The Zenfone 2 is a great phone. There is just one big problem: You can only receive sms messages with one of the two sim cards -- this makes it for me all but useless. I have used dual sim card phones for years and of course I could always receive the sms messages from both cards/numbers.
For me i have the vibror bug he work sometimes

You can definitely receive SMS with both SiM cards. You can only receive MMS with SIM Card 1. The default messenger app even indicates which SIM card my message was sent/received on.
Yep, sim2 only has phone and sms capabilities, anything to do with internet doesn't work. If you add an emoji/picture to your txt then it becomes an mms by default so it can't be sent. Remove the emoji/picture and it'll text fine...

Hi
I have a problem - sometimes i receive text messages and sometimes i don't. It could be due to not having network coverage but, when i do get coverage, i still don't receive the messages. I get other messages later on saying things like 'did you get my message'. I don't know if the problem is with my 4 year old sim card, the phone, or the network. I am in the UK using Talkmobile. P.S my calls still work and I can send text messages.
Thanks in advance
Try removing your sim, & insert a newer one to confirm, if it is a problem with phone or sim card.

But the problem is intermittent - random. I cant test to see if it works or not (I dont think). Thanks for your reply
Can anyone recommend a timed sms sending application that supports dual-sim phones? I found many programs, but they had only one sim support..
Asus Z00AD
I use chomp sms. Has option to send texts at a scheduled time and supports dual sims

Thank you, I'll see.
Asus Z00AD
I've tried using chompSMS as my alternative texting app. Activated the dual sim support in settings but it does not seem to work. It uses my sim 1 to send texts and not the selected sim in chomp. I have disabled Asus Messaging app using Titanium Backup Pro. Any suggestions how to make it work? Thanks.
Chompsms works fine for me. I havent disabled the stock messaging app but I selected chompsms as default sms app on system settings. I usually long press the send button on chomp whenever I want to send occasionally using the 2nd sim (worked all the time). Havent tried setting the 2nd sim as default as 1st sim is what I frequently use.
On latest stock rom/kernel rooted.
And how did you know if you receive sms on first or second sim?

I couldnt be able to use dual sim messaging in Chomp SMS. Currently I am using GO SMS Pro, which is great I think. You can try it.
Hey guys,
i have a strange issue, and didnt find a solution.
Somehow, when i receive messages , it is being sent to messenger and to SIM card.
when the sim card reaches 100 limit, i receive a warning message.
i didnt choose it to send to my sim card, and cannot find the option to change anything.
i must each time to delete one by one the messages in order to keep receiving new SMS.
any solution?
Sometimes I get a text message on the phone I'm using. And sometimes to another phone where the internet is connected but the number I'm writing from is not identical. It's on another phone. Wherever 1 sim is supported. Maybe I've somewhere put my number on my phone where it supports two sim one, sim cards. Use a chat feature on samsunf messages send over wifi or mobile nwtwork withour texting sms messaging. I get a sms reply on the other phone where wifi is connected. Or I don't get one, neither to the phone I sent from nor to the one where wifi is connected. For example, I have been chatting via sms messaging , I have not received any reply since 17 h although it shows that I have sent a message from the tel where one sim is supported. When I sent the card to another phone where two sim cards are supported I received the messages I should have received yesterday on the phone where I wrote, when I sent the card to the phone where the messaging app is supported, the samsung chat function sends messages using wifi or mobile data. When I went to the settings for messaging, chat functions - this function was switched off. (Because it says to send sms using internet or wifi connection. When I installed the card, it immediately switched to 4g even though it was connected to wifi yesterday, but no messages came to the phone where wifi was connected. And to the one from which I'm dialling. And the time shows today the dates when received : 17 and 17:45 although yesterday at that time I was using 1 phone where only 1sim is supported. But I have not received any reply. I only received it today when I put the card in my phone. Why do I get it on the other phone where wifi is connected or when I insert the card and connect 4g to the phone where two sims are supported? The app is here ( Messages. not GOOGLE MESSAGES). It is switched off but I get a sms reply either to the one from which I sent the sms or to another phone where wifi is connected.
