Galaxy Tab S SM-T705- Flash Other Countries Firmware - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

[SM-T705] flash other countries firmware
Hi there,
I have bought an italian SM-T705 LTE device (T705XXU1ANF7/T705ITV1ANF1/T705XXU1ANF6) and want to flash a german firmware (T705XXU1ANF7/T705DBT1ANF1/T705XXU1ANF7). I already found posts which discussed the SM-T700 WiFi version (seems to be possible), but for the LTE version, I found only one statement which says "might give problems with the radio". I do not want to brick my tab, so I would like to know if someone already did that successfully (or even unsuccesfully) and if there is something special to do.
Thanks in advance, Markus

You will be fine.

Thank you very much, ashyx. I flashed the DBT firmware and everything went fine.

Official USA firmware?

Hi, I unrooted my note 8 GT-N5110 because it was acting all wacky. In searching for instructions on how to unroot (not that many) I wasn't too sure of which was the right official firmware to flash via odin. Though some of the few sites I found on official firmware, they somewhat always pointed me to http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-N5110 Now here is where I get confused. They have regions listed (sammobile does as well) but none of them say anything about USA or North America for that matter.
Can someone please tell me what region we are supposed to be using for this tablet (N5110). I ended up flashing the one from region FWD (Morocco) seemed to be the latest and everything is working fine. I did notice that there are two new Samsung apps that weren't on it out of the box ie: Learners Hub and Readers Hub.
My concern is that maybe I'm screwing with my future updates. Again can someone please help me with which is our region (USA).
Thanks in advance.
Try looking on http://www.sammobile.com/
You should be able to find the correct firmware. I flashed back to 4.1.2 for UK region (from 4.2.2)

[Q] Which i9192 modem to use in Europe?

Hi all,
I have a Galaxy S3 already and have been following this forum for a while, but I have never had problems with it as with this one. It's about my Galaxy S4 mini DUOS (i9192). I've bough the phone from an unofficial seller because i9192 was never supposed to be imported in Croatia (EU). The phone came with I9192XXUAMF7 build and modem. Today I've expereinced that the phone was running fine but I couldn't make any calls and nobody could call me untill I've taken out the battery and SIM. It was runnign on one SIM only. Network was OK and signal was full. I' would like to change the modem to see if that's the problem.
My question is - has anyone experienced anything similar or has changed the XXUAMF7 modem? I'm located in Croatia (Europe) and the closest country modem localisation is Ukraine. Should I change it to Ukraine modem?

Thanks for the notice! I have SGS 3 and it has no Knox bootloaders so I'm not familiar with it but from what I've read it's a no no. My original bootloader is stock Samsung. No Knox icons in download mode. I just might try your ROM. Have been reading about it just a few minutes ago.
I've been listing sammobile FWs and it gives me Russian and Ukrainian ROMs. You're suggesting I give one of them "a spin"?

[Q] Changing CSC code to BTU.

Hello from a newbie & sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, but I can't seem to find it anywhere for the 2014 edition.
I've bought a 32Gb LTE Note 10.1 2014 edition from Hong Kong and needless to say it comes with a heavily biased Chinese version of the operating system, now having read other fora, I have managed to understand how to flash the device using Odin, however I was after a UK (BTU) version of the rom, but what I have got is the Spanish one.
OK, I have no problem with it as I have changed all of the settings to use UK English, but I am looking for a way to change the CSC code to from PHE (Spanish) to BTU (UK) so that I can get any firmware updates for it.
The one thing I want to do is keep it as near to stock condition as possible, namely I don't want to root it (is that what it's called?).
Can someone please advise me how to do this please.
Thanks.
If you know how to flash the thing, just get a Spanish firmware from sammy mobile and flash it
I've also ordered a 605 from HK. I intend to flash this firmware.
I bought the P605 from Germany and it is unlocked but T Mobile branded. Can I flash the UK firmware ?
Thanks,
Halldor

@Ben81.
That despite it saying it's a BTU firmware isn't. It's the one I downloaded and is the Spanish one (PHE), I really do wish that those who provide these firmwares ensure that when they say it's from the UK it IS from the UK and when you do the flash it gives you the correct CSC code, when you plug it into Kies.
Thanks for the info. Will probably still flash that as it'll be better than the Chinese one!
EDIT: Installed it and can confirm it gives a PHE code.

