Nexus 5 theme won't install - Paranoid Android Q&A

Hey,
Recently I've tried to install some themes from Play Market but it seems that it can't install the themes after downloading them, I keep getting an "(theme name) failed to install".
I'm using PA 5.1 and latest Franco kernel. Anybody know why it can't install themes?

It's the kernel

Ok thanks

Old themes to new roms

I have a few older cynogen themes that wont flash in. I get a Google script error and it says to edify the files. I'm still a newb and was looking for a little help on how to do it. Anyone know? I'm running the latest cm7 but love the theme and lock rings. Any advice?

(request) messaging with advanced settings

Hi, I'm using androidme lite aosp ROM and would like to use the messaging .apk like the one found in codenames ROM (I mainly want the pop up notification option). I used root explorer and tried overwriting the .apk but I kept getting FC. Can someone maybe make a flash able .zip that would work?
Thanks in advance.
Bump but for stock?

Ya, for stock. Its basically a stripped stock ROM.
I made this one for bamf ROM, it should work with any jb ROM but make a backup first just in case

[Q] Instagram Compatability

I freshly installed CM10 again after I used for quite a while. When I was re-installing my apps, it said Instagram version 3.4.0 is not compatible with our Wonders. Why is that? Thanks
Try installing it from the market, I just checked and it is compatible. What Rom did you come from? If it is a Rom from another android version then restoring won't go well for all apps

Did not work for me. Using AOSP 4.3. Flashed and DSP manager never showed up in app drawer.
Installed on a stock rom, Android 4.3. In the application list, DSP manager has not appeared. In the setting of Google music player is not.

I had to manually move all of the files to the correct place, for this to work. I think your script is missing a lot of stuff.
Also move by manually and all works.

How to update (pacman)

Hi there
A beginner question.. I guess there will be kitkat versions of pacman sooner or later and I wondered how the best way to upgrade would work.
There are already packages for the new apps, I assume this is the same as the "gapps" package I installed when installing pacman.
- is it possible to install the new gapps now already?
- how to upgrade pacman once it's there and does this reset my settings or is there a better process?
Thanks a lot, I'm a bit confused

You can't install the new gapps yet because we don't have 4.4 update yet. As for updating pacrom, you can read op in the pacrom thread.
