Im soft bricked I guess. I can still get into stock recovery and fastboot. I did the cwm recovery and accept method I had cm 12 and gapps on ext sd card I did a backup of stock but wiped data and cache and flashed rom and accidently hit fix root instead of no in recovery because I wasn't rooted. Everytime I turn on phone goes to dead robot. I tried to recover in stock recovery but I think since I did a backup and wiped in cwm i cant. Will I be able to recover from flashing firmware and adb. Will I be able to still charge my phone or keep it off until im ready to flash firmware? Need help

Hi i have the htc desire i have been using different roms and trying the hd roms out lately, the last rom i used was the z port from from roblix i used the data 2 sd version.
i decided i didnt want the data2sd and i wanted to go back to the a2sd like i had been used to so i used gparted to remove all the partitions from my sd card and repartitioned it to the correct thing to use a2sd.......
i went into recovery and wiped all the things from the phone getting ready to flash but after i wiped the phone rebooted.....well it wouldnt
from that point on the phone will not boot normally because i removed the things with wiping all data....and it will not go into recovery either i had amon ra recovery image flashed to my phone.....which all worked hundreds of times before....
all i can do now is get to hboot menu or fastboot menu if i select recovery from there the phone goes off and comes to the first screen where it hangs for ever.
please advise what i can do to fix my phone to get recovery back again
If your S-Off you can flash a recovery again through fastboot. Erm... I can't remember how to do it if your not so you will have to search the forums for the solution or Google it. If you wanted to, you could use an RUU (and a Goldcard if necessary to bypass the verification) but you would have to root again.
i have tried to flash recovery-RA-desire-v2.0.0.img via fastboot and it said it flashed ok but it wont boot to recovery still ..... the phone reboots and just sticks on the first boot screen and does nothing else at all
any other ideas
Try CWM 2.5.0.7? Install an RUU to reset it back then just root it again?
Last night I decided to use the encrypt phone feature of the latest CyanogenMod 10.2 nightly. It said it would take an hour or more so I left my phone plugged in and went to bed. I wake up and it says encryption unsucessfull. So I reboot into TWRP recovery and I start getting issues such as I/O errors and it can't open my data partition either. I even upgraded to the latest TWRP and still no go. How can I get this fixed????
I got it fixed. I flashed the stock rom through Odin. It still wouldn't boot but I was able to reformat my data partition with the official recovery. Once I did that I flashed TWRP again through Odin and from there I was able to restore from a backup.
Moral of the story: Don't encrypt your phone.
I'm a noob.
Operation aborted flashing ROM. I think I didn't have the right version of CWM (5.5.0.4). Anyway, I was an idiot and didn't have a backup, so if I restart my phone is hard-bricked correct?
Also AFAIK phones can't charge in recovery mode so I only have till the battery runs out (started on 50%).
I took out the SD Card, and I'm trying to put a working ROM on and install that so my phone doesn't brick, what ROM should I load up? any advice? A while ago I got help on the same issue, but since then the link is dead.
First take a deep breath and don't panic.
If you have wiped your previous Rom (i.e. formatted the /system partition) and now the new Rom won't flash then don't worry. The Phone will still charge.
True if you reboot, the phone will be stuck at Samsung logo. But if you turn it off completely, chances are, it will charge just fine. Now as to the Recovery, just boot into Download mode and Odin Flash correct recovery. If you want, you can put correct rom in your External sd and flash it too.
I was on PA 3.99 4.3.1 , and trying to go to stock Jellybean by flashing a zip in Clockwork mod recovery. It resulted in a bricked device that hangs up on the boot animation, but i can still access download mode.
From download mode i tried flashing another stock image through odin, but got an error and the flash failed.
I would really like to recover photos from this phone. What can i do to get it into booting condition to do so?
Its a bell version if it makes any different.
Also, is there a way to unbrick WITHOUT having to use a 16gb microSD card, because i dont have one available.
Your phone isn't bricked of it can get into download mode.
I suggest installing a custom recovery such as Philz Touch and them a custom ROM to at least get the phone to boot.
There is no stock ROM that can be flashed in cwm. You can install a stock ROM using Odin but that will wipe all user data.
The flash in Odin may have failed if you were trying to downgrade the bootloader.

If you've completely wiped your device then there will be no OS to boot to, hence the reboots back to TWRP. You'll need to connect your phone to a PC to transfer over a rom zip file and install, or via USB OTG if you have one. Last resort would be a full stock reinstall with the latest factory release and then get TWRP back again etc.
