My small advice for a good head start wud be to .. start opening up the framework and system UI apks ..
helped me in my ROM development .. u can make the UI better .. u can see it in my
upcoming ROM build
currently Mine is more of SGS 2 Look
got the SGS 3 system dump .. so gonna work on it to get a better UI
my other advice is ... download the S3 system dump .. and get the UI better

-its like any other roms with 5 icons edit and 2-3 apps added , and this rom doesn't look like S3 , my conclusion

How to Install SUNBURN_KITKAT
Use the Latest TWRP Recovery.
Do a nadroid backup or Titanium backup (EFS BACKUP IS COMPULSORY)
Download ROM and save it in External SD Card
Boot in Recovery by Pressing Volume up + Home + Power (when Device is off)
Recommend to do a full wipe if Coming from other ROM
Super-wipe your phone (system, cache, data & internal SD Card to avoid any Issue)
Wipe Dalvik
install rom
Reboot Your Phone

The Latest Philz Recovery. is good cz i never had problem with any devices when i tried installing it...

Ok its working here,im in twrp 2.6.3.1 everything seems to be ok,the only bug ive found is google play crashing every time,its making the roms useless,great work continue your work,if need some help ask,im not a developer but ill help you if i can,cheers!

no music and ringtones and dosen't deep sleep at all. tried every workaround knwn.. please help if anyone can suggest. it can play youtube with sound and call sound and mic is ok. ( both rom) mine is F240 K

Yeah, can you update it to 368 firmware, 5.0.2 firmware is low performance because of memory reload issue. I dont wanna use 5.0.2 anymore after install 368 update lol.

Red code. Can you add a sound category in your kernel, and other functions like venkat kamesh's kernel? I want to change that kernel because I have some battery drains, and I want to create a rom with some tricks (when I have time) but the kernel of venkat seems to be buggy... With 5.1.1 and your kernel with all functions I hope that I'll

C'mon man, none of this here... He's doing all this for free, so he is definitely not obligated to "serve" you, not should you be giving him "service stars". Porting a kernel is not easy, especially if you don't own the device. If he didn't reply, he's probably busy, or he didn't want to, none of which are a reason to complain like this.
EDIT: You're probably better off asking one of your device developers to port this kernel from the source code, rather than asking the dev, who probably doesn't own the device

ok,i tried the .368 version,dt2w works for a little while after the screen is turned off then stops working untill i manually turn on the screen again??!!
edit: it works sometimes, sometimes it doesnt. but its a great first effort by the dev and im sure he'll fix it in the comming versions

Some times system cannot detect the delay between two taps
But you can play with this bug (see this video)
