Just wanting some opinions planning on buying this phone soon, good phone in general?? Should I go for the 16g version or is the 64g worth the extra. Can this phone be rooted or has it already. I've read conflicting information so just wanted to see if I could get some opinions. Thanks is advance for any help.
Get the 64gb, it can be rooted, customer recovery and xposed.

The 64gb version is worth the money. I bought it be and am glad I did. I can store so many movies on it.
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using XDA Free mobile app
The 64GB north american version in addition to more flash storage has 2GB more RAM for a total of 4GB and a faster 2.33GHz CPU, and it comes with the quick charger. That's for $100 more. Only if you have a very constrained budget consider the 16GB/2GB/1.8GHz

Onboard storage is irrelevant when you live in the cloud. Just like Google wants you to. I have 9GB free. Most of my space is taken up by backups and ROMs.

Same here. I dont miss sd card slot at all.
Except the cases whčn i need to film a lot (vacation).

I only miss the SD card because I have several Android devices and I'd like to be able to take one out and put it another one in for purposes such as music, etc.
32gb would have been nice so I could keep more than 2 roms backed up at once on my galaxy nexus plus allow for all my games, apps an music, 16 gb really doesn't go that far for me, I find myself uninstalling a lot of stuff an keeping apps an games backed up with titanium backup so I can easily get it back quickly if I need to so I have storage space.

Free "Thanks" I did not mean to thank you.
But anyway, I have like 10 back ups + music + HQ movies. I honestly don't see a difference in sells if Google were to add additional storage to this phone.

Maybe sales may even have gone done because the price would have to be a bit more.

I totally agree that I'd have liked to see a 32GB option and/or a slot for a microSDXC card, like the Galaxy SIII has. I don't want to depend on cloud storage for my music files. And I'd rather use my own music app rather than the Google Play music player. A 64GB microSDXC card in the GN would be perfect.
As it is, I bought a 64GB flash drive that I mount on my GN via USB OTG and Stickmount. Not ideal, but it works.

Would of?
What the hell does that mean?
Would've, while sounding like "would of" is in fact short for "would have"
Together the two words show timing and intent, but could be used apart:
I would buy.
I have bought.
But the same is not true of your use of the word "of."
I of bought.
Simple mistake based on tricks our ears play on us.
No offense intended.

Well states wise, how much they would have sold, if Google had a unified launch of launch product. as i remember the release date from Verizon was foggy at best. Then they offered no way buying in the stateside besides Ebay/Amazon, till whatever exclusivity deal expired with Verizon. Then Google finally offered directly and Sprint got the phone.
I could only imgine that this phone would have sold well, if it had any amount of marketing, and unified launch besides one carrier in the states

You really think it would have sold any more units with 32GB storage? I find that hard to believe. If you choose your phone based on 16GB vs 32GB storage, and are willing to give up having a Nexus because of it, you clearly don't get it. I still have yet to understand why anyone would need that much storage.
And MicroSD sucks. Partitions and UMS are just a pain in the ass. Don't expect Google to ever use them again in a Nexus device.
I was wondering if there is a way or is it possible to buy a 16 gb model of the note 2 and manually change the internal memory to a 32/64 gb. This is because they probably wont sell the 32/64gb models here in the Philippines. So I'm planning to buy the 16gb model and have it manually upgraded to the 32/64gb memory. Thanks.
what? sprint doesn't cover the Philippines. you want the international version
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
yup, I'm talking about the international version. Cuz I'm planning to use the note 2 on a trip this coming Nov. & I was wondering if there was a way to upgrade the internal memory like taking the galaxy apart and switching up the part that holds the 16gb memory and switch it up with the 32/64gb (I don't know how it works that's why I decided to ask in the forums).
I don't know, perhaps search YouTube for a tear apart or repair video. I know some phones in the past actually used micro sd cards for the internal memory. People could pry open the HTC windows 7 phones and put in a larger sd card inside.

Because you can't readily install apps on your external card anymore.
If no 32 or 64 internal coming which is upsetting knowing there are 64's in korea and uk I believe at least get going on the 128 micro sd already and a real hack to swap memory..
Newer apps as nd such will fill 16 (10gb) real quick so I dont see how they dont see the demand. It will only be $50 more to get 32gb phone.

Still 32 GB internal storage is a must, there are lots of limitations with sd card. Let them sell the 16 GB but we need the 32 GB option as well. I believe other US carriers are selling 32 GB so TMobile should be same.

Exactly, todays OS take up almost 8gb of int storage so if you get 16 to start you end up with only 8gb of usable int storage. Once you start getting down to the bottom your phone just stops working like it should, laggy as hell. Nothing beats internal storage, sd-cards won't download most of todays apps, not only that todays modern smartphone needs a minimum of 32 with sd-card, without sd-card a minimum should be 64gb of int storage. To add internal storage during construction costs pennies. Quit making the -pathetic 16gb models, they are just crap IMO.

Thank You, just made my day.. Dying to get my hands on one. Any info on how strong the radios are on the new HTC One ? I have the Moto X, Samsung Note 3 and don't hate the iPhone 5S, out of all the iphone has the strongest radio signal. I heard the HTC also has a strong cellular radio, my last HTC was the Nexus One, still have it with all the accessories. I wouldn't mind a modern day Nexus One with modern day specs and a 4.7 inch scdreen. It must have the track ball as well.
Thanks again.
Vinny
I have the 32GB T-Mobile version as well. It started out with around 24GBs. I haven't added a microSD card to it as yet though.

Hard for me to say definitively at this point but it seems comparable so far to the M7 as far as the radio, which I think was quite good, but I don't have don't have much experience with other phones to really compare.

From all the leaked videos I have seen of the T-Mobile version and all other T-Mobile devices before this one they do not come with earbuds.
Now my questions are software related.
Do we have...

FM radio?

At first I thought about the Gear Fit 2 to get at least $100 on Ebay because there are so many fake Memory cards on Ebay I doubt I'll get that much. Not sure, I guess the memory card and probably keep it. I currently have a 200gb Sandisk Ultra card but I guess the 256gb will be faster with obviously a few more GB of storage?

I was leaning towards the watch but I might just get the card and wait for the gear s3 to be announced. Plus the card should have better resale value.

Here in Canada it's the Gear Fit 2 or the Level Box Pro Bluetooth speaker. I know fitness wearables seem to drop in value fast on Kijiji and such so I'm not sure what I'll get.
