Add mobile data toggle - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

I didn't see this anywhere on here so i thought id throw up a small tutorial for those who would like to add it to there toggles. Oh and to the best of my knowledge you must be rooted to achieve this, it's the only way I know how.
1. Download sqlite editor from play store.
2. After opening sqlite editor scroll all the way down until you get to settings storage and click it.
3. On the next screen pops up choose settings.db.
4. Next screen choose system which should be at the bottom of the list.
5. Now scroll all the way to the bottom until you see notification_panel_active_apps_list and hold you finger on out to highlight it and then select the pencil(edit) button at the top of the screen.
6. Go the the very end of all the entries and add MobileData; <-----just like I have typed right there even with the; directly after it.
7. Press save
8. Back out and reboot.
9. After reboot you should now be able to edit your quick toggle buttons but now there will be a mobile data option in the 2nd list that you can slide up to the top section.
10. Enjoy
I hope this helps someone out that is aggravated with the no quick toggle data scenario.

Is there any other way without rooting?

No settings.db shows on my device.

There is nothing in settings storage , please help

How to change bottom 4 icons?

I am new to Android and was wondering how to change the 4 icons at the bottom. I figured out how to replace them but I want to keep them there but with cooler icons that I have seen on other handset devices.
I don't want it to interrupt the touchwiz as I like it.
You can't change the Home/Application one at all, but the others you can change in the application view, my handset has gone back to be replaced so I can't check right now, but I believe if you hit the menu button and go into editing mode you can just drag n drop the icons in and out of the tray.

.... is it malfuncioned ?
i'm planning to get one but now u made me concerned
Seems to have been some problem in the ROM on mine, I wouldn't let it put you off - so far I'm the only person to have been affected so I wouldn't worry about it.

Same here, you can only replace the "Phone, Contacts & Messaging". But I don't think there's a problem with that.

glad to hear that man ... thx for ur reply
You can change the 4 buttons below.
1. Get into Menu Mode (not home/torchwiz mode) by pressing the right left of the 4 botton on AMOLED.
2. There is 3 botton below the screen. Press the bottom left button. A menu will appear.
3. Select Edit. All the icons can be edited now.
4. Give any buttons a "LONG PRESS", you can start to move the icons around.
In Touchwiz mode, you can also move the torchwiz icons by just long press and move it around.
I understand how to put new shortcuts down in there, but I want the 4 buttons, just replace the icon so it 'looks' different.
Oh, misunderstood.
So you want to change the 'look' of the icon.
Sorry, that one I do not know.
use Launcher Pro from the market... you will have 14 icons below customized to your liking
Thanks was looking for info on this earlier

Go into applications.
Click the menu button (left 'physical' button), set to grid mode it not already.
When in grid mode, the menu will have an edit option.
Go to that and then you can change the apps on the bottom.
LOL

Nowe it's clear and i changed them ... very ueful

Dragging Smart Select into Upper Text Box

I just got my note today and was excited to try out the smart select feature. Unfortunately, if you try and drop what you've selected into a text box on the top of the screen, the delete option gets in the way and doesn't allow you to finish dragging. Any work around for this?

What are you trying to do exactly and what app is that?

When you hover the Spen over the screen and click the button, smart select is one of the options. You can crop an area on the screen and it will do text recognition. It then produces a floating bubble that you can drag and drop into a text field; however, once you start dragging the floating bubble, the top of the screen becomes the place to drag and delete the bubble, just like dragging an icon to delete on your home screen. So, having the delete box on the top of the screen renders the feature useless for any text field on the top of the screen.

Ah I see.
I believe you are misunderstanding how to use the smart select feature.
That icon is not text, it is a collection of selections you took. To turn a selection into text there is a little T in the corner of the selection. (It can do fun things if your selection is phone numbers, addresses etc)
If I assume correctly you were trying to use smart select in place of highlighting copy and paste into a search bar.
If this is true then you can just highlight normally hold spen button drag across text you want and a bar with options will appear one of them is a search option that will auto search the selected text.
Some apps don't support spen highlight feature ex. firefox in which case you can highlight traditionally with a tap and hold spen(or finger) on screen and it will display the selection arrows for you to select, an options bar to do the same as above will appear.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't notice that little "T" after doing the smart select. Wish I was still able to drag it in, but the copy and paste thing works too.

Step 1: Head to Settings menu and then choose Apps.
Step 2: Press the gear icon in the top right-hand corner and choose Default Apps > Assist & voice input.
Step 3: Tap the Assist option and choose None from the pop-up menu.
The current selection is Google, which means that the Google Now shortcut on the lock screen will be replaced. And now for that caveat: Changing this setting also disables long-pressing the Home button to open Google Now on Tap.
If you change your mind, you can always switch the Assist app back to Google.
Thanks you very very much.
I solve the problem.
Happy new week

Change assistant button function [Root+ lsposed required]

I bet everyone is sick of the key on Moto G 5G plus just like me. I have looked for a solution everywhere but I failed to find one.
Few days ago I found Physical Button Master Control (PBMC) and it was the solution. You can find a thread by @Xspeed HERE. He deserves the donation for turning this useless button into anything you want it to be.
Pre-requests:
1- Magisk
2- lsposed
3- PBMC
I'm not gonna go into how to root your phone using magisk as you can find many guides on xda and same for lsposed.
once you have magisk and lsposed, download PBMC from the link in @Xspeed thread and install the app and activate it in lsposed then restart the phone.
1-Open PBMC and press add (plus sign)
2-Enter any name in the (Name this chain) space. Personally I named it bright because I changed the function of the assistant key so it makes the brightness goes up; it helps me when I go outside and it's sunny as I don't activate auto brightness because it's annoying
3-Click on open chain diagram and from here you'll see three boxes.
a) The condition box is something that has to be true in order for the key to do its function. I chose screen state (screen on, lock screen)
b) the second box is add input key. choose basic then single press. you'll see a space says Unknown. click on change then press the assistant button so the app detects it then ok.
c) The last box is add action. From here you can choose the new action of the assistant key. I chose keypress and searched for brightness up.
4-Once you're done, go back and click save ( the button next to the add button).
You should see it in the chain list tab. If it has any problems, swipe it to the left and make a new one.
No need to reboot
Thanks for @Xspeed effort, this key used to bug me a lot as it was too useless and now it serves me very well.

thanks !
it works but after each change a reboot was needed for me to work
I failed to make the assistant button launch the camera with this method. Tried Xposed Edge as well. Only thing that works is Buttons Remapper app.
Edit: As of May, 10th 2023 Buttons Remapper no longer works. Shame.
