then download current version TWRP and install using the fastboot method: https://twrp.me/devices/htconem8gsm.html
Then try to install CM13 or another custom ROM again.

Wait, did you flash CM13 ROM or Cyanogen Recovery? Those are 2 completely different things. Cyanogen recovery is like their own version of TWRP (custom recovery). Its not a ROM.
After flash the Cyanogenmod 14.1 (Official - nightly version) from TWRP (modded version), there is no way to access to recovery mode.
After reboot in fastboot I can see that the bootloader is unlocked and other data but when I select to boot in recovery mode appears the 1+ logo and after a black screen. I tried to flash the stock and twrp (official) recovery but the result in both case is the same.
During the recovery flash, no errors are present.
Could you help me ??? Please I'm bit scared.

I had a similar issue with SultanXDAs CM13 ROM, and any official version of TWRP would get me a black screen. I came across this post, used the attached version of TWRP, and it worked like a charm.

It whent fine when I did this in the below order(bcz of some kind of partition issues with cm14)
Flash mod twrp again
Wipe everything xpt internal
Then flash cm13
Now you are good to go....enjoy
Now flash your oxygen os rom from downloads.oneplus.net
You will be Back to stock
