Tab S normals temperature - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, how are you? Well, I wonder if anyone else besides me note our Tab S slightly warm. For some time I have been checking the temperatures of the tablet and was surprised when I saw that reached 80-90 • C. My most frequent temperature is 55-70C. I particularly think that high, because in many comments here on the forum, members said high temperature to 55C. What do you think? It's a problem of my particular device or a failure to determine the exact temperature of the device bringing incorrect values? Someone else got a temperature above 70C? SM-T700.

normal battery temperature while charging

I recently started watching the battery temperature on my Verizon SMT5800 phone, and was surprised at how hot the battery got while charging. It has reported internal temperatures as high as 210 degrees Celsius (410 degrees Fahrenheit) while charging. Some documents that I have found on the Web suggest that this indicates that the battery is being overcharged. The battery becomes merely warm to the touch, which might mean that the internal temperature is not as high as reported, or might simply mean that it is well-insulated. What sort of battery temperatures are normal for Lithium Ion batteries?
mine just 35-45 degree celcius
mine htc p3600i
I suspect that the battery's internal sensor may be reporting a higher temperature than is actually present. I talked to Verizon tech support, and they told me to bring the phone by a Verizon store so that they can test the battery. I plan to do so.

The temperature as reported by you of 210 degrees centigrade would certainly melt your device down. The temperature you saw is full of flaw in the application, it can't be true anyway.
I have now tried two other batteries, with similar readings. While it is possible that all three batteries had faulty sensors, it seems more likely that the battery interface isn't standardized across manufacturers, and the data is being misinterpreted. The two applications that I have been using to retrieve the temperature, SBSH Facade and Accosto BLifePlug, are both general Smartphone applications, not HTC-specific.
My battery temp currently reads 3 degrees C. I quit really paying Arthur to it day one. It always reads slightly above freezing.
I don't find a need to check battery temperature. Moreover, phone/battery tend to become warmer when its charging.

I know, that can already melt metal right? 210 degree C?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA Premium App
I don't really check exact temperatures. If it feels unusually warm (pretty only if I'm tethering and charging simultaneously) I prop it up in front of my desk fan. Otherwise I don't really worry about it. Batteries are made to withstand a good amount above/below normal operating temperatures.
In my xperia mini pro, reaching around 31 º Celsius
I can't believe it,maybe there's something wrong with your battery!

So is mine! It has been like that since I started using custom roms (with no or hardly any overclocking). I think it was lower on stock. Which rom are you using?
It reaches about 30º on HTC desire.
But not on Sumsung moment using now.
I got the temp light only once when I first got the captivate. I was downloading a lot of you tube with a dead batt and charging

Unable to brighten due to temperature increase. Try again later.

Anyone else get the error message "Unable to brighten due to temperature increase. Try again later." yet? I've noticed it once while browsing on my phone and attempting to increase the phones brightness, at which point it maxed out at around 66% while displaying this error. The phone did not seem HOT in my hands, just warm. Was able to reproduce this issue by running the Antutu benchmarks multiple times and then changing brightness.
Am running the stock Rogers E971 ROM. There is no case currently surrounding the phone (although I can assume a case would just further this issue). A factory wipe did not make a difference.
Anyone else able to reproduce this?
The max level depends on the battery temperature.
When im outside, battery shows 32~36C and im able to set the maximum brightness level.
But for indoor use, cant go above 63%. Current temperature is 40C
I think it doesn't feels hot cause of the back cover glass.
Galaxy S3 feels much hotter.

you think that would be 'normal' behavior though? its not an issue I had with my Galaxy S2 and it seems like bad engineering / design if a device that is running at its intended clock speeds in a normal environment is heating up. I guess ill try calling up LG when I get some free time to see what they have to say about this.
I think 40C is a normal temp, so i guess the reason of limitation is the battery itself.
LG said Optimus G got next-gen Li-Pol battery or something like that. Probably it doesn't run good on high temperatures.
Nope, thats an issue but im not affected cause my default bright level is 40%
Solved!
From today we have a permanent working solution to the problem ! Tweakers and Optimizers released a free app called LGBrightnessPatcher https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...3NwYXRjaGVyIl0. that surely and permanently solves the issue.
Many thanks and respect to the developers

Heating issues

I just bought a Samsung yesterday. Not sure if I can tell if it's warm or hot, but it does give quite a lot of heat. Specifically where it say's Samsung next to the camera and spreads of a bit to the screen and the back. Is that where the Exynos Octa 5420 is located? Anyone mind posting screenshots of how hot their CPU gets? I'd appreciate it so I can compare it with the temperature I get; I'll post my results soon. According to some search results on google though, people some people get that warm feeling.
My Samsung travel adapter that came with the product also heats up, but again, I'm not sure how hot is actually normal. Just a FYI, doesn't burn my fingers or melt the device, just's a bit uncomfortable touching near the very top.

