CM 10 - JellyBean Testing Releases

unofficial CM10 JELLYBEAN TESTING IS HERE:
Hey guy's I have been compiled CM10 and AOSP JellyBean roms for the past few days and testing then them out.
This forum is for CyanogenMod 10 and JellyBean work. I will be posting all of my CM10 work here and I will also start a new forum for JellyBean work as well.

By the Way Just Incase If You Didn't Know I DID NOT DEVELOP CYANOGENMOD. I'M JUST COMPILING IT AND TRYING TO MAKE CURRENT TEST BUILDS MORE STABLE.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOTE AN OFFICIAL CM10 BUILD AS IT HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED AND THESE BUILDS DO NOT REFELT THE CURRENT STATE OF CM10. THESE BUILDS HAVE BEEN COMPILE FROM CYANOGENMODS GITHUB JELLYBEAN GITHUB AND THINGS HAVE STILL NOT BEEN COMMITTED. I AM IN NO WAY RELATED TO CYANOGENMOD I JUST LIKE TO HELP OUT FOR OUR COMMUNITY AND DO THE BEST POSSIBLE FOR DEVS IN THE SGSIII COMMUNITY. I WILL BE SUBMITTING PATCHES WHEN AVAILABLE TO GERRIT.
Since this is the first build I have released there are some major bugs in it.
DG-CM10TEST-717.3 RELEASE CHANGELOG:
The phone works.
Data does work.
Camera however may quit.
Audio is works.
Bluetooth and Wifi works.
Settings fixed.
Device will no longer hot reboot
No more screen lag
Red around screen is sometimes present at start up.
MTP USB To computer has issues
Build is still buggy and but could be used at this point as a daily driver though I don't recommend at just yet.
Google Now works Including Voice Search as I know In my Past Build Voice Search Did Not Work.
It is rooted and buttery smooth.
Camera Works, there is an issue with Gallery I will update it with the regular compiled gallery instead GoogleGallery to fix in the next build.
External SD Card access work
Basically everything is working at this point just needs a little bit of fixes.
Lockscreen Settings built into settings
System Settings in Settings (but not yet integrated)
Profiles Integrated into Settings
Performance Settings Integrated
Quiet Hours!
This build also includes all Gapps. Be aware Google Text To Speech will quit at Setup just press okay and proceed this is necessary for Voice Search.
So enjoy testing this out for now and it's only going to get better in the next few days and weeks as I can improve the stability.
Also please remember to check out my AOSP version that will be released shortly.

kernel is 3.0.8 cyanogenmod.

Running really well for now

Looks like I used my upgrade just in time. I might go back and get a red gs3 but jelly bean is so smooth I can't wait.

I will fix any camera issues. It should not quit but I can see where it might and it's a small fix. I'll get on it. I'm working on a new build right now with a ton of fixes to make this more of a stable build because this is just for testing right now but I know we want a daily driver. I'm currently trying to fix the errors I've come across.
Should be soon and I'll have a new build. But I'll try and do nightlies.

Which rom?

Hello all! I have the ATT variant of the Note II and I'm having trouble finding a rom that is like stock android but can use the s-pen. I'm not a fan of Touch Wiz. Can anyone help me out? I have also looked around and check some of them out before any tells me to go some reading...I'm not a rookie at this...I just want a straightforward answer lol. Thank you!

This belong in the Q&A section.......plus I believe the spen is tied down to touchwiz framework pretty much.
Edit: guess im wrong. Never used an aosp rom on my N2. Thx for clarifying CD

After trying every rom and looking for the same thing you are, the rom you want is jellybam. Try it I think u will like it.

I'll say this I've tried many. And I always come back here. But I've always been a fan of darker themed Rom's which is better on battery life. IMO And the Oled loves to run black background's.
But I'll give this Rom a try on your to do list!

Maybe I'm not understanding the question, but can't you just flash a stock-based rom and use another launcher if you don't like TW?

I'm running CleanRom ACE right now, I"m still on the fence about it, it does have some minus bugs.

Really, no one can give you a straightforward answer without knowing what it is about the S Pen you want to keep. The air view and the like? If so, JediROM has those TouchWiz features as I recall. Otherwise, just about any ROM for the SGN2 will work.

