If you are rooted try ts10 from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45183659. It pretty much solved the same issue i had on both of my tablets .
Edit: i tried this on lollipop and would not boot but it works fine on kk.

Since that is a software fix, do people report that the lollipop update fixes it?

I updated to lollipop but rolled back to kk because xposed doesn't work, the touch problem was still happening. I tried what this video suggests and no improvement. http://youtu.be/cOnccu6Nbl0 the ts10 doesn't totally fix the problem but it makes it MUCH better. Every few days when it comes back, I wipe cache n dalvik and it is usable again.

It seems like its a 5.0 issue. I had zero issues on 4.4.4, now this just crap. Is google aware?
Thanks. That's what I thought.
Like you, one of my reasons for staying with kitkat is xposed.

might absolutely have to do with hardware. look carefully at the connectors, detach then re-seat them tightly.

Hello,
i had problems with my s5 mini with cyanogenmod 13 installed. I lost wifi connection in sleep. I was told that this was an android related problem. Is this problem still here in android 7? I am thinking about buying a nexus 5x and i don't want those problems again. I found out that this was a related problem to the wifi optimization option, which was removed.
Thanks,
MarcoBoy99
Never had that problem on a Nexus. I am on 7 for about a month now (including dev preview).

I don't recall ever having issues with it on my 5x, both on 6.0 and 7.0. It never seemed to have issues with downloads or anything with the screen off and with WiFi set on during sleep, so I never looked into it. Was your experience across multiple devices on 6.0 or just the S5 with CM? Just asking because I've noticed bugs and issues like that on just about every non-nexus device I've flashed non stock based ROMs to.

It is likely that it was a bug from the S5 Mini, the 5X doesn't have these WiFi issues.

Understood, but there's been a couple of people confirming this is not related to the Nexus 5X. And I can tell the same. So if you wanna this device, make sure to grab one

How about fastbooting factory image? It is available on here. When getting to the new Android version I prefer doing this as sometimes I have some leftovers making my phone going crappy.

Well, good question. There's plenty on there experiencing the same. But I don't have this either. Not sure how many of those people did the clean install. I know it is painful starting up from the scratch but to me it is always the only way how to see whether there was't sorta conflict from the previous version. I am not telling you go for it. All I am saying is that you might give it a go

Hello,
3 days ago I received CHUWI vi10 plus tablet with REMIX 2.0. OS. The problem is that the system is freezing like every 5-10 if I´m doing anything (its necessary to reset it with long pressing the power button). In developer options I changed GPU rendering to enable and it seems that it a helped a bit but freezes still persists.. Does somebody here have similar experience or some tip to repair it? I have noticed that Chris in his review mentioned a similar problem… but according to his words it dissapeared. Its extremely annoying.
Factory reset is not helping.
I have the same problem. Trying to get in touch with someone from Jide or Chuwi but not having much luck. think I have a $180 paperweight.
Any chance both of you have microSD card inserted in? If yes, remove the card and see if this helps with alleviating the freezing problem (I know it sounds weird).

Hi,
A guy from the Chuwi Forum found out that enabling GFX in the Bios solves the freezing issue. This works well for me, too.

Hi! Did you figure out how to connect a keyboard to boot into BIOS?
You can connect a USB keyboard via an OTG adapter. I have the keyboard cover so there was no need to attach an external one.

Got mine yesterday. Wondering if there's a way to root it and flash Viper. After just 1 day of use I didn't face any freeze yet. But I did a F.R before starting to use it.

I did this and I'm still getting freezing. Really annoying.
I got the same issues as well. Freezing
This freezing issue is really really irritating. Tried enabling gfx but doesn't help either. Even when installing an app from the play store. Hope guys at Chuwi are conscious about this because this tablet got a real potential.
I am having the same issues, even with the suggestion in this thread. Yellowflash is correct, has real potential. But if it is freezing non stop its really a huge waste of time and money...

Thanks Tony, that is something I did try as well. It seems to be crashing/freezing the same with our without a Micro SD card present.
Chuwi need to address at least patches to fix these freezing asap. Because imo Remix only should be a pleasant experience on this tablet and not horrible!
This tablet is and will be the last Chinese tablet I'll ever buy.
Try this:
Settings --> Experimental Features--> Enable Launcher file mode.
This was the fix for me. On the down side you'll get kind of a Windows Desktop.
Hi guys I just found out that there's CM13 build for a bunch of Chuwi tablet including the vi10 plus

Fix for 'freezing issue' & 'keyboard dock wake issue' for stock Remix OS and stock Android is now available.

Also released patches for these issues for my CM12.1 build earlier.

Make sure you have factory reset after the update to Pie, major OS updates like this always leave bugs behind that only a reset can fix
I have, but to no avail, I'm going to download the official pie & flash with Odin & if that doesn't work, then it's back to oreo. I use my phone while I fly my mavic pro drone and can't afford for it to become unresponsive.
I have been using my RN5Pro device for about an year. Now the screen started to show burn/image retention issues. Can this be fixed through update or its a hardware problem?

It's a permanent issue bud, and it'll just increase with time, if your device is in warranty, get it changed or just learn to live with it, like I did.
