Hello....Am looking for offline tv control app for my samsung s4 mini..i tried some app from google play store...but most of all need internet connection..(in built app which is "watchOn" is good but it also need internet connectivity)..

Why it is so difficult to get this one.
I have it preinstalled on my S3.
But I want to install it on my galaxy nexus (samsung again).
It isn't on google play, isn't even on samsungapps
That's when I search with both the S3 and the Nexus.
So far seems it only comes pre-installed.
There is one .apk floating around but it's for Allshare playER not Allshare Play, which is what i need.

Afaik, allshare play is an app developed by and cooked in Samsung's ROMs. Vanilla Android doesn't come with it. There are plenty of alternatives in the play store though.

I haven't found an alternative that will let me stream or sync media between devices and allow me on phone 1 to stream something from the pc to phone 2.
But will be glad if there is something like that.
I'm no expert on this, but if an app sets your gnex up as an UPnP media server you're done right? Except maybe for the stream from device 1 via pc to device 2 feature. Tried BubbleUPnP?

But none of these lets a user without any hassle watch movies/pictures/stream music from f.ex my home pc when I am at work,
Allshare play (http://www.allshareplay.com) lets med do excactely that.
Install Allshare on computer, tell it what folders to share and when I am traveling I click allshare and it just works.
I use bubbleupnp at home, but Allshare is so easy.
I read somewhere that there was a way to access more controls on the Samsung Watchon app that comes bundled with our tablet but have not found a way to access them if they this. Using watch on in conjunction with the peel remote app I can accomplish everything but it would be nice to have it all in one app... does anyone know if these advanced controls exist or if there is a better way to do things without 2 apps?

Does anyone know of I am missing something or if there are any good apps our there for it?
I have a panasonic TV, Yamaha receiver amp and sky. .. I was hoping for a universal type remote app?!

i have been using Smart IR Remote and works great but if you search Play for IR Remotes you will find a lot of them now.

Should have the app WatchOn installed. Check for that app.

Peel remote control came with mine
LoL just checked it again, on the Samsung Tab PRO web page (Belgium version) of the there is no mention at all about the IR... xD
I was pretty surprised when I saw the IR led on top of my 10.1
Anyway there is no app included on mine, So I'm gonna test some apps to see how it works

I was surprised as well when I found the IR emitter. Even weirder that there is no app provided in the Dutch version....which is probably just the generic EU version.
Smart IR Remote works nicely for me, I'm sticking with this
And good range as well.
i have the UK version, i had a look at that smart remote, its a fiver though and I just thought that it should come with one rather than having to pay!
Can I get hold of the solution from one of the other country versions from anywhere?

conan1600 mentioned that his came with Peel Smart Remote.
You can download that for free from the Google play store.
and there are many others for free in the Google play store.
Same here, Smart Remote is well worth the money. The dev was really helpful in getting all my AV equipment working with the app.

You can also download watchon from samsung apps. I did and it is actually a very nice app and remote control

Is anyone willing to pull the watchespn apk from your firetv? I have a nexus player and would like to try and get the app to work.
The app will not work unless you have amazon app store installed, so you will need to download and install the standard amazon app store and have it installed too.

Yes it does. Just about all cable channel apps will require a cable provider info. And even some OTA will ask for one too. Specially now that they are beginning to offer standalone subscriptions.

My son as an S7 stock and he has a remote app that can control my new Samsung Smart TV over WiFi but I can't seem to find it the play store or Galaxy Apps. The name shown is simply: "Remote". Anyone have any idea exactly what app this is and how to get it? I like the UI much better than anything else I've seen.
