So I got smt705 and the smt707a
Smt705 - was awesome but I found out it doesn't support AT&T frequency
Smt707a - doesn't have a dialer or messages app and I understand you can't add them or they won't work.
I looked around for away to get either of them to work didn't find anything
Is it possible to add by root / rom AT&T frequency to the smt705 or getting the smt707a to work with dialer so I can make and receive calls and text messages?
Thanks in advance

Hello, have been using the Revolution rom since I got my DHD but have been having major issues sending MMS messages. I just get a generic Service Failure error message after multiple attempts at sending.
I'm on T-Mobile UK / Orange
I have made sure that:
WIFI is off
GSM only
I am connected to T-Mobile rather than T-Mobile Orange
Still unable to send MMS messages, when I recieve them I get them sent to the web interface most Providers use. I have got picture messaging enabled on my T-Mobile phone plan.
Any ideas / help you guys can provide?
I am flashed to the latest Radio for Revolution and just flashed to the 3.5 rom aswell but still have the same issue.
Not a complete answer but the reason you cannot receive is because T-Mobile only allow you to receive AFTER you have sent a message.
Fix your sending issue and your receiving issue will solve itself.
Have you checked that your APN settings are correct? Also, why do you use GSM only? Having 3G on will make sending faster.
Fair enough to the first reply and I have triple checked that the APN settings are correct.
By default the call log in the dialer shows sms messages as well (logs of them, not the actually message). You can change this by hitting menu, then view by and selecting all voice calls. It will stay like that for a little while but then will revert back to showing them (a battery pull will also make them come back after it reboots) is there anyway to permanently only show calls in the call log?
edit: did some searching and found you cant (at least on the older samsung phones like the vibrant) unless there is a mod, or you replace the mms.apk

For me, the list type I select (calls only, I don't know why anyone would want a log of text messages...) sticks until the next reboot.
The title pretty much says it all. Long texts (maybe 140-160) appear to send (after a long delay) but the recipient never gets them. This happens on CM9 and Paranoid. I haven't tried to flash stock ICS yet, but the issue is really frustrating. My friend only recently got a phone with unlimited texting, so I don't know if this has been going on before now. I don't know what could be the issue. Any ideas?
Also, no one can send me emoji - they just show up as two diamonds with ? marks in them. I tried all the popular SMS replacements, and installed the corresponding extra support packs for emoji. I did a wipe and installed JB (instead of ICS) and it still doesn't work. Another Sprint phone (original Evo running CM7) was able to receive them just fine. Is it possible something about Google Voice is interfering on the network end?
Thanks.
Maybe the google voice. I use cm9 and use chomp sms with the emoji packs. In setting I change it to cdma instead of the default tmobile setting. Also I tell it to receive the mms. Then tell my regular sms app to not notify me and do not get my mms.
sent from my BAD A$$ Epic touch
Hi I recently changed my service provider from Mobilicity to Wind Mobile and now I cannot send any text messages.
Every texts I send out results in "Message Not Sent" right after I send out a message..
I did some research and it seems like I need to update my SMSC settings.. However I cannot access my SMSC setting on my S2X by entering *#*#4636#*#* into the dialpad as it disappears every time when I enter it completely..
Does anyone know how I could possibly go about to fix this?
(FYI I'm running Jedi Mind Trick X3)
You have to change your APN settings. These tell the phone what servers and such to send sms through. Hopefully your new carrier's website will have the proper settings on it somewhere. If not, call them.
Sent from my beastly Galaxy S 2.
I've fixed it after alot of trial and error.
Apparently you need to delete all the past SMS from your previous provider before you are able to send any new messages using your new provdier.. on the default SMS app anyway. Handcent and other sms apps works regardless

I was running a custom rom for a bit and just popped onto the pc and flashed a new rom, after that it is no longer letting me send text messages or call anyone...
I have Data and Mobile Networking, I can receive texts and I can browse the web and download apps.
I can't even see my APN settings without Tweaker and when I tried to set the APN settings it still didn't work. It is the same settings already there too.
can anyone help me fix this... I'd be really glad I can't stand this.
What ROM? And have you updated your baseband?
