inverted ambient mode? - Moto 360

Can we invert the color of just the ambient mode? Since we have LCD screen white should use least energy than black. Also it is easier to see the time during the day.
If you go to setting -> accessibility -> color inversion. Now it is very easy to see the time in ambient mode. But everything else is inverted too.
Any ideas??

I've heard black uses the least, that's why they say to use a black background to save battery.

[Q] disco mode | night mode | dark mode | inverted colors

Hi there,
I'd like to have an option for minimum light emission in situations like a party or other similar dark places.
Inverted colors and very low light would be great. I think the car mode is a similar option but can only be triggered by the docking station. Is that correct?
How would I achieve that?
Cheers
Though it does not do exactly what you want, I myself use an application to decrease brightness to a setting lower than default. It's called 'Screen Filter', and it's free. Perhaps it is of use to you.
Good luck
I read about those apps but it's not what I want. I would rather prefer a setting for white text on black background PLUS decreased brightness.
Thx anyways.

Any night mode app which can turn page black, font white

Often at night when I use phone lowest brightness is still bright so I found apps which can dim it further but then they loose screen contrast too.
Is there any app which can make night mode of selected apps background dark & font light / white similar to youtube app?
UC browser had this night mode earlier but latest version they have removed this feature.
This is what I am looking to acheive

Accessibility - Negative Colors

Nice feature that I came across while exploring the Settings.
No longer do we need to mod the apks in order to change the apps to dark background, which some of us prefers, because we believe a darker screen saves battery. In this case, just need to tick the check box of "Settings - Accessibility - Negative Colors".
Enjoy!

A dark display on SAMOLED does save battery. And changing this setting makes everything white, no? Your post is confusing.
It turns the background to Black, a screenshot won't be able to capture it.
And you can access it by holding the power key, you just need to enable the accessibility shortcut option.

It not only turns background black, it just inverts colors.meaning if its black, it can become white and vice versa, but if there are color they too will turn negative like in those photos...
Its usefulness is beyond my comprehension :s
These settings are from ages,it's not new.

Its the sort of thing i would do before giving my note to a friend and trolling him that he had damaged it by showing the "decolorised" screen!
Hey, is there any way to enable this option for the drop down notified menu only? This would actually be useful...

Adjust ambient display brightness?

Is there a way to brighten the ambient display, such as the clock and notifications that appear? I can barely see it in the sun. I had no problem seeing my moto z play in the sun.

If you go into settings / display there is a brightness slider that you can use to manually set the screen at a brighter level. I'm not sure if that recalibrates the base Android uses in its ambient settings or not. If you just are used to a brighter screen and find that the ambient setting continues to make the screen dimmer than you like after using the slider you can just turn the ambient display feature off entirely. I personally like the feature but a lot of people don't and just turn it off.
There are also apps in the Play Store that allow you to manually adjust the screen brightness without going into the settings menu, if you want to have easier control over it.

I know that the AOKP ROM allows alot of modifications to the ambient display brightness settings. Other ROMs may do the same but I know and use the settings on AOKP. It's a very good ROM! Native settings don't have the options.
AOKP and Pixel Dust are the two roms I know of that have this option.
You don't need a ROM to kick in higher brightness on auto brightness.
Just root and install ElementalX kernel or one based on it.
Then install this widget and once toggled, it will give you way more max brightness on auto brightness.

I noticed that my wife's phone has significantly brighter ambient display. They have identical settings as far as I can tell. So I'm not sure but I would love to find out the answer cause I want mine brighter too
Go to advanced display settings and toggle off the option to wake the screen with new notifications, then turn off the lift to view gesture. Your ambient display should brighten significantly.

Changed my display size and Google now on the left most screen is in dark mode

I enabled dark mode and it annoyed me how Google now was still all white. I was pleased to see it go dark for some odd reason when I changed my display size. I'm not mad!
What size, I've tried them all but still white screen...(Jesus that sounds like a horrible movie)

Lmao make sure you have nuanced dark selected in themes first. In display size it was default then I changed it to small and Google now feed went dark. Now it's always dark no matter display size.

Whats Nuanced Dark?
What I do is that I have a Tasker profile to set dark mode to On when oem_black_mode becomes 1.
This Dark Mode toggle in Tasker sets Google's dark mode flag to on.
