Good! :good:

Did'nt worked here, I put the extracted folder in the system apps, reboot and nothing... Any ideas? I set the permissions to rw-r--r-- only in the folder, not in the apk, trying again.
Best greetings

Didn't worked for me so i downloaded the latest version from apkmirror and pasted it in system/app without the folder and rebooted and it worked

[Q] CMP (Motorola Music App) in Barebones 1.3

I like the Motorola Music Player, its very simple and clean. I tried to install the apk, rename the .apk to .zip and install via recovery, and to copy the apk (there's a post from fritolay saying to do that) to /system/app, without success. Any ideas how to install this app?
Put the APK on to the Sd card.
Enable unknown sources in setting / applications
Use a file manager to locate the apk and run it.
it will install to the phone an then it should work.
This apk doesn't install via file manager, i have tried this before. I have seen in another post that needs to be copied to /system/app, but i haven't figured what to do next.
SOLVED! Copied the apk to /system/app and set the permission user read/write group and other read.

Privacy Guard Notifications

I am on CM11 nightlies for SGS4 mini. Can you disable Privacy Guard notifications as the icon/notification is very annoying and persistent. It only goes if phone is rebooted. Will be back again if app with revoked permissions is launched again. Thanks.
Hi not sure if you solved this, here is solution that worked for me:
1. Copy framework-res.apk from system/framework folder (keep a backup for any case).
2. Open apk with Zarchiver (pick option View), and look for icon stat_notify_privacy_guard.png.
3. Delete icon, and let Zarchiver to save the file.
4. Overwrite the original framework-res file, and correct permissions (I use Aroma Explorer in revovery for all sensitive file ops).
Cheers

[GUIDE] How to install apps as system apps without ForceClose!

You need to be rooted and i recommend use root explorer
1) First guys make sure you have the apk or else pull it from /Root/Data/App
2) Copy that apk to your SD card and install it as a normal user app (Like a usual APK)
3) Go to /Root/Data/Data
4) Find the app then go to it and open the folder (eg. com.android.camera - Camera)
5) Go to file called "lib" in the folder (com.android.camera)
6) You may find one or multiple files in it. (eg. abcd.so ) copy it or them to your SD card
7) Uninstall the app and reboot the device
8) Take the apk from SD card and copy the apk to /Root/System
9) Select the file and change the permissions of the apk under select permissions
10) Tick all the boxes under read and only the first one under write and click ok
11) It should look like rw-r--r--
12) Then cut the Apk and pate it to /Root/System/app
13) Copy the the Lib named like. (Eg - abcd.so) to /Root/System and change the permission like you did with earlier apk but cut (Eg. abcd.so) it and paste it to /Root/System/lib
And reboot and enjoy

[APP Request] Stock S6 video player

Hi there,
I accidentally deleted the video stock app from my phone after rooting and did not have a back up of it. Now when i play recorded videos from the gallery, I don't have a player to play it!
Can anyone please give me a link to the stock APK?
Thank you! Much appreciated!

Here you go..
Hi thank you. I tried to install it, with a root Explorer too... Thing is after doing so it doesn't work probably because I didn't do it correctly.
Could someone tell me how to install it correctly?
Been a year since I've been into android hacking stuff ^. ^
Extract the folder and place into your /system/priv-app folder and set the correct permissions and reboot. You can check the right permissions by looking at the permissions of other folders and files in /system/priv-app directory.

Is the arm64 folder supposed to be placed somewhere different or in the priv-app folder with the apk?
Because I put everything where it was supposed to be and set the permissions correctly for the folder and apk and still when I restart "unfortunately video has stopped working

[Watch dogs boot animation][New version][All devices]

New Watch dogs Boot animation
For Roms with CM theming
1.Download the apk from the link
2.Install that app
3.Go to settings>themes>boot animation>select watchdogs boot animation and apply
4.Reboot and enjoy
For Roms without CM theming[Root Needed]
1) Download the Apo from the link.
2) Download any root explorer of your choice.( I prefer Es file explorer)
3) Navigate to the downloaded apk and long press it.
4) Under the 3 dot menu select extract to and extract the apk.
5) Now you will find the bootanimatio.zip file in assets folder.
6) Now go to the root folder and navigate through system>media. Once there locate your current bootanimation.zip file
7) Long-press your current bootanimation.zip file, and click copy, as we'll want to have a backup just in case. Paste it wherever convenient for you OR simply change the extension from .zip to .bak
8) Once your new bootanimation.zip has been selected for moving, navigate back to system > media and paste it there. You'll have to overwrite your current animation zip, but that's fine since you have a backup in case something goes wrong. Go for it.
9) For many of you, the previous step will be the last step. But, if for any reason you're still stuck with you old animation, you can try aligning the permissions of your newly-copied bootanimation.zip file with the permissions in the system/media folder. In our case, those were rw-r-r. Just long-press your new bootanimation.zip file and click Permissions and change them until they fit.
10)Reboot and enjoy.:good:

Unfortunately that won't help.
you have to only replace the bootanimation.zip using root browser.
Thanks,
