Unusual battery behaviour - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I bought this tablet (Tab S 10.5 LTE, model number T-805) on September 2014. In the last month I'm experiencing weird battery behaviour, like the one in the screen attached. I had about 50% of battery charge and I started a game like Angry Birds 2.
In a matter of minutes, the tablet warned me that the battery charge was under 15% and after another minute the under 5% charge warning message appeared.
Questions:
1) is the tablet battery already worn out? Do you know if Samsung European warranty cover battery problems?
2) Before sending the tablet back to Samsung, should I try recalibrating the battery? I have an old power adaptor with 5V 0,7A (or 5V 1A), should I try a a "slow charge" to see if the battery situation improve?
I have the latest firmware, lollipop 5.0.2 and I did a factory reset after the update.

Do a battery re-calibrate is the first thing i would do.

John.

Thanks Thinderbox, I'll try with root and battery calibration.

Update: after a battery calibration discharge rate of the battery seems back to normal. Thanks again @Tinderbox (UK)!

[Q] Bad battery

Hi,
I've been using HTC Desire for 6 months and I got this problem lately.
First, please have a look at the battery icon. What does it mean?

Second, during the day use, my phone just freeze for no reason. And when it's freeze, the screen is totally off and the notification light flash 1 green, 2 orange continuously. Then I have to take out the battery, plug it in and turn it on to use. It just happens so randomly.
Third, it happened just now. I played game till the battery gone and left it on the table and went to sleep. But when I woke up, plugin the USB charger (I forgot the main charge at work) and it didnt charge. I turned the phone on and saw the battery icon was like what appears on the screenshot above. I turn it off and on again, the battery became full magically
So what caused all those is the battery? And sometimes when I use the phone for a long time when the battery get hot, it's freeze like I described as well.
Anyone got in the same case as mine?
No one knows?

Phone won't charge?

I've had my phone for about 2 or so months and it hasn't been charging. More accurately, it's been charging extremely slowly. Ever since the first time I've charged it, it has yet to ever charge to full battery even when I leave Kris charged overnight. I've already changed the battery and that hasn't affected anything so I'm pretty sure it's not the battery's problem but the phone's problem.
I don't have any mega-draining apps downloaded or running (I always exit fully out of my apps) other than the default ones running in the background. I've also tried switching chargers to no avail. I've gone from the Samsung charger that came with it to another USB cord to a battery-only charger and none of them have worked. I charged it overnight but today when I disconnected the phone from the charger my phone just shut off.
If you could help me at all that would be very much appreciated
Could be a faulty charge port?
I had a similar issue and traced it to the charging cable. I swapped the cable (not the charger) between my phone and the wife's and the problem followed the cable. Got a new one and the problem was solved.
Best way to test is with the power off

Galaxy Nexus (toro) dead?

Yesterday, I tried to charge my Galaxy Nexus (toro), which was fully depleted. It showed the battery icon like it usually does, but then it went kinda weird (idk how to describe it, look at the picture). Then it would turn off and do the same thing again. So then I charged the battery using an external charger, but the phone did not do anything, like it didn't even vibrate. If I connect a charger to the phone, I can get into the Bootloader, and if I go to recovery mode, it starts for like a second, but then turns off again. If it helps, it's the SCH-i515, running Unlegacy 4.4.4, and TWRP 3.x (not sure of exact version).

EDIT: I plugged it into a laptop, and it booted up just fine, but the battery was at 0% even after being left in an external charger overnight.
Maybe the battery is dead dead... Like when a car battery has a dead cell. It works when you plug it in because there's a charge going through. Do you have any extra batteries lying around that you could test. Just remember that you are fighting a losing battle against time which degrades battery life.

[Q] New Z2 play from China has huge battery drain.

I bought a "bargain" Z2 play from a China seller, and find it drains battery in about 7 hours.
drain occurs out-of-box with no updates. Flight mode doers not help.
Box was opened, I assume to flash international firmware. Phone is not "Play protect certified", so no google pay. Netflix works, but had to be side-loaded.

Utilities report around 600mA with screen on, over 400mA off & idle.
So charged, screen off and idle, phone is warm and runs flat in around 7 hours.
settings->battery does not show any apps with high usage.
XT1710-08 PVT1 Android 8.0.0 with 1st June'18 patch.
Anything to try before attempting RMA to China?
Should I try another firmware, or would that void warranty - if a Coolicool china warranty is honored.
A few days later, after numerous tests and factory resets, the problem suddenly went away.
About 1.5hrs into a 5 hr test in standby, the logs show the drain suddenly stopped.

Problem has not been seen since, even after firmware reset.
Any ideas? I hope it is permanent.

Question AccuBattery reports merely <2000mah capacity

Hi, i recently got a new GT master, everything is good except one thing. AccuBattery reports the phone's battery capacity is only 1928mah (screeshot attached). The battery feels ok though - lasts more than one day with normal usage (hours of gaming, navigation). Navigation consumes about 10% per hour. Should I be worried?

Found a possible reason: this phone splits the battery into two parts and AccuBattery might only have detected one of those.
It could be.
I know this phone have one of the longest batterie of all phones I ever had, easy 1,5 day with 15 social apps running

Exactly this. Phone has two batteries to support the 65W charging.
