Hi,
I have a rooted H815T on v10B.
I am going to upgrade to v10C.
Is it possible to do OTA update for my rooted v10B?
If not, Is it safe to do the upgrade via LC Bridge? Does it wipe my data?
Thanks!

Can I udate my G3 with an ota with root? and if so where would I find an update for 400s
hey all,
My LG G3 D855 just got a new update found... V20F. I have 100% stock KitKat right now, V10o build, and its ROOTED.
If I do the software update automatically, will I lose root? Do I have to do anything like this whole bump thing etc? I just want Rooted V20F (Lollipop) and eventually I may put a rom on it... Am I ok? Or should I do something first?
thanks
If you want rooted Lollipop then dont do the update.
Flash TWRP and flash some prerooted Lollipop rom. That is the only way to have rooted Lollipop.
Hey there,
I actually have an V10i rooted stock on my G3 (D855 version, rooted with Towelroot).
Can I upgrade it with the OTA V10n proposed, without losing the root ?
Anyone here have already did it ?
Tks for the answers.

No OTA will remove root or brick your phone if you have twrp installed
Flash 10n kdz and reroot using purpledrake

Or flash any other version (V10A,B,C ...), then OTA to V10n and root.
Hey peeps!
So, I have a rooted a rooted v10h fw H815L.
Since I've rooted (about mid Oct) there have been 2 fw updates from my Israeli carrier (v10i and a very new v10k) which seem to fix some issues.
Now I want to update the phone, tried via LG Bridge but the update seems to fail.
What's the easiest way for me to update it now?
I don't have the patience for backing everything up and then restoring, and I don't mind updating to a non-rooted version and then root it back later on.
Thanks!
Did you try flashing a KdZ file? Also there is a rooted image in iandroid forum

Hi my friends, I am looking for a STOCK RECOVERY for my LG G Pad F 8.0 AT&T (V495). I was trying to do an OTA upgrade to 6 but after the Download and restart the installation is giving me an error because i am ROOTED. I need to flash stock recovery to be able to install new OTA upgrade to Marshmallow 6. Is someone have a 5.0.2 STOCK Recovery or maybe another idea on how can I do and upgrade to Marshmallow 6 I will appreciate any help. Thanks
Is there a KDZ or TOT available for your variant?
I am in the same boat. I can not find the stock rom anywhere. I would like to upgrade to to 6.0. I am rooted with king root. If the stock rom is not found is there a way to unroot and delete all root files so the update does not detect the root so we can update?

In order to take OTAs (starting with Lollipop) you have to never have been rooted (since the most recent time you've flashed a KDZ or TOT).
Unrooting isn't enough.