Exchange it. Mine doesn't get hot at all.
I just noticed mine was getting warm near the camera as well before I read this post. I was watching HD YouTube videos full screen though. It's back to normal now.
I exchanged it and it's been a couple of days already; seems like the issue is universal when playing games or having high CPU usage.
Yeah it's normal...it happens to mine as well. As long as the device isn't burning hot, the heatsink is doing it's job. This thing is powerful enough to replace laptops so heat is to be expected.
Anyone know an app that shows CPU temp in a widget? The only app I can find that shows actual CPU temp is Trickster Mod. All the other apps I tried just show battery temp.
I ran AnTuTu benchmark to where it was almost done - 87% after the 3d test - then I looked in Trickster and saw 56 degrees, quickly dropping to 42 deg. The battery started at 30 deg and reached 34.2 during the benchmark and didn't really drop down to 30 degrees after that.
I am a little surprised that there is no CPU temp apps on the market, with fancy graphs and stuff. Come on, devs, we don't care about battery temp. Tap into that CPU sensor, dang it!
Not Hell Yet!

I was in my first meeting using my new Note 10.1 2014 edition and I noticed that it felt warm. I had the previous note 10.1 and never noticed it even getting warm. Is there an app that I use that will give me the temperature to post?
Doc
Same issue here from Spain. Its seems is for every Note.
Be careful, I know someone who broke his Note by playing like for 3 hours to Real Racing 3. The Note was extremly hot and it died. Model was a Black LTE Snapdragon.

Was that a Note 3 that he broke? I was unaware the LTE Note 10.1 (2014) was released yet.
I just got that Real Racing 3 game and was going to play it. I will check my CPU temps after playing for awhile, though it's a little inaccurate since the CPU probably drops a couple degrees in the amount of time it takes to switch to Trickster Mod to check the CPU temp. I wish the FPS Meter screen overlay could show temps, kind of like EVGA Precision does for PC users, or I wish there was a CPU temp graphing application, or any app that keeps a min & max of CPU temp. Unfortunately, there isn't jack out there for CPU temp, but there are tons of apps that do stuff with your BATTERY temp. Who cares about battery?
UPDATE: I'm seeing 69°C and 70°C when playing games like Kingdom Rush & Real Racing 3. A tad on the warm side, but acceptable for me. I do have a case on the tablet, so that might make a little difference. It drops to 50° after about 10 seconds, then eventually down to 39°.
Compared it to my Galaxy S4, but I don't have those games on my S4 so I opened GTA3 & Block Story and checked the temps and saw 62°C. The Note probably gets a little hotter, but this test wasn't that long so take it with a grain of salt.

[Q] T-mobile G3 Battery smells burnt at heavy use, CPU and battery Temp

Hi all, I've had the T-mobile LG for couple weeks now and the phone heats pretty bad although I've never got the high temperature warning yet. However, I'm a little bit concerned about the battery temp.
My battery temp has gott up to 42C/108F when gaming ( I was playing Golf Star to be specific) and even up to 45C/113F when I tested the phone with UHD video recording (the CPU temp got over 80C/176F during that video test). On the back of the battery there's little icon showing >40C/104F with a cross. I was wondering if it's dangerous if the battery got over that temperature when the phone is being used?
Moreover, the battery even has some sort of burning smell when its temp over >38C/100F now. Is that something I should concern about? It smells fine when its temp is around 35C/95F or lower.
The battery temp while charging seems fine when it's only around 33C/91F. The CPU usually at 45-50C/113-122F when charging.
Ambient temp has been around 40F-50F when I notice the issues above fyi.
One more thing I'm concerned about is the CPU always gets over 70C/158F or even 80C/176F every time when it starts up.
I was also wondering if I should be concerned with those issues and whether your guys experience similar issues. My phone was running with everything STOCK when the above info is recorded
Thanks in advance for your inputs, guys.

Is my CPU temperature normal for a G3 ?

Hello. I recently bought a LG G3 and noticed that CPU overheats a lot (measured with "Cpu Temperature" app and "CPUZ"). At rest it varies from 45°C - 50°C ; When I constantly switch between browsing, Facebook, Messenger and so it varies from 60°C - °68°C, rarely reaching to 70°C. I still haven't tried gaming though.
From what I've heard and read on the internet overheating is a common issue for G3. But, the thing is I have also read on forums about people which claim they get noticeably lower temperatures on their G3s, like 35°C - 50°C during usual browsing and stuff. What do you guys think? What about your G3s? I would be very grateful for any tips or suggestions.
