note 4 s pen with older devices

is this possible, and just not been developed yet, or is it a hardware issue?

My note 4 s pen works fine on the note 2. What device are you trying it on?

It should work. Make sure you take out the spen from the other device slot or it may not work.

I was trying it with the note 8.0 thanks i hadn't taken out the stylus

S6 Camera Port and Swap

Couple quick concepts I'm confused about followed by an idea.
I want to install an S6 edge camera sensor into my Note 4.
I understand we don't have permanent root access on the note 4 because the bootloader is locked.
There is a developer version of the note 4 that can be purchased for a different price. Is it possible to turn a retail phone into a developer edition phone by flashing something?
Can I use the kingroot superSU method to get temporary root access?
Using the temporary root access can I port the Galaxy S6 camera application to my note 4? I read the porting thread here, but wasn't sure if it was only for developer phones or tmobile rooted phones.
Replacement S6 edge camera sensor: New users can't post links
Can I open my phone and replace the note 4 camera sensor with the S6 camera sensor? Using the S6 edge camera sensor, will it be fully functional and effectively "driven" by the ported S6 camera app? In my mind the camera app is the "driver" and I liken this to flashing a nvidia gaming GPU to think it's a workstation GPU and installing workstation drivers to gain new features. Is that a good way of understanding this?

I guess since it's just a new lens, the phone will never know the difference unless the software is specifically designed to compensate for an f/2.2 aperture. I bought the OEM s6 edge camera module from ebay for $20.00 I'm going to swap it in and see how it goes. I'll post pictures.
Finally, with the temporary root tools available can I do this process? Or next time I boot my phone the camera app won't work because I've lost root access.

Will The Note 5 S-Pen Work On The Galaxy S6?

Note 5 s-pen on GS6?
Does the s-pen work with the GS6 and if not is there a way of tricking the S6 into thinking its a note for so it can use the s-pens functionality?
Edit: Sorry this is my first time and first post on XDA so it might be stupid.

The power of the SPen is in the digitizer on the Note (behind the screen). Therefore, there is no way that I know of that would make the SPen work with any non-Wacom device. The SPen will only work with Galaxy Note devices.

I was just trying to edit a photo on my Samsung S6 and it gave an option to install the S Pen? So doesn't in fact work for photo editing on the S6?

That's just to install the SDK which you need for the photo editing capabilities.

Why not to upgrade from Galaxy S6 edge+ to S7 edge

1. Galaxy S6 edge+ has larger screen then S7 edge
2. Battery life is nearly as good as the Galaxy S7 edge
3. Galaxy S6 edge+ is still mightily powerful
4. It has all of the Edge screen features
5. Its camera has a higher-resolution sensor

Especially considering the loss of low-light capability. Nevertheless, the S6E+ still has a very good camera.

[Request] Edge Screen port

Can anyone do a port of the edge screen/edge lighting feature from a50s to a50 and other devices like a70?

Apps like aodNotify don't really work like I want them to, can't seem to set it up properly like on the S-series phones...
Would be nice if someone can make it work properly.

apart from camera and nfc everything seems exactly the same on A50 and A50s or A51. so it should be an easy port. Devs can try.

Maybe someone with custom recovery should flash it and reply if it is worth it. It is port of Galaxy S8 Edge, purposed for S7, but maybe will work.
