[Q] Volume boost on CM 10.2 (TeamCanjica)

Hi all!
With the help of this forum I managed to get CM 10.2 (TeamCanjica) working an my Ace 2! Hurray!! This breathed new life into my smartphone!
Right now I have the minor problem that the volume (loudness) of the music is too low when using headphones.
There are some apps in the google play store but these are adressed to Gingerbread not Jelly Bean. So they will not help I guess.
I suspected some settings in a system file, made a search and found these threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2400231
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2168836
But both threads mention files or directories which I do not find in my system directories (using the file explorer of CM).
Does anybody know where I can find the right files containing the volume settings in CM 10.2 (TeamCanjica)?
Maybe its silly question but do You set full permission in file manager options ?
While the listening music you can try slightly turn headphone jack. This may be help to you. I experienced this problem and solved with this way. By the way you can find and tune some sound settings in Sound Manager (Headphone / Speaker / Bluetooth etc.)

Full permission to what? As mentioned above I did not find any of the config files which were describes in the links above.
I guess I first have to find these config files. In CM 10.2 for Ace 2 they seem to be at an other place or have an other file name.

Thanks, I will try that.
Regarding the sound settings I have already found these sound settings. I turned off the sound limiter in the settings and pushed the volume up toas far as it will go. But unfortunately the volume is still too low. When using the headphones with an older Ipod Touch I hear the music significantly louder.
Hi. I have same problem. After try few mods like awesomebeats (after flash I have bootloop) I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2203255 - you can change setting and add few feature to sound driver. It's work great for our problem.

Raise volumes in build prop

Hi all
I am using an HTC one m8 rooted soff running viperone.
I want to modify and increase the external speakers when listening to audio or someone on speaker phone, and headphone volumes.
Would I edit the mixer paths or build prop file ?
And any idea which particular levels ?
I looked and there are so many lol, very confusing.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance
Have a great weekend
Just use Viper4Android.

Thanks for the reply
I actually do use it but it doesn't raise the overall volume. Definitely helps with sound quality and does boost the gain at lower volumes. But not overall. Unless I am doing something wrong which is entirely possible lol
Have you tried to mess with the Convolver? Some IRS files increase the sound volume. Maybe that could help you out a little bit?

I have no idea about the code.
If you are not able to do it your way, as an alternative, you can install a custom kernel with audio tweaks and increase the volume through that.

thanks so much friend, gonna try that
Does anyone know how to increase headphone audio on rooted stable OOS?
Or does anyone know the difference between mixer_paths.xml and mixer_paths_tasha.xml ?
I dont wanna install ARISE, it makes sound quality worse. Even with only upping the audio it makes it worse.
I dont wanna install a custom kernel as well.
What i would like to do is mess with a file like mixer_paths.xml, edit a few lines and get a higher audio on jack for music.
That's all i want higher audio for music.
Is that even possible or do i need a custom kernel?

Increasing headphone volume?

Hi there!
I'm just wondering if anybody knows how to increase the volume when having headphones connected. I've already installed Viper4Android yet I still find the sound to be rather insufficient... I've tried swapping some values in mixer_paths.xml but the changes won't stick after a reboot... Just curious if anyone has an idea or something?
I use VLC player for music on my microSD card. In advanced settings under Audio out change to OpenSL ES. The sound is much louder.
But only in VLC, not other apps.
Possible solution
Hi again guys!
I think I might have found a solution to the insufficient audio the solution was editing some values in mixer_paths_mtp

Just wrote a guide on how to increase your volume =)

create own DAC profiles / or control via Viper4android

Is there a way to control the DAC via viper 4android, so that it amplifies the viper effects or the sound?
From what I've done by installing V4A as a magisk module, DAC works as usual and V4A on top, certainly, sounds better, but i thinks still has little bit quiet sound...
I still have the feeling that if I let run in parallel with viper that the viper sound sometimes a little bit steer? and I think that the profiles of the DAC do not quite harmonize with viper? So I thought, if there is a possibility, that you can turn the dac on and off, but tonal only steers over viper
I think the sound does not sound as clean and clear as on my z2. even without dac. actually the LG would have to sound much better than my z2. I'm a little bit mystified. I've already disabled the LG Equalizer, but has not brought any improvement with Viper4android
lol you guys are trying to fix something that isn't broken. in fact, you're trying to fix the most outstanding feature of this phone!
At least it would be nice if you could switch off the standart equalizer. because the profile is Normal, it does not mean at the same time that the equalizer is off. then I suspect that if I have viper installed, there are problems with the volume. that the lg and viper hinder each other and that's why such a bad sound arises, even if the dac is off
Do you unterstand at all how viper vs build-in DAC works?
The only way, afaik, for bypass the default EQ and filters is using USB audio player Pro, since pass bitperfect data to the DAC skipping any post process.
To be honest I don't know why you want to use viper, you only add a lot of junk to the sound, don't get me wrong but If you're not happy with the sound maybe you should buy better headphones.
is there anyone who can port Viper4android for the G7? I found out that some of the original sound files have to be changed or replaced. if it should sound neat and clean.
can someone tell me what the file is responsible for in the directory vendor / radio?
because I have now deleted this file and still the LGEqualizer apk and have the pure sound of tidal. and it sounds a lot better. I just wanted to know what the file in the radio folder is good for.
