After permanent black areas appeared on my Verizon M8 screen; i'm gonna replace it.
i know it quite hard but i had to go through it especially HTC charges 220$ for that after 6 months and i'm not in US where HTC service here is bad.
on Amazon; screen prices around 50$
on Ebay; screen (named as OEM) prices range 50$, 75$, 100$ !!! (the top rated sellers)
Do you have suggestions where i can buy the original OEM screen.
And if not possible anywhere but through HTC; how i can rule the quality of the listing with this huge prices difference . . anyone had experience with good HTC screen parts.

Hi all,
I broke my SGS2 screen recently. I saw there is a very extensive tutorial to replace it.
However, I am puzzled at the offer on eBay. Prices go from around 100$ to 200$ for (allegedly) the same thing.
I can only guess that not all parts offered are genuine, even though they have Samsung written on the front.
AFAIK Samsung is the only one who knows how to produce SAMOLED+ screens so if those replacement are not genuine they should be LED I guess?
Can anyone comment on that? Are the 100$ assemblies (screen + glass) cheap knockoffs with LCD screens or are they as good as the original screen?
Thanks!
I recently dropped my Nexus 7 and the screen cracked. The touch is also almost unusable (all glitchy).
I have the tools needed to replace the screen, and I have done it on a few smartphones in the past. My question is : what is the difference on eBay between 90$ screens from the US vs 39$ screens from Hong Kong? Is it the same screen, but just cheaper in HK because it's from the supplier directly (or almost)?

Hard to say, generally you get what you pay for, I have read about people who paid for ones from cheaper venues and they turn out to be either for the older N7, or are just right out fake, at least with ebay you have some protection. YMMV.
The cheap ones from oversea at least for the cell phones I have bought are super thin and break really easy. As mdamaged said u get what you pay for def applies to replacement digitizers!
This is what you want, period. I've been replacing phone, tablet, laptop screens for 4 years as a full time job.

Hey the screen of my Nexus 5 just broke down the 2nd time a few weeks ago.
I have already replaced it once on my own last winter and i paid about 120€ for the whole replacement part (screen with frame and everything) but I don't want to spend so much money another time because I'd rather buy a new phone. Replacement screens on eBay start at about €105 + shipping ,but if anybody could tell me where I can get a replacement for a moderate price (about €70?) I would probably think about replacing the screen once again.
After some research on the internet i found some chinese shops on aliexpress.com who offer them for about €60 with free shipping (I'm living in Austria) but I'm not sure if these screens are OEM/good quality and I'm also not sure if there will be any customs duty if I order them directly from China to Austria.
For example this one looks serious to me: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/LCD-...exus-5-1pcs-lot-Free-shipping/1541156424.html (the part itself looks like the one I ordered the last one - some ohters on this shop are looking slightly different) but in the reviews some people say this one is not oem. Will I be able to use it normally with an european Nexus device?
This one for example says it is oem but doesn't have many reviews and is slightly more expensive: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/OEM-...-Touch-Digitizer-Screen-Frame/1584183589.html I think I'd rather pay some euros more and get an oem part but can I buy this part without issues (shipment, duty, etc.)?
Has anybody already made experience with one of those sellers and could recommend me one shop where I can get a good screen replacement (the whole thing) for a moderate price?
Have you tried out ordering there? Or did you go with a more expensive one?
I recently picked up a oneplus one with a deadspot on the touchscreen for 130 dollars and am looking for a replacement screen. There are many ranging from 50- 100 on ebay, aliexpress, amazon, etc, and I am unsure of which seller I can trust; some lack the capacitive buttons, have touchscreen issues, and so on. Can anyone who has replaced their screen with good results provide a link from which they bought theirs. My budget is anything under 60 and ideally it should ship from the us. Thanks.
I just bought 2 screens. One was from China and showed up with a dead spot in the screen. The other was from seller tradestar55 for $70 and the screen is perfect also its a US seller. Highly recommend avoiding the China crap and spending $20 more for something in the US. Go with tradestar55.
I would like to buy a Note 10 plus. Thought about buy a new tmobile variant on ebay off a seller that has 2k sales but have read you may get screwed as they may get locked out if reported stolen. Would it be possible to buy the Unlock variant and flash tmobil firmware on it? Been looking at some threads, it looks like it's possible but I dont know enough to be 100% and maybe someone can tell me. Maybe I'll buy a Amazon Renewed one and flash it if possible otherwise my only other option would be to spend 700 on Ebay and hope it's not a return or some other open box form.
Don't understand your problem...you want an unused/new phone from ebay?
I bought recently 2 note 10+ from ebay and both arrived safely and are working fine. Both came with their box and are about 1 year old. The 1st one is a black one and has some light screen burn on the lower part of the display only visible when watching a light image or video. Except for that it has good battery life and is cosmetically in very good condition.
The 2nd one I bought very cheap, came with both the display and rear glass cracked but in good working order. I replaced the display including the frame and rear glass. The display came with a new OEM battery. Its now a converted aura glow into a white one. Except for its main board, camera's etc its a new phone.
I bought the new display for the first one but then decided that the screen burn was not enough to replace that good working screen, I hardly notice it so the idea came to buy a damaged one and repair that one...Have not decided which one I keep. Maybe the misses will give up her note 9 and take one of the note 10's.
When buying of ebay look at the pictures, ask for a invoice and see how the seller replies to your questions. I bought many phones, computer, watches etc, all high dollar items and have never been disappointed. If its to good to be true walk away, nobody will give you presents in this society!
