As the title suggests, is it possible since the T-Mo variant does have a unlocked bootloader? I am aware that there is a ROM already out on the T-Mo section but seeing if we can directly flash a ROM from the H815. Getting a bit jealous of these updates you guys are getting

Thanks for the reply but wonder if I could flash a regular H815 update from there on? Guess that will be more targeted towards that thread. That is the one that I referred to in my initial post about the one ROM already for the T-Mo variant.

Unfortunately it is only for the international version.
I'm a noob as well, but I'd say because they have different processors (S4 and Tegra3) you cannot flash the same ROMs...

I really want to root it and put a custom ROM on it but have NO idea how to even start.. I've tries searching the forum but only found ROMS but no guides... is there a step by step newbie guide from bottom to top?
I would be very grateful!
*EDIT: I'm from Israel, bought it from the carrier PARTNER (ORANGE). its the 16 GB 2 ram version

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure at this moment only the U.S T-Mobile G3 has an unlocked bootloader. Maybe the bootloader will be unlocked for other versions and ROMs will be developed, but it doesn't look promising at this point.

I was preety sure that the international version has to be unlocked, the G2 was like that I think.
Any at&t roms work on t-mobile variant?
no they do not work.flash an att rom to an tmobile g3 and you will brick your device.the only way i believe it could work is if someone port the rom first, but i don't think is worth it since att and tmobile has pretty much the same stuff.but porting an international rom to the lg g3 tmobile thats something i would like to see soon

Older version works still but not the updated lollipop for obvious reasons. Not bad running if you are still running kitkat.

Guess if you don't read and just start flashing, yes, could be an issue. If you read before flashing you would see the faq section that says don't flash the latest on xxx devices but use the older version, exactly what I said.

Cloudy 1.2 works flawlessly & yes that new lollipop version will brick your device.
Hi, is there anyway I can convert a Galaxy S6 Edge from T-Mobile to International variant? I used to own a HTC One and I could simply change the CID and MID to be able to install different ROMs and firmwares form other Htc One variants.

I routinely used International Roms on my Tmob S5 no issues. Simply root then flash whatever. The Tmob variant used the Qualcomm processor so one had to just make sure they flashed the correct International version, which as far as Tmob goes, was the KLTE International model.

Never really a good idea here on XDA asking "What is the best ROM". It is so early in the game right now I would just watch the Forum posts here and on the XDA International site for ROMs as they come out from various developers.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general
Here is a link to the general section for the Samsung galaxy S6 which references the International site. Plus I have no clue at this time if they will be mixing and matching S6 vs S6 Edge Roms, just because the Edge obviously will have a few more capabilities. Again, this is way too early in the game to be even thinking about a 'best Rom"
Also interested to know if it can be converted to international so I can get international updates instead of waiting for Tmobile to push it out. Flashing roms is a no-brainer. Now that all S phones have the same hardware, I'm interested in straight conversion like HTC phone(s) are able to do.
Sent from my SM-G920T using XDA Free mobile app
.
if I understood correctly , I have G920T (from T-Mobile US), I'll be able to upload the firmware of an international G920F. Settings of LTE will change just as it has a model F ?
What about the wifi calling? You would lose this with the international rom wouldn't you? I had actually been thinking about getting the international (for the green that us disenfranchised Yanks don't get) and then putting tmo software on it.
Considering we have TWRP it should be a matter of time until we are running international roms. If I wasn't going to work I would be flashing it now

I'm wondering if I should attempt to flash an international rom. We do have twrp of course and if anything weird happens it is an odin fix away granted.
I guess I'll be intrepid and try it out. I sort of need to have an int'l rom because I also need to sim unlock the device

i see so theres no way to update the firmware if theres no official update? also I cant see any thread that has compilation of firmware of their respective courier
Because you're looking at the wrong place.
Verizon, search in verizon thread.
Same goes for Sprint, search in sprint thread

For Verizon, really NO.
But I'm thinking VZN will update soon. It was scheduled for Jan. Which is obviously not the case, but hopfully soon. Sprint is now rolling out.

My warning applies only to Sprint and Verizon variants, which support CDMA (have different partitioning from non-CDMA versions). You cannot install other versions firmware to Sprint and Verizon variants.
You can install international firmware to the AT&T version m8 with s-off (may need to change the CID, MID depending on whether the firmware was hacked or not).

Hard to say, there isn't enough info to answer this definitively/properly.
If the version has a MM RUU, the easiest solution is probably to run the RUU (will wipe phone).
