hello.....i had rooted my canvas 4 and installed cwm recovery and a cyanogen 11 rom. after sometime i wanted to change my rom so i installed another rom. during the installation it said that root access was needed; i selected yes....from then my phone would not boot. i tried to boot into recovery but my phone would not. i had created a backup of my custom rom..but without booting into recovery i cant access it..any way to fix this?????? please help!!!!!:crying::crying:

i did try out..bt scatter file is not being loaded!!
Please try Pranjal's rom and sptools method and report.

general forum mei, wiko stock rom hai.
isme unzip karke, chalna hei.
give you 4gb internel memary.

Because I want to get the cwm recovery into my phone so I flash it through its recovery img through an app called recovery tools but afterwards flashing my phone isn't booting in recovery mode, i have also tried mobiuncle app to flash the cwm recovery but not successful… help me.
My device is xolo Q1000 when trying to boot in recovery mode it stuck in its booting logo

Use proper Recovery image.It will work.we all are using it....

I've tried using that recovery and installed it with uncle mobile app but it didn't work.
Is there another method of installing recovery on phone?

Thanks so much for this - I have looked at the how to install the rom but can i ask one question? I tried to install the custom recovery in TWRP which found the device but when installing it ran the TWRP 2.6 and not 2.7.0.1 and when i tried to reboot in recovery i got a bootloop so had to reflash the stock rom. I am not sure if this caused the bootloop but because I dont want to make the same mistake again so can you step me through how to get the recovery ready prior to Intalling the rom in twrp??
first you must be on the 4.4.2 bootloader to flash this rom (flash P605XXUCNE2 with odin) 2 :make a fullwipe 3: flash TWRP 2.7.0.1(LTE) with odin 4: flash xKat v3.1 .The end
hy guys im insall lolipop yasterday on my device then i want back to backup india or anther cm 11 but all recovery cant insall any rom and write (error executing updater binary in zip ) please any one help me thanks all

Are you using the recovery from the CM12 Lollipop thread? Try flashing a different recovery.

im try all recovery found in xda dev but no one can install another rom im tired about this proplem please solve my proplem you can upload any rom work and i can install it thanks
Do these… just install the CWM recovery… ..then find the backup on some threads which is the same as your phone variant then restore it..

Did you factory restore / Wipe data/cache
before restoring?
-If you have not I recommend doing so now.
-Now try flashing a different recovery in Fastboot USB mode; such as Philz CWM.
-Then try to install CM11.
-Now put your backup back where it needs to be:
Philz CWM: /data/media/0/clockworkmod/backup
Original CWM 6.0.5.1: /data/media/clockworkmod/backup/
If that didnt work then try from step one with factory restore in recovery mode again but now instead of flashing any recovery flash the one specifically from the CM11 Official thread then continue with your restore.
This is because it is different from the one in the actual CWM 6.0.4.8 thread.
The one from CM11 official thread is 6.0.5.1 and fixes the black recovery screen issue people have when using the one from the 6.0.4.8 thread or when flashing Philz / TWRP for the first time.
After flashing the one from CM11 Official it (allows?) the device to flash other recoveries properly.

Redmi 1s.. v45 rooted.
I have TWRP 2.8.0 recovery. I can enter in the recovery. But...
1) can't install any zip(tried to install zip of stock recovery and cwm. It shows successful but again boots in twrp recovery)
2) can't backup(it shows backup is successful but no folder or file is created as a backup)
3)tried fixing root permission... But it takes forever to complete the process)
If this can be fixed plz help...... Other thing i did is...
I tried to flash rom in fastboot...
Using Miflash.... An error is displayed.... Can't flash the rom too.

There's some problem with the recovery i guess. Try using fastboot recovery to flash the latest version and an rom

Solved
I installed CWM recovery via fastboot. Now everything is fine.:angel:
But in TWRP I used to see "simulating actions" while performing backup or installing zips.
Didn't get that.
Cwm touch recovery
Everytime im tryig to backup rom , via cwm , it says cant mount backup path.. I installed stock recovery updating via updater then formatted my internal sd , flashed cwm again,, tried back up again didnt work.. Any help?
I had problems with Custom Roms in CWM but for me TWRP worked well. But you can try Philz recovery.

I had exactly the same problem.
It turned out that the problem is in the TWRP settings. Uncheck the Simulate bla...bla...bla...
okay so im using cwm recovery and the bad thing about this is that every rom that i flash through this recovery bootloops after i reboot the phone so i neded help replacing the recovery and installing twrp in its place please someone help me and guide me to how to replace the recovery because currently im using miui v5 v35 and want to flash the syhost miui6 rom. Please guide me asap :good::good:
