Hi! Is there a tasker plugin or a similar app that puts the phone into vibrate mode when the Sony smartwatch is connected to the phone?
Thanks
Answering myself I was doing something wrong when creating the task but now is working as it should.
Thanks

This is bugging me big time. When my handsfree device is connected to my phone via BT, the phone answers a call automatically on the first ring, for any and every call. The Auto Answer setting in Phone-Settings-More is UNCHECKED. What the heck?
Furthermore, turn off Bluetooth, and the phone stops auto answering. Does anyone know how to stop this? Is this a glitch of WM6's BT stack?
is there any answer for this issue ?
it's killing me and accidentally press Mute button
Hello,
As you know wear aware allows you to find your phone when the watch is still connected to the phone. However this is useless in the event that it is disconnected or someone tries to steal your phone. That's where tasker comes into play.
Currently I have tasker set up that should my watch go out of range of my phone (disconnected bluetooth), my note 4 will lock the phone, put the ringer volume to max, and play a very aggressive ringer for about 25-30 seconds (Splinter cell alarm). This is so that even at the distance it takes for bluetooth to be disconnect, i can immediately hear/ track down my phone.
My dilemma is that i am not very experienced with development or even tasker for that matter, and i dont know how to go about creating an appropriate "trigger" to turn off the ringer once i have the phone back in my hands. Otherwise the ringer would play for the full 25-30 seconds. Would anyone be able to help me with this? Or even turn it into an app with the Tasker app maker?
Also since volume up and down options are also overridden by the active tasker task to play at max volume, it would also be cool if powering off the device be disabled during this period as well. Makes it harder for those thieves to steal our phones!
Thank you,
This is what i have so far:
- Profile: Not BT connected Moto 360
- Tasks: Play ringtone Splinter Cell Alarm, Ringer Volume level 15, System lock
Ps. I apologize for any lack of formality or necessary information as this is my very first post!
Hello.
I upgraded my phone to Lollipop and I want to learn,
How to Make Phone Silent, Moto 360 Vibrate?
On 4.3 or 4.4, we can do that but on 5, I can't find it.
Unfortunately, mute connected phone option does not work in android 5
The only workaround so far is to use a program like tasker or trigger to silence the phone when
connected to moto 360
Yes, mute connected phone option does work in android 5. Go into the Android Wear app, click the settings, then you will see the Mute phone alerts and calls option, that will make it so your phone doesn't vibrate/make noise and your watch will vibrate.
Hello
Is there any way to silence a call using the watch? I am not talking about rejecting the call, just to turn off the ringer.
It can be done by pressing the vol/power button on the phone but I cant find how to do it on watch.
quick google couldnt give me the answer, hope you guys know any way to acheive this
You can look at the app "Ringtone Remote" in Google Play. I haven't tried it, but it seems to be able to do what you want. It is also free!
When you cover the watch with a open palm, the watch will turn black and the phone will become silent and the call will continue to ring silently
Nice, didn't know that. It actually did work... the first time. When I test it the second time the call on the watch gets muted but the phone keeps on ringing, even though it did work the first time I tested.
thanks it works. But i dont get a 100% success rate. But it still works
Wear Mini Launcher, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.npi.wearminilauncher. It has a Widgets screen that controls multiple things on the phone, including allowing you to toggle speaker on, mute, or vibrate... from the watch.
I would also like to be able to touch one of the icons on the watch face that I am using to immediately mute the watches' speaker. That would solve your request and mine also. Thanks
OK so I figured if I set my phone volume to vibrate only, like I typically do when I'm in a meeting or at a Dr appointment, that my watch would also change to vibrate only, but it doesn't appear to do so because my watch still rings if I receive a call. Anyone else have this issue? If I set my phone to Do Not Disturb, then it silences my watch, but that also disables vibration which I do not want. I know I can also go into the watch menu and disable sound that way, but I just thought it was suppose to mirror the phone settings.
What about selecting "Sound on/off" from the drop down menu on the watch?

Click to collapse
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I have already tried that. It just turns off sounds on the watch and not on the phone.
Sorry to revive a dead thread... going to bump here. But did you ever figure this out? Anyone? Thanks. =)
I was about to start a new thread about this when I found this one. I also want my watch to ring when my phone does and not when my phone is muted. I attend a few events a week where everyone's phone must be muted. I imagine that do not disturb mode would work, but I use vibrate only so I'll at least feel when I get notifications.
If I'm reading this Google article right, this should be possible and automatic: https://support.google.com/androidwear/answer/6056843?hl=en
