Hi, is there any way of turning off the bright led flash on the rear of the phone when recording a video. A lot of people tell me when i am recording something even in daylight that it is blinding. Thanks in advance

Mine seems to follow the flash settings shown on the screen, if I'm using Auto mode.
If I have it set to always use the flash (lightning symbol), it uses the light during a video. If I have the flash disabled (crossed-out lightning symbol), it does not use the light. Auto-flash mode (lightning with an "A"), it decides whether or not to use the light.
Try manually disabling the flash. If you're in Simple mode, try changing to Auto mode, then disabling the flash.
Thanks v much, that has fixed the issue

I just noticed this now, but when i try to take pictures from the stock camera app, the led flashes when i touch focus it. ive tried different roms macnut,skyics... same thing happened. is this normal?
Try setting the flash to OFF. It's the pic of the lightning bolt.
Does it still do it. If it does then you have a problem.
If it is set to AUTO mode and it's doing this...just go outside in bright light and see if it still does it or not.
If it does it then...you have a sensor problem.
It doesnt happen when flash is off
when auto, i found that it lights when dark and not when its bright
so is this normal? when flash is ON, it flashes when focusing?

yes it is normal. You want to focus with the flash on because that is how your picture is going to be taken... with the flash on... Most phones can't focus with the flash off.. it's like focusing on a black screen, you'll get a red square
Thats what i thought, thanks guys!
I was just wondering if anyone ever came up with a method to get ambient mode to act the same way as it does on the LG G Watch R?
This meaning that after a couple of seconds the screen dims down to ambient mode but keeps being on just like with the LG G W R.
I know this would drain battery so please save me from those comments. Auto brightness would preferably still be active.
I allredy know about Swipify and it's "always on" option but that option is not letting the phone go into ambient mode without doing so manually.
Thanks in advance!

To my knowledge it's not currently possible to keep Ambient mode activated on the Moto360 with the current sdk. Hopefully the feature will be possible in the next OS\SDK update.
Hi everyone
Does anyone know if the lg g4 supports shooting in RAW in automatic mode? Or is in manual mode only? If so kinda a bummer. I spent about 10 min looking around but doesn't seem so.
Thanks.
Manual mode only, but you have to activate this
That's what I've seen so far as well and some reviews confirm it - RAW is only available in manual mode..
Can a custom camera app fix this?
If you just go into Manual mode, and don't make exposure adjustments, I think it will basically behave like Auto. It just shows more info and options on the screen.
But you could use Manual mode to also get RAW output, without really requiring more attention/fiddling by the user.
Manual mode are same as auto mode but you can access extra setting within it..
LG auto mode seems laggy when comes to environment changing from light to dark..
That's what manual mode come into used
Manual mode also save 2 different file, standard jpeg and raw(if its enable) and the jpeg processing quality is same in auto..
The downside of manual setting is it's locked exposure setting if ae-l is enabled that's is when we're playing with iso and shutter speed.
See attachment..that's auto in manual mode
You could make some changes to camera_config or media_profiles.xml to force RAW in auto. You might break something, but you can probably do it that way.
Agreed, just set the camera to manual mode and use it as though it's in automatic - it will adjust itself automatically as though it were still in auto mode, so long as you don't start fiddling with the settings.
About the only thing you'll not get in manual mode is automatic HDR photos - I think that's the only thing that won't automatically happen in manual mode, the only difference from auto mode.
Hello recently my pictures with flash using the default (and WhatsApp) camera have been way too dark.
The phone seems to flick twice before taking a picture and that causes the dark effect (I think).
If using Manual Camera I can set the shutter and flash settings and the problem is gone but sometimes it also flicks twice and gives me a dark picture.
Using unrooted locked bootloader stock android, phone is out of warranty and there is no support from Google or LG here.
Anyone know how to get the sRGB mode in developer options to stay on? The toggle works but when leaving the screen it just reverts off. I would like to use it while editing my photos. When I'm using my note 5 in basic mode the colors reflect as should on my computer. The LG G7 thinq does not. Any tips to get this working?
Appreciate it
