Mayday! Unusable HTC - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone!
The HTC One M8 of my brother has gone mad. Until yesterday it worked perfectly, and this morning he has decided to do the tricks. I illustrate you the situation:
When switched on, the phone automatically restart in the boot loader screen, and this appear:
*** Software Status: Official ***
*** *** LOCKED
M8_UL PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-3.19.0.0000
RADIO-1 .....
OpenDSP-v ..
OS 4.16.401.10
eMMC-boot 2048MB

HBOOT
<VOL UP> to previous item
<Vol DOWN> to next item
<POWER> to select item
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
FACTORY RESET
SIMLOCK
CHECK SMARTSD
IMAGE CRC
SHOW BARCODE
What is the problem? The power button to select the various options doesn't work, and even the button VOL-. So it's impossible to try to restart in fastboot mode or recovery mode to try to do some stunts. But holding the VOL + and Power at the same time I can start it in Safe Mode and run all the buttons except of VOL-. I tried to do a factory reset by the settings menu, but the problem persists. Do any of you have any idea on how to proceed or what is the nature of the problem?
The phone is not branded and has been updated to Lollipop in his time. It 's always been completely original, has never been unlocked bootloader, S-OFF, Root, Recovery, etc.

I had the same thing happen to me a couple of months ago. Your vol down button is stuck. You'll either have to work it free yourself, or take it to a shop to have them pull the back cover off and fix it.

I have also tried to continue and install the windows USB driver witch seams to work.
then I check debugging is checked on, then start the unrEVOked program 3.3. it just keeps saying waiting for device.
when I plug in the desire I have also noticed that there is another device in device manager that has not been installed (ADB) is this a problem?

f you download the latest version of htc sync, that includes all the drivers nessesary to use unrevoked, just remember to install just the drivers not htc sync itself.
When you start unrEVOked you should be booted in normal Android, it will then reboot your phone when needed

Bootloader - all the time !

Hello there community,
Im really new to this kind of stuff , and never posted a single post in my life so don`t be too harsh on me,
The following phone is not mine , i`m just trying to help solve the problem.
So , let`s get to the matter ! I`m having a problem with Wildfire S which is stuck on FASTBOOT option all the time (on bootload screen)when i`m turning in it on. I can`t navigate in it with buttons beacuse they do not respond (either volume up ,down or power), that`s why i can`t choose any of the avaible options. The funny thing is , when i connect it to the computer FASTBOOT changes to FASTBOOT USB , and with this , i`m able to input command via fastboot.exe (fastboot reboot) and then the system starts to boot. After the system is booted , earlier faulty buttons starts to work. All is fine , until i power down the cellphone or it`s battery goes down , then again i`m stuck on bootloader when i power it up.
Is there any way to SKIP bootloader from appearing ?
Below are informations what`s on bootloader screen :

[Q] Problems with my wildfire

Hello.
I'm not completely sure what happened, but my phone ran out of battery yesterday night, and so after charging it I tried to power it up, and was met by the following.
BUZZ PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-1.01.0002
MICROP-0622
TOUCH PANEL-ATMELC03_16ac
RADIO-3.35.20.10

FASTBOOT
<VOL UP> to previous item
<VOL DOWN> to next item
<POWER> to select item
BOOTLOADER
REBOOT
REBOOT BOOTLOADER
POWER DOWN
However, my phone is not responding to any of the buttons, and I can't get past this page.
I have installed the sdk and tried an ruu, and although the phone itself is registering the connection to the computer, the computer is not detecting the phone while trying to install/use the ruu.
Any advice on what to do would be helpful, please tell me what I should do?

You are in the bootloader menu of you Wildfire. You can use the Volume +/- buttons to select the options
Bootloader
Reboot
Reboot Bootloader
and Power down
You can select the options with the power button. You should select BOOTLOADER while its connected to your PC and then press the power button. Then a menu should come up with a USB option, select this option and see if your PC recognises your phone. Good luck
The buttons are not responding, I should have mentioned that earlier. I can't get off the bootloader screen on the phone, and although the phone says "flashboot usb" when plugged in, it doesn't show up on the pc.
update, I uploaded the sdk and used the cmd window to reboot the phone, and it has loaded, however sd cards and signal seem to be problems at the moment.
It seems to be working now, however if I switch it off then it falls back to the original problem, but the rebooting method works to get the phone in a usable fashion. If anyone can find a permanent solution please let me know, but if not I think I shall be content with this for now (probably until it happens while I'm away from the computer...

M9 Bootloop S-ON ***Locked*** ***Software status: Modified***

Hi,
I got issues with my HTC one M9, I bought it a year ago but I didnt use it for the last 4 months. Now when I try to boot the phone it freezes at the HTC one splash. When I try to het into recovery menu the phone tells me .
Failed to boot to recovery.
Press volume up or down to Back to menu
This build is for development purposes only.
Do not distribute outside of HTC Without written permission.
Failure to comply May lead to legal Action.
When I press one of the volume rockers I can come in the bootloader with the following information.
*** Software status: Modified ***
*** Locked ***
*** S-ON ***
<VOL UP>
<VOL DOWN>
<POWER>
Reboot
Reboot to bootloader ( gives the Same screen )
Reboot to download mode ( gives the failed to download mode screen )
Reboot to recovery ( gives the failed to enter recovery menu )
Power down
I Hope someone van give me a suggestion.
Downloaded RUU, gives battery error in return. Phone wont charge, when I plug in the adapter it Boots to bootloader, when I select Power down it Just reboots Back in bootloader
Got phone charging, went into the download menu wich failed, but now I can geel the Back heating up. Will the correct RUU fix this issue with S-ON and Locked bootloader Without being able to enter download mode? Also tried fastboot to get in download mode but jumps Right to bootloader
Hi Guys, I've got the same problem.
try to put in download or recovery mode but no success.
does anyone know or have encountered a link for the solution of this problem ?
@Gingerbaard - I'm still searching and if i found a proper solution, I'll tell ya
I spend hours on browing to fix this problem but I can not find anything to resolve it. Even when I tought it was charging the battery it wasnt. I contacten HTC support and they asked me to return the Device. The only thing I can't figure Out why it says software status Modified while it is Stock.
