Hello all I have a AT&T G$ that was unlocked to run on T-Mobile. Initially I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/o...ot-lg-t3164765 Method to root the phone. Every thing was working fine except for wifi tether. What ever I tried it did not work for wifi tether. I decides to try http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-...810pr-t3168322 method to switch to PR firmware hoping this will allow wifi tether. How ever after doing through all the steps successfully the phone went in to boot loop. I did the factory reset as mentioned in few places still no change. Finally I tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/g...k-kdz-t3107848 with PR firmware hoping this will help but still same issue (boot loop).
I can access download mode just fine, any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Yes I have tried both CSE and Normal. Still the same.

I have an LG P903, the Optimus 4G LTE from Bell in Canada.
I wanted to see if there were any good custom ROMs for it so I installed CWM using this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410454
Which worked like a charm.
Then I went on to install Kernelpan1c's 0.3 ROm form here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459610
My device proceeded to bootloop. So I intially jsut restored my nandroid backup that I had made, it continued to bootloop so naturally I read through that thread and pretty much all the other threads in the Nitro HD forums to no avail.
I came across this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412367
So I decided to do that. I tried various ways of working through that thread and read and searched and read and searched, I worked it out trying download mode, flashing various version trying to even be able to go into CWM but I just get the same LG logo boot loop. Ive tried and tried and tried but I can't get past it.
So I've done everything the video says to not be a noob, yet I guess I still am. I desperatley need some help if anyone can help me.
The big thing was flashing SU640 with kdz_fw_upd_en or with uptestex_mod2_marwin.exe wouldnt work no matter what I tried.
Can you try formatting /data manually:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22533342&postcount=235
Then re-install my ROM and see if it boots
If you need more detail than kernelpan1c's post, I put this together for someone else.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22535632&postcount=100
Yeah, neither of those work because I'm unable to boot into CWM or have the phone detected and be able to use adb shell.
I just went into the Bell store and told the guys exactly what I did, step by step I even told them it was rooted/screwed around with and they said thats fine, apparently the plan I have actually covers that. So they're sending off to LG to get repaired, they said that if LG refuses to repair it because it's rooted that they'll replace it for me.
However just as a fail safe, I still wanna investigate what happened.
So adb shell wouldn't work for some reason, saying it wouldn't recognize it, however the other two programs and the mobile support tool did. When i botted into recovery (tapped the power button twice and so on) it wouldn't do stock recovery or boot into CWM.
Thanks for the help anyway, but any other ideas?
Hello, I've spent about the past 5 days trying to figure this out. So, how this started was, a while back when I first got the phone, I wanted 4.4, so I rooted my phone, and tried to flashify a recovery like CWM and TWRP. Both of these failed. I tried many times, and no matter what I tried, flashing always failed. But guess what, my stock recovery was erased in the process. I forgot about it until today, where I found the OTA update to 4.4 was released, and attempted to do it. To my dismay, I forgot I had no recovery mode, and instantly got the "boot certification verify" error screen. Now All I can access is download mode, to my knowledge. So I've been trying to fix this, either by installing stock recovery, or another way to install a custom. All to no avail. When I use the lg flash tool for the stock recovery, it fails at "BIN CRC Check". Every.... Single.... Time. Despite downloading multiple replacement files. I would be perfectly content with installing a customer recovery, but the ways I see require the phone to be on, and use the built in recovery mode. At this point, my phone is bricked, and I am looking for any and all ways to either A) boot back up normally without installing a recovery and fix it later, or B) install a recovery, even if it's the hard way.
Update:
I followed this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
It looked like it was going to work. I am using a Xubuntu virtual machine. I was copying the files over, and every time it finished copying a file, it unmounted and remounted my phone (I don't know if that was suppose to happen, just worth mentioning if it wasn't suppose to). I was super excited to do it. Hard rebooted my phone. And now it's just a blank screen. I have no logo, no error, and no download mode like I had before. Seriously need some help here.
Update#2:
I have the flash tool correctly working. Awesome! But..... I still have no download mode here.... So I can't use the tool....
Lastly, I am aware of the title.... i don't know how that happened. I intended to type "need", but somehow that happened. I do not know how to edit it.
Can you enter recovery?
Sent from my LG-LS980 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Ouch bud you are hard bricked pretty much. It sounds to me from what you explained all the partitions are wiped clean. I don't think there is any recovery from that unless you have a nand programmer

Im confused you said you had download mode then didnt? If it works try using the alternate G2 dll named 8974, because the second time I used Flashtool only the alternate dll worked which is weird because just hours earlier I had used the original, the original said wrong model/download failed the second time.