Wow that is a badass ROM, I am using right now CleanROM, I have been rooted for about 7 days and its my first time, I might give this a shot soon, that just looks too nice.

Trust me it is very nice. Your phone will love it! Especially with all the Inverted Apps! And another side note. We have a fully functional GOOGLE WALLET. But there's not enough I can say about this excellent master piece.

NFC Issue
I've rooted my GNII, I'm still with the stock ROM, and have GoogleWallet. I have an NFC that happens every so often. Mainly when I run my camera app, music player app, and GooglePlay. My phone will freeze for about 5 secs then a window pops up saying "unfortunately, NFC service has stopped". I have tried multiple "NFC Fixes" by flashing them in CWM and manually moving the files in Root Explorer with no success. GW works fine along with everything else. It's just horribly irritating. If I flash JellyThunder, will this alleviate the problem?

And I'm wondering what caused your problem in the first place. I bet it's how you got Google Wallet working on your stock firmware. Because I seen something b4, about changing/fixing your nfc file.:what: In order to get wallet working! So I didn't try it. And when Jelly Thunder came out and said Google Wallet worth no problems. I was very excited, with everyone eke that wanted it.
So all that being said: I WILL SAY THAT I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES WYETH THIS ROM WHAT SO EVER!
So I would try to do a clean wipe of your system. Then install the Rom and give it a few days to c how it quirks out for you. OR you can just wait for the NEW RELEASE COMING SOON! !:thumbup:

I do -not- own this device so please be patient. This was not pretested in any way this time, so please report back promptly about any serious issues so I can try to get them resolved and so other users don't have to suffer the same fate.
Consider this experimental, not sure if it is daily driver suitable yet but coming along nicely.

Awesome potential. Ran smooth for about an hour. System UI kept closing. Couldn't get log cat. Love the endless possibilities for customization and performance enhancements. Great work! :thumbup:

Currently running this rom MMS, SMS, phone, and WiFi work. Have not tested Bluetooth yet or GPS. Running very smoothly right now.
After changing some of the settings I had system ui force closes but then I changed a few things back and it stopped not sure which setting caused that or if it was a combination of settings together. Anyways this is a great rom

As a builder of this ROM for the fascinate it is true this happens what setting caused it lol same answer i have no idea wiped dalvik and rebooted and it was gone but then as soon as i snoop around it came back. Good thing is new build with new sidebar and ribbons hasnt gave me any trouble Effsi will get to im sure of it .

Assuming the maintainers don't make anything unbuildable I plan on updating this on the weekend
Ps : there's already been two builds. I update the date in the op for each release.

sure next round of builds I'll try doing a plain N S.

Link to the gapps is straight nonexistant. It brings me to about:blank, should I use the regular 4.2.2 gapps or is there a specialized package I need?

I just flashed this ROM today and i have to say it's very, very nice. It's pretty smooth and i love all of its features (especially the hardware tweaks)! So, great job!

Add the non 4G variant to the goo.im page

as the building being done for my device is now taken over by Unjustified, I will no longer be providing updates to this rom in here of the non 4g section. hopefully the devs who build for my device will also do builds for both crespo devices.
the most recent updates are pretty damn good on this rom so hopefully you guys will get another build soon.
there's a different rom that could use some testing up on goo for you guys to try out if you'd like. for this and the non 4g variant

i have not installed xuimod yet because i read it wasn't fully compatible with touchwiz lollipop, some people reported random bootloops when rebooting their device.Are these notifications working on TW Lollipop? I'm running Rapture 3.1. Thanks in advance!!!!!!

*I'll be making an update in a little bit to upload Viper4Android, all you will need to do is flash it, IT WILL NOT WIPE ANY DATA*

One thing I've noticed about roms that incorporate the Sense Launcher...you can't access the htc servers to change your theme with it.

Not as far as I know, it would be possible if you'd like to help me port it I'll invest some time into porting it

Running very smooth. Nice job! Nice to be able to switch between launchers.
As an additional incentive to use SuperSU 2.67, there is a thread about getting Android Pay to work while rooted:

Not sure if it is actually working, I won't know until I make a purchase, but it looks promising.

Android 5.1.1 and is only compatible with the SM-G920P
