[Q] Problem with headphone connector

When I connect headphones or a cable between headphone connector and a sound system it seems the phone don't recognize it. If I try to start the FM-radio I got a message telling "Headphone required To listen to FM radio you must plug in headphones to the headphone jack."
If I start webradio or something else that plays music I get the sound from the built in speaker instead of the connected item.
If I restart the phone it works again but onlt for some time(a few hours) and I don't know what or when it fails again.
It feels like a software problem but I'm not sure at all.
Anyone that have a clue what I can do to get rid of this most irritating fault?
(The phone is equipped with rooted Froyo 2.2.2 Swedish version)
I was listening to FM-radio when making a call. Radio was muted and after I hang up the headphone connector stopped working again.
So it seems I'm the first one with this problem. To bad...
The problem persist. Should I return this phone or do anyone have any idea what to do about it?
Every time I get a call the headphone connector got disabled and only a reboot enables it again.
I believe you should return it. Especially if it's on the original firmware. That way you'd know for sure that it cannot be your fault.
If you already flashed something, try a full reset flash again (maybe some other rom) and reset again.
This looks very much like a software problem to me.
Just my 2 cents...

Do anyone think that at factory reset could solve the problem?

[Q] Volume Spike

Hi, I've noticed something extremely odd. On CM10.2 and Slim 4.3, when beginning to play a song, the volume will spike (and blast my eardrums out) for about half a second, and then return to normal. This isn't an isolated incident with one music player because it has happened on 3 of the ones I've tried. I'm not sure if this is a 4.3 only bug, but it probably is seeing as though I've never had this problem on 4.2. It is also not a problem with my headphones as I've tried multiple pairs.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or has had it and solved it? Thanks!
when you connect your headphones or 3.5 jack into the phone does it give you an option for safe headset mounting ?>

Headphones problem

Hi
I've experiencing a headphone problem. It's always on (icon in notification bar) whether the my HP is on or not. I reflashed the ROM with no success... Finally I replaced the jack port but the problem persisted. I switched to another ROM (Resurrection Remix Oreo) but nothing. Finally I used an app called Headset Toggle. It did the job. But the problem the effect is not for long time and switching to my HP and vice versa has to be through the app.
Any suggestions about this please? Could it be a kernel issue?
Thanks
