I am on Cloudy 2.5 + Stock kernel + CIT Mod.
Ever since I upgraded to Lolipop I have been experiencing these "sudden" reboot problems. And once the "Sudden" reboot occurs, it keeps on rebooting over n over again after showing the lock screen. I am unable to do anything except for go into recovery and clear cache and dalvic cache. Sometimes that works, sometimes I am still stuck with the reboot loop.
Another thing of note is whenever I successfully recover from a reboot I have noticed a huge dump in battery stats. I have attached the images. and this happens everytime I recover from a reboot cycle. Not after a normal reboot, but just after that "Sudden" reboot cycle.
I noticed there was "Clear battery stats" in "LG SU 640" days which helped in keeping battery stats properly calibrated. But I dont see any such feature in LG G3 TWRP recovery. ::just something that I remember from old days ::
Anyways, here are the images of my battery stats. Notice the dump in the stats.

Hey salimbaba, I have the exact same problem on my G3 with Cloudy 2.5. I have ordered a new, cheap battery from a website called AliExpress, it should be here in two weeks or so. I think it might solve the problem, I will let you know! The way my phone is now is hopeless, at is crashes all the time, especially with under 60% battery...
Good luck!
I also have the exact same problem! U got any solution??
I had same problem and battery usage shows the same. I wrote post what i tried. At the end, problem was with battery.

Hi,
I was trying older and latest FXP 136, flashed kernel from zip, then put zip on SD card, then use Recovery to flash it, but on recovery ive got always same problem - the screen looks fine, then i press vol - to move line down and screen is getting splitted and moved on the screen, when i press vol- again its back ok, then again vol- splitting screen again, and it repeats...
Ive made a photo with screen splitted. Maybe can you tell me whats the reason? CM9 works pretty fine, but from first release of CM10 till now, i've got this problem on my MK16i...
Even when installed CM10 on this bugged recovery, Camera is not working

After it says "installing", what happens?
It is installed now without errors, after 2-3 wipes and installs and 3 or 4 times flashing kernel, because on first setup, i had messages about crash of setup or something like that, but after all it seems to be working, but recovery menu is still buggy as i've described above
Camera is not showing preview, but its taking pictures.
And there is again GPS problem - Google Maps can find the signal, but any other app, like Automapa cant get it and always stays at "looking for sattelites".
Also CM10 restarting from time to time, even when phone is locked, so i think ill be back to CM9...
Is anyone else having the problem where your phone only shows "Voice Calls" taking 100% of the battery usage after taking a call?
Ive hard reset the phone twice and before i make a call there are many things in the Battery Use fiels like Android system, Screen display, Music, WIFI, etc but after i take a call they all disapear and only "Voice Calls" is listed.
Its not bothering me or anythin gbut i would like to know if anyone else have this issue as i like to track whats using the most power throughout the day.
Can you post a screen shot of your battery usage screen? Hold power button and then press the home button to take a screenshot.

Thank you for confirming, i was about to hard reset my phone again because i thought disabling all the bloatware and installing a few apps that needed root caused my phone to go nuts.
Thank you again.
Edit:
Looks like mine worked it self out. After installing Temple run 2 and gaming for about an hour straight last night i decided to check again before i went to sleep and it fixed itself.
So about a month ago cm-updater for some reason came up on the notifications bar and told me there is an update i was running cm10.x , the update was 9.x.x. I though it was strange that it would show me this, so i just figured it was an update for the actual CMupdater. When i rebooted,my phone was stuck on the boot logo, so i rebooted into recovery flashed the latest nightly and recovered all my stuff. After a few days i noticed the phone would just freeze then reboot, then i noticed i had NO gps at all, not just an issue with GPS satalite Lock, but it wouldnt even see satalites. here is what i have done
INstalled the lasted nightly, latest stable.... no luck the phone is still acting the same
next,
googled "gps fix for Galaxy nexus"
tried a few GPSFIX.zip's in CWM
tried to erase data in services.framework with the reboot in each step
tried GPS fix and faster GPS
stilll nothing, its all the same,
then i ran the galaxynexys toolkit
locked and unlocked the phone (to erase everything)
install factory 4.2.2 image
NO GPS
installled cm10.1 lasted nightly
wiped all caches , delvik etc...
fresh install
no gps
tried to erase data again on services.framework.
no gps
left the GPS on all day, not one satalite..
Can anyone help shed any light on this issude??

As for the phone acting up.what will happen, i will open the phone, and after a few seconds the screen will flash black for 1/2 a second, then come back, then the phone will be SUPER slow, until i lock it and then unlock the screen again..
also random freezes and reboots.

Well, I would suggest a factory image flash, but you've already done that and gps still doesn't work. Sounds like your hardware is borked.
So a month ago I upgraded my epic 4g touch to stock rooted most current official release, and flashed the newest clock work mod... Not sure what kernel. And anyhow, after flashing it, basically my battery dropped in more than half.. After an hour of it sitting around I drop 30%. I even have greenify keeping my apps hibernated. Since I'm use to the s3, I'm not sure what to do.. Do I just flash a new kernel or what? Yes I did search and got nothing about battery drain after flashing an update.
Try the suggestions here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2474084

Those are all common sense and app suggestions... This isn't an issue to be fixed with an app.. It's something going on.. Maybe the kernel

Most likely an app causing wakelocks that isn't allowing your phone to sleep. Look in Settings/About Phone to see what kernel you flashed.
I believe that your power drain issues are related to mine. Sometime in the last two months I found my battery draining about twice as fast. Upon investigation i found that nlpcollector was the culprit (google location services). After turning off google location services I found that my battery life went back to normal. I understand that this isn't an ideal fix, but hopefully it is temporary and google fixes nlpcollector so it isn't doing wakelocks like crazy.
Hello, i wiped my phone(system, data, cache) and flashed aquarios rom, but after rebooting my screen was not working, system booted up and i can hear volume and vibrations. But i cant locate the problem... could it be in hardware? I tried to disassembly phone and clean contacts and make sure everything is good connected. Also tried to wipe everything and flash stock 7.1.1, then 6.0.1, and still the same problem. Anyone got any idea? Should i replace the screen? Thank you

Maybe your GPU died? it's part of the CPU chip, and we know that unfortunately this CPU (SD808) is prone to fail on this device, due to heating-cooling cycles that creates cracks in the CPU chip substratum (looks like LG miscalculated the coefficient of expansion). I am saying it based on that you were flashing your device (it produces lot of heat and CPU use), and then, after a reboot the issue showed up.
But it can be faulty screen, this would be very weird (since i am assuming that you did not drop it during the flashing process or something similar) but not impossible.
You cleaned the connectors on the motherboard with isopropilic alcohol? i had a similar issue on my N4, and it was the solution.
Anyway if i were you, probably i would get some chinese and cheap screen replacement, at least to discard the faulty screen theory.
Thank you very much, i wouldnt think it could be gpu problem, but it looks like it is. I am going to give a try replacement screen. Taking into account my usage of phone, it would explain the dead gpu.
