Following around the official root tutorial from Elephone's forums (here), the post recommends using SP Flash Tool. Unfortunately, the accompanying link is no longer available for download.
Can a member here please mirror the tool to something like androidfilehost? I don't really wish to download the tool from outside XDA.
Help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Install SuperSU from Google Play. You will have root.
Don't need it for root, need it for recovery.

I'm not sure those rooting apps will work with the desire z... have u tested them? I rooted a long while ago, so i might not be up to date with rooting stuff, but afaik to root our device it had be done manually, or ud have a big risk of bricking... As for the other tools, i think having a link to the htc drivers is the most usefull... but anyways, thanks for caring and putting this stuff up, might come in handy some day

I tested the superoneclick and it worked for me on 20+ devices including Desire Z.

I accidently updated my phone with the wrong rom now my phone has the cn version and I wanted to update it back to the ww version, but I can' t download the "Necessary tools and Drivers " - here's the link : mediafire.com/folder/dphns299rwpwb/ZENFONE_2_TOOLS
It says I have to be premium, can someone download it for me and send it via wetransfer or any via please?

what tools do u need? u can get all d tools as well as tutorials for flashing & stuff from these threads... I have been looking for firmware zips for the OnePlus 3 but have not been able to find them. In particular I am looking for the 3.2.7 firmware. I know I can download the whole rom and flash it, but a lot of times it is possible to get a flashable zip with just the firmware.
Can anyone point me in the right direction and maybe post a link?

Search ”3.2.7” (without the quotes obviously)
You'll find the modem and modem+firmware files. Download the modem + firmware file

I see on w3bsit3 forums there is a discussion about that device, I hope you can recovery it!! (I beleive thay have the Firmware) also you should check 4pda forums (this one is on Russian)

You must install the firmware from the mirror version (The mirror and the tablet like version have exactly the same internals) so the hardware is the same CM84, therein a 1.90 beta version that would work great, it has some better quality of life enhancements! on that thread I asked in Russian if I can flash that mirror firmware on my tablet like device, I flashed it and everything was ok! In case anyone is searching info, here is the thread from 4pda:

If you manage to make an account (there are tutorials on web how to solve 4pda Russian captcha to register) you will se a download link from a custom rom named CATS IV you can safely flash.

I had Desire 630 briefly and I saw that ROM is hard to find, also there are a lot of web sites that charge RUU 5$ and more.
So I have created this ROM. It is not modified, not signed and it flashes only system and boot so it is good for S-ON devices with unlocked bootloader.
