I recently attempted to flash CleanROM. When I completed the initial boot, the screen was completely black and I could not press anything. When I hold down the power button it pops up with the "power off" dialog box. I restarted it and still the same situation. I then went back into recovery and flashed the Stock + Root ROM and I am having the exact same issues. The screen is working in recovery and the boot animation shows but after it finishes booting I just have a black screen and then I can only "power off". Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I had the same problem once. No matter of full wipefrom recovery and flash a different ROM, the screen was still black. The only way I found to fix it is to flash the factory image from googlw and then root and flash ROMs again and the black screen disappeared.

I was trying out using a keyboard with a cheap USB OTG cable, and all was good. Then all of the sudden the screen went buggy, where ever other line of pixels was shifted to the left or the right, almost like some sort of corrupted video file. It started to reboot itself, and it got to the black screen with the Google logo and then the screen fuzzed in the same way as before. It then starts to reboot and does the same thing over and over again. I find that I can get to the recovery screen with the scroll arrows. From there, if I tell it to reboot into recovery it goes back into the same Google logo bootloop. I then went back to the original recovery screen and I decide to try out adb to see if it works. Sure enough it does, and I unwisely start flashing a stock 4.2 bootloader image. However, while it is flashing the screen does the same fuzz thing and and stays fuzzed. Then it doesn't respond to anything. I take out the battery, and try to restart and with will not turn on at all, no vibration, no light from the screen, nothing. I tried a unbricking methods from there, and nothing can make it come back alive. Any ideas?

I have the V500 on CM12.1 unofficial. Everything was fine and then I went to do a backup in TWRP. Then I looked at the restore menu but didn't do anything. I backed up to my SD Card. Then I booted back into the system, but all that came on was the back button and the notification tray and status bar. The background was black. No home button or multitask button. So I reset it a few times. Eventually I could get into the tablet but when I clicked on a app nothing opened. I then reset it again and it kept coming on with that partial screen. I tried to boot into recovery to try and restore the backup but ADB was locked and the button combination didn't work. So I decided to flash back to stock using LG Mobile Tools. Eventually I could get into download mode but when it got close to finishing to flash the software it stopped and gave me an error. After doing some hard reboots it eventually flashed the software because it would boot into the LG screen. But it was stuck in a bootloop and I've read that in order to fix that you need to do a factory reset. So I tried to boot to recovery but when I pressed and held down volume down and power nothing would happen. Sometimes it would flash the LG logo for a split second. Eventually after a lucky try the LG logo stayed on and I could boot to recovery and do a factory reset. Then everything was back to stock. But when I turn off the tablet it won't power back on unless I plug in the tablet. Battery is fine. Regular battery life it just won't turn on when I power it down without being on the charging screen.
Hi guys. I have a factory refurbished AT&T E980 that had stock 4.2.2 on it when I got it. Assuming it was the last OTA that was pushed out. I attempted to downgrade to 10g because I was still learning the recovery options for this phone. I've since flashed most of the available JB builds with similiar results. From off, the phone will show the AT&T logo for a few seconds, then go to a black screen for several seconds. Then I have to hit the power button twice to bring up the home screen. There is no boot animation, but you can hear the accompanying sound. I seemingly cannot get any roms to boot, other than stock, as they all hang at a black screen, even after wiping/factory reset. I also cannot get any variants of recoveries to work, other than the CWM packaged with GPro Recovery. The TWRP included with that only shows a black screen with the back and menu buttons lit up, and the home button cycling through colors.
I've searched through the forums and haven't seen anyone experiencing this issue. My only clue to the problem is reading something about another LG phone that, once refurbished, came with updated display drivers that caused a similar issue. Here.
Any insight would be appreciated.
*Edit
I flashed SphinX Pro v2.0 after posting this. It corrected the above issues, and allowed me to boot into the included philz recovery with no problems. I then tried to use philz to flash the Cloudy TWRP in preparation for installing Super Mini V6.5 but was unsuccessful. What I assume is supposed to be recovery is now a black screen. The bootanimation is gone, but I no longer have to cycle the power button to show the home screen once it boots all the way up.
I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 on 5.1.1 (Sprint SM-G920P)
I tried downloading and failing to install xposed stupidly. So then it was stuck on a bootloop. I then again stupidly did a factory reset thinking that it'll fix the problem (but it only got worst in my opinion) i then flashed twrp and tried to install the uninstall for xposed but i couldnt uninstall it because it wasnt any data folder to put it in since i ****ing did a factory reset. Anyways then i got frustrated and did an advanced wipe and cleared all the data... I am now just stuck on the "samsung galaxy s6 ... Powered by android" screen and i need help . I literarlly tried everything
Black and white Samsung logo showed up.
Initially I could only get to blue Downloading screen
By observing and trying various described ways I finally got to the Android recovery menu.
My current procedure to get there is here:
Turn off holding Down+Power
The b/w Samsung logo will automatically come up and stay that way forever
Hold Down+Power+Home until screen goes black and move finder from Down to UP while still holding the Power+Home
as soon as black and white Samsung logo comes up AND continue holding UP+Power+Home until Android flashes and recovery menu comes up.
Then I did go through the described wipe cash, and factory reset and some more wipe cash with reboot system in various combinations and always ended on black and white Samsung logo screen.
Tried to flash sboot but failed.
Then the new firmware showed up for sprint and i tried flashing 2 firmwares (G920PVPU3BOJ7_G920PSPT3BOJ7_SPR and G920PVPU3BOI1_G920PSPT3BOI1_SPR)but both succeeded but is still on the samsung logo screen
From the recovery menu only power down selection is useful as it does turn the phone off until I turn it on. The power button does not power off – it just boots back on.
Apply update from cache gives yellow text in the bottom of the scree: “APPLY_CHEK is deprecate.”
I have no clue how to use e.g. first 3 menu items.
Reboot to bootloader – just brings the b/w logo .
View log displays row upon row of things I have no clue about – pages of it.
On the very bottom of the screen – in yellow – there are two lines:
“dm-verification failed…
Need to check DRK first…”
Please help. — Max
Download the PI3 file from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...uide-links-files-update-root-restore-t3366862
Flash using Odin. There is a video linked in the OP to show you how.
That should take you back to stock.
Do what Koop said and then follow: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
I also recommend this when you get Xposed working: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-xtouchwiz-customize-stock-samsung-t3296878
I use this on my S6 and have experienced absolutely no issues.
A notification came up for a new update and tried to install it. The update failed on the update screen and the phone tried to reboot. I gave it half an hour but I'm certain it's stuck on the screen with the white dots circling a red one. Held down the power button to restart but still stuck.
I can get into the options menu, but selecting recovery seems to just restart. When selecting fastboot, there's no number after bootloader and baseband version.
I have little experience with rooting and flashing or whatever. Not sure what to do, any suggestions?

This is what we call a bootloop. Now you can try a factory reset, but installing TWRP si way better if you encounter these issues in the future. Try to wipe System then flash OOS and it should be fine.
