[Q] CWM Problem

Hi there, just bought a new N7100 and because I'm using Linux mint I decided to root my phone using Exynos Abuse and to be honest this was really simple....Then I installed ROM Mnnager, and set up CWM recovery from within ROM Manager. Now then, CWM has installed but whenever I try to reboot into CWM I just get stock recovery....
Is there a simple method to resolve this problem????
Thank you in advance
Delete the file named recovery restore.p or something via root explorer.

Thank you for your quick reply however I cant locate this 'recovery restore.p' to delete it. I've tried looking in system, sys, root and almost all other folders via Root Explorer cant find it. Any ideas??
Thank you
Download the recovery from cwm site.
If it is in .img format then rename it to recovery.img and flash it via mobile odin.

Yeah this is what it says in flashing instructions:
For Odexed, Deodexed, Kernels, and Modems use CWM or TWRP to flash.
__-- Data will be preserved.
For Factory Image use Odin.
__-- Unzip the downloaded file and flash ".tar.md5" via Odin. Ignore "SS_DL.dll". Will LOOSE data and root. Back to Factory State.
____-- If you boot loop go back into recovery, do a factory reset, and reboot.
What does that even mean. I download the modem file and then...

And then you put it on the root of your sd card then boot phone into recovery (thats if your rooted and have a custom recovery , like cwm or twrp ) (get into recovery by having phone off press volume up and home center button and power button all simultaneously until I see the galaxy note II as creen let go of power but hold volume up and home buttun until your in recovery , then let go of buttons ) then go to install if in twrp navigate to the root of your sd card and selct the modem zip and press flash after that reboot and you should be good.

Thanks, I don't know whether or not there is a custom recovery, as I just got the phone and it came with the Jedi rom, not sure if that is cwm or twrp. And I've never rooted a custom rom or other zip before but this post certainly helps.
How do you put it in the root of SD Card? The internal one in the Note 2 right? Is there a specific folder I put it in?
And which file am I taking from the modem download? Just the .bin? Do I rename it?

Do yourself a BIG favor... slow down!!!! Start by doing a LOT of reading. Search button works great here... use it! You've never done any of this before, and if you do something wrong you are going to be posting "My phone won't boot" or some other thread that says your phone is dead.
Since you just bought the phone and it has a custom ROM, it has a custom recovery. Start by making a backup in recovery, and save to your sd card so you have something to fall back on.
Don't be silly an be too anxious and brick your device.
NO problem, if you have the jedi rom I can guarantee u have a custom recovery so just go ahead and take the steps I told u and u should be good . Having any trouble Pm me or watch some Youtube videos .

Well, yeah... I've been asking for hours today and a couple yesterday if anyone had a simple, step by step guide to flashing the modem.
I remember android central had some good stuff for the fascinate but none for the note 2 it seems.
What do you even mean by, "in recovery"? Inside the CWM or TWRP?

Based on your questions, DO NOT ATTEMPT to Flash the modem. You need to read up much more BEFORE YOU START.
One, wrong flash and you are screwed. Make sure you back up your EFS partition before you start so you dont loose your IMEI.

Ok... is there a way I can safely go back to just stock whatever t-mobile so I can just get the normal LTE update?
Do I take just the bin file onto the sd card or all these files in a folder?
And then do I put that/those files into one of these folders?

Ok, I did some reading.
Can I use Odin to flash this file ( w/o rooting)?
I prefer not to use a micros sd because i dont think I have one or I have to search the whole house to find it.

Christian, I installed a rooted rom on my s2, now to do that mod you posted up there, do I need to go to recovery and wipe partition and davlik and then select the zip file from external sd card? Or how can I put that mod installed?
Or just put that zip file in a external sd card, put it in the phone and choose it to install?
Thanks

According to root check app my s2 is rooted and according to rom manager Clockworkmod is installed buy I cant access clockwork by holding power and volume up and down buttons. If I hold power and volume up buttons it goes to a recovery that I think is the stock module.
Now, what's wrong, why I cant reach the clockworkmod?
Do I need the cwm to install this mod? ( long press back to shut down app)
I put the zip file in the external sd card and used the stock recovery to install it but its not working.

Do not play with root if you do not have enough knowledge what you are doing.
