What would be the best way to reset this thing to be ready to send back? Would I need to KDZ it or just use the superuser root removal process? Thanks in advance.
I think you to KDZ to remove traces of root.

My issue was with my ear speaker crackling, call verizon and they wanted me to go into safe mode and try a few things which did not help. I have a replacement one coming Thursday.

I see what you mean. In other words its not KitKat. But could this update be the first step in getting KitKat soon? Whan do you think tmo will release it?

The new NC2 firmware might be a reaction to solve this vulnerability. If we saw this little fella, then T-mobile is still interested in keeping our phone updated. Last month Samsung USA talked about their KitKat plans in the USA which includes the GS3. So it could go either way since it depends on the carrier (T-mobile in our case) approving the update. I read the international GS3 KitKat rollout starting between April-May in a leak released days ago, so we'll have to keep our eyes peeled.

Appreciate the heads up. I'm not rooted yet. But I'm thinking about rooting with root66. Do you think that if I update to this update now that I can still root my phone later with root66 without any issues?

Yes. You can use either that or the CF-AutoRoot on step #2 here.

I don't suggest CWM, it once deleted my internal SD without me touching anything and borked the internal clock back to 1970. I replied to your post here.
I am thinking of rooting My G3 but i just want to make sure that if i unroot and want to get a replacement device from verizon that they would have no way of knowing the device was rooted.
I returned mine after rooting it. Just flash it to stock.

I dont need to return mine but if i do, what processes did you use (over the phone or in store). Also have you already gotten the replacement device (I ask this only to make sure that by just flashing stock they accepted the phone. Lastly and most importantly, are you using a verizon G3.
Thanks

I suggest you study it before attempting this as you really want to know what your doing. I downloaded all the files in the post and the TOT file labeled verizon.
I am looking for the best method to root my VZW Note 4 (with the latest update) without tripping knoxx. If need be i will and return it for the insurance, but i prefer not to go through that hassle. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

When updating to a big android update (Lollipop - Marshmallow) it's always best to do a factory reset afterwards because bugs come up just from updating.
If you have any issues after the factory reset then I'd be worried.
Any way to root the D850 and new Att Marshmallow?

I would LOVE to know this as well. I am reading conflicting things. I am hesitant to update since I may not be able to obtain root....Anyone have a surefire, permanent root solution for the D850 on 6.0?
You can root it using kingroot apk. Then flash twrp

That would be a different process than I did before, do you where I can find correct, detailed info on this?
Also is KingRoot safe? I haven't done much research into that, but for some reason I vaguely remember seeing something about that apk. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Also is this permanent? I read a kingroot method that would be cleared after reboot.

With only one reply (question) to this method, I am curious if anyone else that has tried this on an D850 can post their experience. I don't want to end up with a brick. HA!

But for magisk, you'll need a custom recovery which I don't seem to find and I don't know if it has an unlockable bootloader

Good day, friends!
Please, help!
I received a usb-ser brick on my Huawei nova 2s phone after updating to test android 9, the phone didn’t turn on at all!
I took a kind person to help, it turned out to lift the body, but later, as it turned out, the phone does not see the network in auto mode, and only 4g in manual mode, but cannot register the network. Wiped nv!
Required dams Modemnvn_bakup, Modemnvm_factory, Modemnvm_system, etc.в img from another work phone
I want to ask you for help, I need these files
If you can help, I beg you!
Dams can be made by the program Partitions Backup & Restore
It is necessary to have a root.
