So I was trying to install TWRP on my freshly rooted V500 5.0 korean kdz, followed the steps exactly and I tried to reboot to recovery and got the
Secure booting Error!
Cause: boot certification verify
Reading through a few other threads, I tried going into download mode and upgrade recovery through the LG mobile support tool, but that says no items to upgrade. Now, my tablet will not boot up past the error screen and I'm having no luck finding any way to get it booting. Any ideas? Thank you in advance for any help!!
EDIT: KDZ back to 10a
Same here!

Cause: Device Unlock, so Boot Success!"
I Have made un backcup early on my sd card before this happens but i can get it running since i get after the same message after i run it from recovery.
i have only the pad for 1 month and i don t seems to manage to get this thing running again.
Any suggestion please ?

You must go with your Tablet into the download mode and make a restore with the LG Mobile Tool on your Windows PC ,
You have a guide in a post by the section android development !

Hey there, im new in this rooting things and stuff and i want to install a room. So, I rooted my lg g3, and is working, but when im going to install recovery (twrp) or philz , I get the right IMG (bumped for lg g3 855) and when I run it at flashfy this error pops out "Secure Booting Error! Cause: Boot certification verify." The same happens if I do it trough TWRP mananger.
I downgraded the phone to my stock (that's what a guy at reddit told me to do because lollipop isnt alowed at twrp he said) so I followed the tutorial and it went back to my stock (Lollipop 5.0)
Tryied all over again twrp and philz. Both didn't work and the same error pops out.
Help pleeeeeease i don't know what to do
And sorry about my english, isn't my native language.
Thanks

Downgrading isn't a good idea btw. Upgrading is another thing but downgrading can give you results like this.
Are you able to go into the recovery mode? You could try a hardware reset from there.
.
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA Labs
Thanks for replying.
Yes I can get into the standard LG recovery mode but when I choose to do a factory reset it shows me the same error message (Secure boot Error 1003) and reboot again.
My lg transpyre does the same thing. When you're in factory recovery does it say modified at top left corner? Mine does and when I select any option it just freezes on that screen saying secure boot error code1003 top left corner
I recently had my G3's motherboard replaced. I'm using G3 D855 32GB with Android 5.0 software version V20n.
I had troubles rooting my device with these methods:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3049772
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-lg-firmwares-kitkat-lollipop-t3056951
Though after few more tries and research I came across this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3129197 and successfully rooted my device (checked with Root Checker app).
Now i'm having difficulties flashing TWRP. I tried flashing using the official app TWRP manager with no luck, nor through flashify. For some reason with the Autorec app, the flash recovery button is doing nothing.
While flashing with flashify and TWRP manager I get this message when phone is booting: "Secure Booting Error! Cause: boot certification verify" at the left top of the screen (when LG logo appears).
I believe my software version (V20n) has something to do with it, because that's the cause for the rooting issues.
I would really appreciate any help, I'm dealing with it for few days now.
By the way, I had the same problem before and tried flashing KDZ, ending up with a fully bricked device (that's why I got my device's motherboard replaced) so please try to avoid solutions including this method.
Thanks!
I have exactly the same problem
OK I solved this issue
you have to root&flash recovery in one operation.

Hello!
I'm quite new to the android rooting scene, so I encountered this problem on my LG G Pad 8.3 (v500)
I had installed Lineage OS with android 7 (can't remember exact version) and tried to root the device
I tried flashing SuperSU.zip with TWRP, but it failed, and now, when I boot, it shows me this:
--------------------------------
Secure booting Error!
Cause : boot certification verify
--------------------------------

I tried getting into download mode, recovery mode, adb, flashing stock rom, but none worked. They all lead to the same error. Best result I could get was with download mode: the lg logo for a few secs, and then a black screen
Is there anything I can do to unbrick my device?
we are two with the same problem
