I was wanting to know if there is a way to swap Operating systems. If so could someone instruct me on how to do so?
Try to search/look around before posting !

Well I was really just wanting to get rid of WP in general and run android instead but it appears that cannot be done.
Then you started in the wrong forum. This is Android as basic OS. So in general the conversion that would take place here is Android - WP and not WP - Android.
Look around in the WP M8 forum and see what that comes up with

I figured this would be the correct forum considering it's labeled "One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting" nothing states that it's android or Windows Phone. The fact that the topic involves both operating systems is why I posted here. Thank you for the clarification though.
There was a discussion about this before as well... No progress from there... Probably won't be happening

OK, I just made my first Android app and I was going to post a thread to get feedback. Since it's related to developing on the Android platform, my instinct is to put it in the Android Development forum. It seems, however, that the dev forum is strictly related to ROM's these days (some of which involve no actual dev work).
So, the question is... Dev or App forum?
Definitely put it in the Themes and App forum. If you put it in development, it will get moved

Already did
I just don't get why we call it Android Development. Why not call it what it is - Android ROMS, or maybe more appropriately - Android ROM Development.
I'm not a ROM developer, but I am an app developer... question for my fellow devs.
Android recently killed the use of MODIFY_PHONE_STATE for any third party app (only system apps can use it now)... which effectively kills the ITelephony.aidl hack many of us have been using.
I opened an enhancement request to restore functionality for 2.3.x and bring a better solution to the table for Android 2.3+ but Android just closed it with a "Working As Designed" tag.
Any thoughts on where to go next? It seems they aren't even willing to discuss alternative solutions.
Thread moved to Q&A.

I fail to understand why. This is a developer specific question, and will only confuse most folks (non-developers) who read the Q&A section.
Hello,
I am a dev working on a popular Android app line and have seen quite a few posts here by user seeking support or sharing experience. While we do have a ticket system, a dedicated Android support team and a much less popular forum, I find most problems user experience are first report here, and many posts give valuable insights on how we can further improve our products.
So I am asking the possibility of opening a forum for a specific app or a line of apps, either with or without the official support.
NOTE: This is just an idea I come across reading posts here, and does not represent the stance of the company.
There already is a forum for that... go to android development and hacking, and then android apps... there is the forum dedicated to apps...... and in case you can't find it here's the link... http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=530

err, a forum for "Applications and games created by xda-developers users for use on Android. No commercial apps/games allowed." seems not what I am asking for.
if its a paid app then xda too got dedicated forum for paid apps.

Thread closed since the OP already got his answer.
Do you guys think itll be possible to dual boot our phones? Maybe take WP 8.1 for a spin?
Thoughts?
Thanks
Really need to make another thread about this !!!
Use the search function or simply scroll through the forum. There are already threads that cover this topic....many are already closed and the main discussion thread is easy to find...same as the bounty thread !
Try this thread for discussion.

Thread closed. The new Windows phone for M8 area is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m8-windows
This site when I downloaded Windows Mobile ROMs for friends was well structured and organized.
Now its a ****ing mess. Too many sections and too many sections inside sections inside subsections.
The visiting audience for this site has nothing to do with the original purpose of the site now. Times change and the site needs to evolve.
First, all "old" devices/discussions/etc. need to be in a archive section (maybe even read only). If people want older information, they can search in there. Hell maybe even a "http://archive.xda-developers.com" site is neccesary.
XDA born projects (such as Xposed) should, with time, be given their own section as well.
Next, the general sections need to be cleaned up. They (Android, iPhone, Windows Phone) should have a General, Apps, Q&A, OS tweaking and thats about it. Also a "Classic section" might be in order: Blackberry and other OS (not based on Android) should be there as well
After that, all devices, with a 1 user base to a 10000000000000000000000 user base should have their own section. Users should be able to generate that section against a bot, or, XDA should read off some site (gsmarena) and generate a section off that when a phone is added. Later, XDA can decide to hide or read only that section (example, something gsmarena does a lot is if they hear a rumor, they add it like the Galaxy S9 is already on there problably. That section should be read only and/or hidden)
The site has become a horrible unorganized bloated mess and needs to be cleaned up.

This is already implemented. All older forums go into an archived section, but still accessible for users.

Already in place, have a look here: XDA Community Apps Popular sections like xposed have their own development section., Even Popular ROMS can have their own forum Custom ROM Central

We dont currently support iphone, but do have general places already:
Android General
Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Android Software and Hacking General
Windows 10 Mobile
Just to name a few examples.
Considering we are the number one site for all things android, with a 6 million user base. We are setup very well. We do have a team of moderators to run the site, but we like users to help out and report things that are breaking our forum rules, or threads that are not in the correct sections, eg: questions not being put into Q&A forums.
