In the engine, the Acer Predator 8 accompanies an Intel Atom x7-Z8700, upheld by an Intel HD Graphics GPU and 2 GB of RAM. 32 GB or 64 GB of inner stockpiling alternatives are accessible, which can likewise be further extended by means of microSD card, by up to an extra 128 GB. For a gadget planned because of gaming, the measure of RAM sounds a tad bit low, yet the Intel chipset ought to make for a strong gaming background and great general execution. Should you ever need to take pictures or do feature visits, there is a 5 MP essential camera on the back, alongside a 2 MP front-confronting unit. Just like the case with most tablet cameras, this camera setup is likely not going to be exceptionally amazing however.

do you have any idea how to root this device ive tried everything but is not working and i cant disable secure boot..plssss help

I have unlocked the bootloader (that was easy), but I'm learning how to compile TWRP for my device. Any assistance in getting this done would be appreciated.

[Q] What's the difference between Samsung Focus i917 MMCP and i917 SMCP

Was just going through the code of the latest WP Support Tool by Microsoft when I noticed that there are two different models of Samsung Focus.
Samsung Focus SGH-i917 MMCP
Samsung Focus SGH-i917 SMCP
Both these versions have seperate FFUs as well. Anyone has any idea what's different between them?
As for Omnia 7, it only has one model so I don't think its carrier specific.
Update:
Here's a screenshot

This is a long shot....
Maybe it has to do with the fact that Omnia 7 is just NAND whilst the Focus can entail expandable storage.
Just a rough guess.

But that shouldn't mean it has two different models. If anything, there are two models of Omnia 7 - 8 GB and 16 GB - so it should be the device which lists two models.
it has something to do with the memory of the focus
mmcp=MultiMedia Plus Card (MMC Plus) High Speed Memory
SMCP-Smart Media Flash Card Memory (im not sure if this is correct)

[Q] some doubts with my new device :D (ram & mass memory, camera)

Hi guys
I bought this phone recently and I have probably what may seem silly doubts. They are about Ram memory and Mass storage memory amounts.
The phone it's supposed to come with 1 GB of Ram memory and 4 GBs of mass memory. But when I mess around with the pone I see different things:

Why just 723 mb of ram -mostly taken by the system lol. So where is the rest?
Other thing. Could someone upload any picture made with captivate's cam. Cause I've been taking around some photos and quality it's a bit crapy, I'd say it's even worse than my old N95, even with a higher resolution sensor. It's a pity I guess. Im afraid that this is not a "front line model" in shops so it carries worse guts within than other models like s3, s4.
I'll upload later some pics made by the cam.
By the way, I haven't found how to access mass memory with USB cable. I've read that you need to be root to do it in 4.xx and install some sort of software.
WTF IS THIS. IOS? Come on

Wonder what are the chances we will be seeing a port of this to the Ouya? Or if it is even possible. Really excited to see the developer preview come tomorrow.
It should be possible. Any devs want some help testing?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I was thinking exactly same idea when i saw their keynote yesterday.
Or there is way to put like Chromecast on it instead?
Well, i doubt this will be released open-source, since previous versions (Google TV) has not. But it should still be portable once we get an Android L custom ROM.
Once CM12 gets released for OUYA, i think i might be able to port it...
Ouya does not meet the hardware requirements (1GB RAM < 2GB RAM).

When has that ever stopped the Devs before
I'm not saying it's impossible - but I imagine that if Google says you need 2GB RAM, then a port to a 1GB RAM machine, especially with a dated CPU like the Tegra 3, probably won't run all that well.

Vido W11Pro3, the other Intel Cherry Trail X5-Z8300 RAM 4GB Tablet PC

I have seen this big news about Chinese tablet pc manufacturer. Vido, Yuandao, which will relase Vido Vido aka Window aka Yuandao have been around a while, making budget tablet PCs. Naturally, it started with Android, and as the market has been dictating of late, moved on to Windows for Vido W11Pro3, and it will in stock later.
The Vido W11Pro 3 has a 11.6-inch 1920 x 1080p display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It’s powered by the 1.44GHz quad-core*Intel Cherry Trail X5-Z8300 SoC that we’ve seen on a lot of other tablets from China of late.
Moving on, it has 4GB of RAM, 64GB of on-board ROM eMMC (sorry folks, no SSD here), a 2 mega-pixel front facing camera, and a beefy 9000mAh battery.
That said and done, the main feature of the tablet according to its makers is its ability to take different forms:
It will take almost at $300, which will be also the best rival of Chuwi hi12. So which one will you choose? You can have a try for Chuwi hi12, if you have got the coupon for it.