Chinese tablette, change/add language, flash to french?
Hi guys,
I'm on the same boat, I bought the device from China for my dad, but it only has Chinese/Korean/English language and a lot of stuff he doesn't want/need.
I would like to flash the tablet to French, but it seems the ROMS are country dependent, and I don't want to brick it just yet
What's my best option to get french on the device?
Any feedback on this will be appreciated!!

Thank you
SM-T800C (China) is compatible with SM-T800
SM-T805C (China) NO (modem.bin, sboot.bin and system.img you can not flash through Odin). If you want, you can flash this firmware:

You'll have the European model with all the services of google working ..
Try to flash this latest firmware for Hong Kong. After the flash, you have to get into recovery mod and do the wipe reset factory.
Download

I haven't. I am being careful. I am waiting on Bodiva to answer my question. Bodiva if you are seeing this can you please advise
I'm in the UK, bought my Tab S 10.5 from eGlobal Central UK and when it arrived the system software was in Chinese. I was able to change it ok to English and the model number is SM-T800. The Samsung internet app home page is the Samsung Hong Kong site. All Google apps are present and correct and there are no preinstalled Chinese apps. But I can't get Odin to recognise it in download mode. I've tried different cables, different usb sockets, I've even tried it on 2 pc's but no use. Odin does see it on Com port 9 when the tablet is booted up, but doesn't see it at all on the 2nd pc. It connects as an mtp device on both pc's ok.
So even though its an SM-T800 Tab S, it looks like I have no mission of rooting it as Odin doesn't work. I suppose I could return it as I wasn't told in advance that it would be a Chinese one I was buying.

Hi, I used the ROM Bodiva suggested. It works perfect !
The only thing that doesn't work is the 4g connection. it doesn't recognize the SIM card (null / null IMEI). I am still looking for a solution for that. But for the rest the ROM is OK, can easily be flashed through ODIN.

which odin do you use.... I use odin 3.07, but it seems odin 3.09 for galaxy s4 also recognizes the tablet, although I haven't confirmed it actually works. See if this works: go to your tablet's settings, tap general, tap "about device", then tap "build number" 7 times. Now you have developer options. Now tap that and check enable usb-debugging. If you have installed adb, open a command terminal with admin rights and type "adb reboot download" (without the quotationmarks) put your original samsung cable in the top-usb port on the back of your computer, open odin 3.07, and check the connection.

That will be difficult if not impossible until someone can change the bootloader, even in Hong Kong if you tell them you live on
the mainland, they will not sell you a 4G model as it will not work.
One strange thing is that with every ROM ever made, if you for example took the SamsungIME apk and moved it to another device
that was similar, it worked fine, it does not in this, a Hong Kong 805 IME will not even register or be recognized on the 805C. That
is enough to suspect that China does not want you to replace that keyboard, but why? keylogging perhaps.

Hi, what would happen if I would flash an European 805 firmware on the 805C ?

No updates on firmware R800XXU1APH3

Hi guy,
I purchased samsung galaxy watch about 2 weeks ago from amazon. It was a international version. I thought it didn't had any different for US version plus it was cheaper the US version. Later on i found that samsung pay didn't work due to being international version and csc R800XAOU1DSL1 it workes perfect but i wanted Samsung pay to work so came upon a thread that show how to change csc but it worked on older versions not on tizen 4.0.0.4 so my only option was to downgrade so i did to firmware R800XXU1APH3 and changed csc to XAR now samsung pay work fine but stuck to Tizen 4.0.0.0 old version. When i try to update it says "software up to date" .
Need help!!
*if you guys need link to firmware or xda thread let me know
IMHO flash now DSL1 back... with netOdin...
Remember Backup BEFORE... as Full Wipe... Factory Reset...
Best Regards
Your problem is that APH3 was never released for XAR (you can check here).
Now that you are on XAR, you can simply flash DSL1, the same way you flashed APH3 and you should be fine, also for automatic future updates.
DSL1 is very hard to find. If you have link to it please post.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=81261659&postcount=133
Please be carefully and choose correct file for your SM-R800...
Best Regards
Thanks guys! Fingers crossed let hope it works.
Ill let you know :fingers-crossed:
