I'm having the same problem with Three UK, no 4G. Although 4G worked on my Lumia 1020 with the same SIM a few days ago.
If I go into the hidden menu under LTE you can set it to use LTE and it connects to 4G brefiely then goes back to 3G and it never shows GSM/ WCDMA / LTE auto in the mobile networks menu, just GSm / WCDMA auto.
I noticed on the demo unit in a Three store that the phones software version was V10a-EUR-XX whereas mine is V10g-HKG-XX.

if you have root you can try deleting (or renaming) LTE Config.apk from /system/app

Is there anything that can be done without root? I've tried setting the LTE in the hidden services menu and it connects foe a few seconds and then goes back to HSDPA. If seeting to LTE only it stays on LTE but not sure how it will work if I leave 4G coverage? I've also enabled fast dormancy but that doesn't seem to help.
There was a discussion about this in the UK thread, some phones came with 4G deactivated (on the 800MHz band used by 3 and Vodafone) that had to be activated at every boot. Replacing it fixed the problem as its not supposed to happen. But since the phone is from Asia who knows. Im not sure if flashing the eur version of the rom would work?

fast dormancy is a network dependant setting that has nothing to do with the generation of signal you are receiving.
The only other option you have is to try and flash another firmware version.

LTE will work from the hidden menu, or download 4G switcher from the Play store which will take you to the menu also. Just change it to LTE/GSM/WCDMA and it will work on the 4G network (at least on 3 UK). LG UK support will not help as it came from HK. I still want to know if I can flash a Euro 32GB ROM to my phone to get it working natively.
make sure u have activate your LTE with your carrier,i you have done it,and still didnt have LTE, try the hidden menu,or try 4G switch frm playstore, rooting and deleting lteconfig from system/app would be your last option (i prefer this)

thank you, this fixed my problem!
my lte/3g/2g settings was everytime reset to 2g/3g modus when i got back to settings. i deleted lte config.apk and the .odex file, rebooted and BAM! it keeps on lte/3g/2g
Solved
I had the same issue (no LTE option in Networks configuration menu), until today: My phone installed firmware V10i-HKG-XX, and now I have the "GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto" option in Preferred Network Mode.
Cheers

Do the following -
1. From the dailer, type in 3845#*855#
2. Select LTE Only
3. Modem Setting
4. RAT Selection
5. GSM/WCDMA/LTE Auto
You should now receive 4G but everytime you reboot, you have to repeat this procedure

Hi all,
I brought(mistakenly) LG G Pro F240S. Initially it was only registering one sim but after changing ROMS, it is now registering all network's sims but only connect with the network where signals are strong and also drop the signal (with service disable message) after 5,10 or 15 mins and then again connect with the network after few mins. It is only happening when signals are strong. No any network displaying at normal or week signal area.
Now anybody please tell me that it is a software problem or a hardware issue?? in both cases, is it resolvable??
Following is my configuration at this time:
Android Version: 4.1.2
Baseband version: APQ8064T/MDM9x15M
Kernel Version: 3.4.04
Build number: JZO54K-xmx
Software version: LG-F240-EUR
I tried following ROMS:
SphinX_GPRO_Kitkat_1.5
VUPMP.GPro.sG3_v2.0
LGE980AT-01-V10g-310-410-APR-03-2013

I'm using Special Edition lollipop ver5 on my 240k. and phone works great.
If different roms don't work, don't rule out hardware problem. did it ever work correctly on the original rom?

My carrier, Three UK has recently rolled out Voice Over LTE (VOLTE) in the UK since the LG G3 supports VOLTE (Hardware wise since it supports 800 Mhz on the LTE Band). The only problem is it is currently only working for devices that run on the Three firmware and I have the unbranded European model. I have the firmware as a KDZ file and it works, however VOLTE doesn't work on Fulmics ROM 5.3 since when I make a call it switches to 3G instead of 4G.
Since the implementation of VOLTE is software based is there anyway to port it over to Fulmics ROM?
Any ideas?
Hmm I might be wrong but I do believe this is the correct functionality of VOLTE. The voice gets transferred over the 4G connection, and you get to keep the 3g internet connection active simlultaneasly.
Otherwise without having 4G you would just drop the data connection while having the call.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but would you mind telling me how to obtain the correct firmware?
Three's website doesn't offer a VoLTE compatible firmware for the G3, but offers the workaround of using the Three inTouch app. I don't want to use that, because reviews of the app are not promising.

Did you make sure your network settings where correct? Set to GSM/WCDMA/LTE ? And have you made sure that network selection is set to auto?
Also maybe perform a factory reset?
