Hey guys... I'm trying to find an application that supports communications with Microsoft Lync 2010. The company I work with prefers that I use a Windows Mobile phone primarily for Microsoft applications, especially Lync 2010.. is there such a thing as an android application that can communicate with Lync?
Check out AndrOCS by Widget Media. It's still in beta but looks promising.
Try Xync
Try Xync
It has a trial application from what I can see from their website. It is not free from what I can see which is rather unfortunate.
Hey XDA,
Romit Metha (@theromit) started a Google doc that is keeping track of some of the most popular and big name mobile apps out there and whether or not they are available for WP7.
Here is a link to the list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Atl58J-8ikdwdHpVOTJzTjhGSHBTeVUyRlNjVHRsX0E&hl#gid=0
Do you want me to list them in this post too? Or just refer to the link?
Tweet suggestions to him (@theromit) or post them below and I'll pass the message on to him to update the list accordingly.
What apps do you want to see on Windows Phone 7 that are available on iOS, Android or BB?
I'm looking forward to a Wells Fargo application or Mint.com, as well as Nike+, and Instagram.
Sam
PS:
We are looking for suggestions for apps that are officially on iOS (iPhone) and Android (Smartphones not Tablets). Maybe a thread for the tablet versions of apps can be appropriate in the Windows 8 forum once it launches later this year. In the meantime lets focus on mobile!
Edit: To reduce duplication, here are all the apps so far.

Code:
Spotify
Soundhound
Are already in the Marketplace for a while now...
And Nokia has a Univision app (don't know if its official).
People also want a YouTube app and a Google Maps app (all official, arguably more wanted/needed than Google+)
+ 1 for teamviewer - that would be amazing.
Skype obviously. Also Aweditorium, Flipbook, dragon dictation, and most importantly a UK version of the Amazon app.
What's missing the in the list (ordered by importance) :
1) Hamachi, HAMACHI , HAMACHI!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. LogMeIn is different from Hamachi. LogMeIn let's you remotely login (a sort of VNC client/server), Hamachi creates fast and easy peer 2 peer VPN (even behind firewall).
2) Jaxtr !!!!!!!!!! JAXTR !!!!!!!!
3) a proper Console/cmd for moving, rename files, ping and similar
4) torrent client
5) a java virtual machine (even an emulated one would be good enough)
6) ssh/ftp/http/php server (3 different apps)

Flipboard would be amazing, both on Windows 8 and Windows Phone. I feel like it could translate nicely with the metro design language.
Keep the suggestions coming XDA! I'll work on updated the first post in this thread and keeping it clean and organizing it better. I'm also going to send our suggestions to Romit too.

I would really like a really good Comcast Xfinity app. I was pumped when I saw this a while back.....http://pocketnow.com/software-1/windows-phone-7-app-concept-comcast-xfinity
It may be a reality after seeing this.....http://www.zdnet.com/blog/btl/comcast-confirms-microsoft-deal-xfinity-coming-to-xbox-360/59853
I'd like to see:
Words with Friends
Square (credit card processing)
thank you very much for useful info

So true. Flipbook looks and feels like it should have been an app designed specifically for metro. They both quote a 'celebration of typography'. It will really shine on a windows 8 tablet, but I could easily see it working on wp7 too. Fingers crossed.
Skype and a Port of the Android App "Quizoid" ( I have the Database with the Questions, so I can port it, but alone is not so easy ) ...
Opera browser with flash support.
Hello WP7 users,
I want to share a few thoughts about the Windows Live Groups (WLG). WLG is a free service by Microsoft that allows various people to collaborate. Every group has a calendar, a group page, a Messenger "chatroom", a mailing list and - in my opinion the best feature - a small SkyDrive completely with Office Web Apps. I personally do use WLG as soon as I think that a project needs heavy collaboration. I think this fairly unknown service is way better than Google Groups when it comes to document sharing and coediting. However there is a problem. This service is neither integrated in the current Windows 8 builds, the SkyDrive App or Windows Phone 7. Everytime I want to check out documents in one of my groups I have to go through the Webbrowser. This makes it impossible to edit these documents on the go. There is however a suggestion for this feature on the uservoice page. It would be awesome if you could spend some votes on it. I think that including WLG support would attract a few more people to WP7, maybe not thousands of them but it would support both the WP7 platform and the Windows Live service.
The suggestion can be found here:

Thanks. I hope we can get a few more votes
Voted, should be aware though that Microsoft is changing their Windows Live branding to Microsoft Account. Just like Zune integrating to Xbox Live, so I think the service will still be there in the future, only under a different name/management.

Thanks for your support. I guess we'll see in the near future what will happen to all the Live Services
Put in 3 votes. It would be great to access this from the app or office hub.
Andriod is a great os.... Why don't u guys come up with android messenger with a pin for all android users and windows mobile phones. U can also extend it to symbian iphone and blackberry os. This is an idea of what i have in mind. The adm (android messenger) would be compatible with all os. The download will be once using the phone 'imei' so that even when the application is deleted and downloaded again it can still retain the same pin becos the imei becomes registered with one pin on the data-base.
Guys can i see how many can go with me on this?
There's already bbm for networking chat. And cross-platform apps like ping chat and whatsapp. If something else was to be created, it would have to bring something new to the field really.

Developer of SuperOneClick, ShortFuse, has just released a public beta of his new app, Fusion Messenger.
Hi everyone,
For those of you that don’t know I’m writing a new Android application that integrates SMS, GVoice and in the future Google Talk into one application.

He wrote this app after a massive request by vote from r/android.
Beware that at this point, it is in BETA stage. Functionality comes first before design.
Try out the app at the Play Store and help him crank out bugs.
