This is pretty basic, but I can't find a answer anywhere, I'm sure I'm just not searching it right, but anyway I bought a rooted SGH-I317 with t-mobile as my carrier, with Android 4.1.2, on Clean ROM 3.3. I've done a cwm back up, but when I pick a new ROM will I choose a t-mobile version ROM since I'm on their network or a SGH-I317 ROM? And thnx in advance for any help you can give

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Please wait while I connect your question to this forum (where your device experts can be found):
> AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II > AT&T Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Note that to respond to replies, you will need to create an XDA account.
Also, I am confident that flashing a T-Mobile ROM on an AT&T device (since the model numbers are quite different) will have dire consequences.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
Hello I sent that question last night before I made a account here so I'm putting a name with this question so if you can help, and maybe even offer up some suggestions of which ROMS run cross platforms it would be greatly appreciated. Thnx again
You can use ROMs for T889 (T-Mobile), I317 (ATT), or N7105 (international?) do NOT flash a ROM if it has a modem with it that isn't what your specific device is (I317). Majority of the ROMs already have the modems stripped out so they can be universal for the three devices just read the details of the thread by the poster of the ROM.
Thnx for your help! I read in another post that if you install a new ROM with a updated boot loader you can't revert back, that won't affect me re-installing my cwm back up if I were to flash either dn4, cyanide, resurrection remix and something went wrong? I currently have I317ucalJ2 boot loader. Once again thnx for anyone's help they can offer me.

Ok, so i rooted my phone a few days ago, I am from the Philippines by the way and using a local carrier Globe. The phone has an Orange Carrier logo when i turned it on. Any way so i follow the instruction for rooting the phone and it was successful and works like a charm. But then i want to change it to JB 4.2.2 using the lates CM. I use goomanager and TWRP to be able to change it to the latest CM 10.2 i was able to change it without any problems but then i cant seem to receive 3G and LTE or 4G on my device. I manually change the APN information of my carrier to make sure it is correct but then i failed. i am still not able to get LTE. I have read some threads that it might be the radio or modem. But i am new to this, forgive my ignorance but i dont know what i need to look for. If there are some one who can point me in the correct direction i really appreciate it. or if there is something im doing wrong kindly help me straight this one out. A guide is much appreciated.

Hello everyone!
This is my first post on this forum so I hope I'm on right section. I apologize if I'm on incorrect forum. I have Samsung Galaxy S4 Clone MT6517 with android 4.1.1 and I want to upgrade it to newer version. I have already downloaded new custom firmware version 4.3. I rooted my phone but I can't access my recovery menu. I tried to modify it to CWM with MTK ToolBox but I think I didn't use correct version so I can't even now boot to recovery menu. I was looking for other menus but I couldn't find any. I hope someone can help me with this. Sorry for my bad english. Greetings!
Anyone?
I originally posted this under General, which is probably the wrong place to post this question; re-posting here:
I have a pristine looking insurance replaced Note II that I'd like to Root and Rom with a stable Rom that retains T-Mobil's WiFi Calling feature.
Also, I'm getting the unlock code for the device sent to me by T-Mobile; which I'd like to do as well. I do have a T-Mobile SIM for it and can get at an AT&T SIM to unlock it if necessary.
As far as Root/Rom goes; I'm fairly certain this limits me to Android 4.3 and below; since T-Mo hung Note II users out to dry for a factory 4.4.x update; and I need the WiFi calling feature to work properly.
This specific device showed up with the following on it and is currently locked.
Firmware: 4.1.2
Baseband: T889UVBMD1
Kernel 3.0.31-935627
Build No: JZ05K.T889UVBMD1 (probably redundant info)
I have 2 Questions to start:
1. Should I unlock this before or after flashing root/ROM?
2. What Root/Rom(s) is (are) stable and let's the T-Mobile WiFi calling feature working properly. (I've seen Info on Jedi Rom, not sure which of them would be best or if there are others that keep WiFi Calling)
Some advice on this would be sincerely appreciated; since I have no experience with unlocking and/or root/ROMs; though I've been reading and really can't find info on my first question.
TIA to anyone that can point me in the right direction.

Unlock it before anything with the provided code and steps from t.mobil, then root and flash any touchwiz rom. Go thru the comments for know issues on each rom. Jedi and conch are good.

This is still the wrong forum. This is the DEVELOPMENT forum. We have a Q&A forum plainly labeled. I am sorry you did not find it either time. It is labeled Q & A, Help, and Troubleshooting. That is the forum you are looking for. Here is the link. Good luck. http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-2-tmobile/help
Development Forums are for developers to share their work and post their Roms and Mods.
Questions belong in the Q&A section.
Thread has been moved to correct section and closed since you now have created this thread 3 times also against XDA rules. Please familiarize yourself with the rules..
I am not one to post these questions since I rather look around and try to find the answer (which I learn a lot in the process) BUT I have been looking and cant seem to find a LP that is for T-Mobile that has WIFI calling. For that matter, I cannot seem to find a 4.4.4 or 4.4.2 ROM that I can install using TWRP for this SGH-I747. Any "Pointing Fingers in the right Direction" would be much appreciated.
@DocHoliday77 Just wondering, but would you know the answer to the question above? Thanks!
I found this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development-i9305/rom-amcha-rom-kk-simply-cust-t2898961 for s3 AT&T version I9305 . can someone please help me install this on my s3 T-Mobile T999 version. I am interested in it because it has ultra power saving mode
Hello All
I have been looking for this for a long time with no luck.
I have a T-mobile Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919). US version Samsung phones only have few system language options and Turkish is not one of them. I am planning to give it to my dad who cannot speak English and obviously is not tech savvy.
What I need is the latest European ROM for Galaxy S4 which include Turkish language. It has to be stable (i.e. everything is working as it should be). Most ROMs I can find internet are customized for geeks like us, with problems here and there. I need something very close to stock so he can us it without needing any help from me. Can anyone point me to a thread or website where I can find what I am looking for?
Thank you all for your help in advance.
Perhaps this post in the general section will help you. [How-To] Install Official I9505 Firmware on T-Mobile M919
This is for installing I9505 rom with M919. Good luck and know that others understand your issues with the language barrier. My grandmother hates English anything unless it is "for business....."

Thank you!
I'll definitely check this out and post result here.
Well, I sincerely wish you would. I would like to try that rom my self, but without wi-fi calling, I feel that I would be lost. T-Mobile reception in my neighborhood is poor, but great everywhere else in the city.

Update. It looks like it's a 5.0.1 Rom from i9505. And there were too many steps to install. I was just curious if there were any original 4.4.4 ROMs that might be less adventurous. So I chose to install CM12.1 and has been testing it myself for the last few days without a problem. I decided to keep it on CM and give it to my dad.
Thank you again for your help though.