As I explained in my update, the method I used didn't work and had removed all modes I could boot into, including download mode.

Try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477595
Then use LG Flash Tool, the Verizon guide works for LS980. Except use LS980 dll, and you must use Verizon USB drivers (Not T-Mobile, ATT etc), or Flash Tool wont work.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448960
I definitely hope you only semi bricked..... Tell me if that works.

from what he said it sounds like a hard brick
Damn, not even fastboot? Feel sorry for you.
I'll be the first to admit I royally screwed myself here through lack of reading. I came here from the evo 4g lte after upgrading and decided it was time to root this phone. I had the zvc update. Here was my exact process:
1. used ioroot- successful
2. used flashify to flash twrp- unsuccessful (secure boot error)
3. flashed zv7-aboot.img through adb- phone gives up the ghost
So now my phone is stuck at the LG logo and the led that usually lights up when it is booting stays dark. I can get my phone into download mode but no further. Any and all help is welcome.
dont panic!
I think You have no other options except for flashing the stock firmware. Flashing the stock will unbrick your device.
Fix in the works

Yea, I just found this thread about reverting to stock. I'm gonna try the TOT method and see if that works because the 1st method doesn't agree with my computer.

Okay..Good luck unbricking!
I purchased two note 3's. The black one boots up fine on 4.4.2 just fine, but the white one however out of the box
experienced serious rebooting issue that almost made it impossible to root and attempt to tweak. Both these phones were factory sealed in the box. I was eventually able to get white note 3 rooted. I unlocked using chainfires region unlock.apk, and sure enough that unlocked the phone
domestically for use on At&t's network. However, when I attempted to flash back to Jelly Bean modem the phone accepted modem, but still had reboot issue. I tried to install HyperDrive Rom, and even that couldn't fix reboot issue. I turned OFF wifi scanning, and all of the other tricks that have helped people, but this phone continues to reboot about 30 seconds to 1 minute into main screen boot. Any IDEAS??
I am open to trying a myriad of ideas to fix this, I really need to get fixed to sell ASAP. Thanks for your help!
Neither of these phones can be sent back to Samsung. Need to fix myself
Thanks:good:

Thanks for your help guys. Yes, I have performed a factory reset. Flashed stock firmware in Odin and Heimdall, flashed JB modem. Rooted, flashed Hyperdrive Rom, turned wifi scanning to off, and seriously tried every trick in the book. Perhaps try another rom on JB? I've heard some Note 3's have a Kitkat issue. Someone suggested hardware could be faulty but that doesn't add up since the phone doesn't reboot in download or recovery mode..
I was on 13B rooted, then flashed the stock system to return to unroot status. Everything worked fine. Plugged into computer and Verizon Upgrade Assistant suggested upgrade to 13C, so I bit. After a 4 hour (!) download of a 2 Gb file, the upgrade install proceeded without incident, and resulted in a successful completion according to the Assistant. Phone started booting and the Upgrade Assistant re-read the phone as being on 13C, but, the phone stalls and refuses to boot past the Verizon red splash screen. I have pulled battery and tried numerous times to boot, with no luck. It just sticks at the same spot.
Any suggestions? I'm nervous about re-flashing 13 B for fear of bricking it, so perhaps flash 13C kdz?
Thanks in advance for any help.
I have now tried flashing the 13C kdz unsuccessfully a number of times. I verified the checksum on the downloaded kdz file, and attempted to flash it on three separate computers where I had successfully flashed the G4 in the past. Each time that I tried flashing the 13C it reads: "Required Information cannot be found. Contact the system administrator."
I am still stuck here. Even in the flash tool, the phone is read as having 13C on it, but it still will not boot past the Verizon splash screen. Any thoughts on whether I should dare try flashing 13B, or would I end up with even more of a brick then I have now?
Thanks again.
DO NOT FLASH 13B!
Isn't Android 6 24c?
I got stuck on the Verizon screen, but a wipe fixed it at that point.

Thanks, and you are correct on the number, MM is 24C.
May I ask, how were you able to wipe when stuck on the Verizon splash screen? I would love to do that if possible.
Thanks again.

Hold volume down and power on if I remember correctly to put the phone in recovery mode. From there you can choose to do a wipe/factory reset.
I had issues with way long boot times, the wipe fixed that, but then apps kept FC. I ended up downloading the KDZ file and used the flash tool to reflash 24C. Everything is stellar now.
Thank you so much, mikeewhite! I followed your instructions and they worked perfectly, so I am back up and running. You are the reason that I love this list so much, as there are so many people like you generous with their time and advice.
