Just wondering if anyone knows of what website to use to unlock the Galaxy note 5.

cellunlocker.net got it for 25bucks
Was the phone paid off? I tried to unlock through a website but it would not let me cause I didn't pay off the device yet

The phone has to be paid off to be able to unlock it.

I unlocked from att. Call them they will give you the code. Easy.

Just signed a 2-yr contract with AT&T. Called them to ask for unlock. They said to wait 2yrs.
so I used cellunlocker.net. It took them a whole week but they unlocked it.

Hello. I have a samung galaxy s3 i747 which was locked to Telus. I had an issue unlocking it with other sites. However, I found Unlock Client and it worked like a charm. Use them, their software works.
I can vouch for them as well, unlocked my Bell i747 through them worked awesome.
or you can take 5 minutes of your time, and call AT&T, and ask for your unlock code.
for free.

If I lived in the US and was an AT&T customer then perhaps I could phone and ask for the code, but I'm not and I can't.
Why is it all these posts are started by people with like 1-10 posts? Employee of the company in question much?
If I could just have one recommendation for an unlocking service from a reputable member here I'd be thrilled.
I can see how you would assume the OP probably works for the company first post ever and join date of Aug 2012, but I can personally say I have used their service and it works. I usually lurk and read on XDA but you can take my word how ever you want
I checked your posts, it was nice to see they weren't just 11 posts all promoting Unlock Client at various device forums here
I may try them out when my red S3 finally arrives.
I called ATT to unlock my S3 and they obliged. The problem is the unlock sequence doesn't work for me giving me an MMI error.

You need another carrier's SIM card to prompt the unlock menu. The dial sequence is only for non-NA variants.
(Sorry to thread jack)

I recently went overseas and used this guys xxx.cellunlocker.net, fast and worked on the first try. Use a diff carrier sim to unlock it with the code they send you.

if you've had your sgs3 for 15 days or more, they will unlock it.
also, you need to have your last months bill paid in full.

it depends on the CSR you get. after trying with 5 different live-chats, i finally got one who provided the code for my sister's 2-day-old SGS3 immediately without any questions.
I told them I'm traveling to Canada. That might have worked.
Got my Garnet Red AT&T S3 today (in New Zealand). Ended up going with mod edit:link removed.
I hate to have to say it, because I'm going to sound like one of the many shmucks who come here talking about unlock solutions in order to get $5 off the price, but the unlock code worked fine and only took about 10minutes to come through. Just to be clear, I'm not claiming the $5 off the price for making a post here, I just thought people wanting feedback from a user in good standing here at XDA would appreciate knowing this service is legit.
(lord knows I'd have loved to have seen one post from a user who was clearly trustworthy before I went through the process, no offence to the many helpful people who have confirmed various services before I did, it's just that tiny post-counts invite skepticism of planted posts)
I'll take the €5 then

Typically At&t won't give you a code until approx 6 months after the release of the device. In some instances it is sooner but not normally.

I have never had them give me an unlock code before 6 months. The last phone I tried this for I had it for 2 months which was my galaxy note and they wouldn't do it then either.

I just called AT&T to test this (I have no need to unlock personally), and after telling them I was going on an international vacation for a month, they gave me my unlock code within about 5 minutes. the difficult part was that I had to manually cut down a T-Mobile sim I had laying around, but a few snips of the scissors later my phone was unlocked for free.
Hi guys,
im new to this forum and so far im liking it... anyways back to the point; ill be going to Europe soon and my T-Mobile S3 not rooted, so im wondering if i take my phone overseas and put in a SIM card over there will it work or be blocked.
Thanks.
You need to call T-Mobile and tell them you are going to Europe-town and ask for an unlock code

That's an HTC thing of rooting and getting sim unlock at the same time. Rooting this will only root.

The last few time I've called tmo for my phones and my friends', it takes less than 24 hrs for them tk send it. You can request one unlock code every 90 days.

Why would you need more than one unlock code?
Does the phone re-lock after a while?
I'm kinda surprised with all the stuff that goes on here that SIM unlocking can't be done without calling t-mobile or buying from ebay.

Unlocked phones are easier to sale. I don't keep my phone more than 6 months. Plus when I get the warranty or insurance replacement phones, I need to unlock those.

I thought it was for the same device.
http://www.theandroidsoul.com/sim-unlock-galaxy-s3-easily-using-the-app-galaxsim/
This app is from a member on XDA, Spock12, and he says that it works on the international Galaxy S3, GT-I9300, but it might not work on the u.s. varients. I was wondering if there was a way to "port" over this application to work with AT&T?
Why not just call at&t and ask for the code?

Service providers give you the code when you ask for them? Why would they lock your sim in the first place than?

I bought my GS3 from ATT then 2 days later called and asked them to unlock it and they did. No problems at all for me. Not sure why so many other people are having issues.

Same for me. I bought it then a week later I got on to the online chat w/ AT&T & just asked them for the unlock code. They gave it to me w/ no problems! Took about 5 minutes to get it from the rep.

We did the same for my wife's White SGS3. She really wanted the iphone 5 (tried to talk sense into her but it was of no use...die hard icrap user). So the deal was if she could sell the SGS3 for enough to get the iphone she could. She called, got the unlock code, went to tmobile and borrowed a micro-sim and finished the unlock. I then rooted it, installed SU and Busybox...then we sold it on ebay for almost $700. So now she has an iphone.
Just call ATT and get the code. If they start to give you trouble just tell them you'll be going out of country to Canada for a while as part of your job and want to take your phone and not the crappy business phone most of the time they'll just give it to you along with instructions. If not, call back in a few minutes and get someone different.

That's what I told em. That I was going out of the country. I don't think it even mattered. You could tell them anything & they'll give it to you. And WHY would you let your wife do something stupid like that!?!?!?

Damn. You might wanna log back online again & talk to a different rep. The person that gave me mine didn't ask any questions & even told me that Samsung supplies the unlock codes for all of their devices as soon as you buy it. If I were you, I would try again. You'll eventually get a cool rep that will give it to you.

indeed, just about to update that the int'l care rep gave me a 8-digit code, saying that if I get a foreign micro sim, the device will ask for it and be ready to go. (hopefully no glitches in there..)
Or you could of just searched around here and you would have found the free way to unlock it without having to waste time online. Check this

I'm psychic and I can see what happens to our bootloader in the future. Unfortunately, if I reveal it to you, it will cause a rip in the space-time continuum and we will all die.

AT&T sickens me! Not only have they butchered this phone and delayed updates but their latest stunt is unforgivable. I got a text saying as a note 4 owner I would be eligible for a free gift. Apparently if you put the code into the mobility website you can get a free t-shirt that says "If I was with Verizon I'd have Root by now!". How low can they sink?
So today thru the T-Mobile device unlock app I was able to unlock the phone for use with any gsm carrier. I also checked my plan and they took the monthly $30 Equipment plan charge off! So I technically got a note 7 for $120 bucks as I only paid for it for 4 months! Still works great

Definitelt not. I got the phone in october and they only charged me for the EIP for 4 months. Check yours now they might of removed your EIP completely! Mines not showing up anymore..
No, they charge me for $32 with change. Got yours in October? I think they stopped selling them in mid September.

I got mine October 8th thru tmobiles Preorders of the Gen 2. They sold them for a day before recalling it again. This is what my EIP menu shows.
wait a min, can i unlock mine? or is it only tmobile?
Probably only T-Mobile Owen. But you can try!
I can tell you from personal experience that it is entirely possible for the full remaining value of the phone to show up on your bill. Hope it doesn't happen to you.
