Right now my watch is showing cards as it should. The watch is vibrating as it should on certain notifications (calls, text messages, appointment notifications, emergency alerts, twitter notfications all vibrating. How can I get it to also vibrate on ALL google now cards (or at least on select cards that I choose if possible)?
Thanks!
Vibrate settings are all mimicking the settings o fthe app on the phone. So to get your watch to vibrate on Google Now cards, you'll have ot set up the Google Now app on your PHONE to vibrate on those notifications. I can't immediately see a way to do it for anything but priority cards (Google Now -> Settings-> Now Cards -> Priority -> Vibrate) but there may be.

Missed a meeting because my s3 was in my pocket and did not vibrate and i didnt hear the tone. Went to calendar -> settings and there is no "vibrate" checkbox in the "Notifications settings" section (like there was on my old galaxy s). I also don't have this checkbox in my text messages settings, but my text do vibrate albeit not with the default vibrate "tone" i selected. My phone is pure stock att no root, no rom only 3 days old. Anybody know how to have calendar reminders / alerts / notifications vibrate?

If you go in settings, then sounds, is the check box next to Sound and Vibration checked?

Yes. It does vibrate for calls and texts, just not for calendar. Also, it vibrates for calendar reminders when i set "silent mode" to vibrate, i just want calendar reminders to vibrate even when silent mode is off (meaning i want both a tone and vibrate). I've seen other posts for s3's that reference a "vibrate" checkbox on the message setting, but i do not see this text box so I'm assuming other s3 owners have a vibrate checkbox on the calendar setting that i do not have also - can anybody corroborate this for me?
This is fixed in the OTA update currently rolling out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31801294#post31801294
So when I have my watch and phone in priority only, I keep getting cards that pop up on my 360. They go away when I set my phone to silent, or, "none." Is there any way to make it so I can put my watch and phone in priority (so I still get alarms) but it won't show cards? I don't want to uncheck show cards in the wear app, because I'd have to re-enable it when turning the volume back up. I don't want cards showing on the face when at work. I want it to just be a watch that i can swipe up to see cards. But when I leave work and the volume is turned up (tasker triggered by location) the cards will display on watch. Thanks for any help!
Anyone? Hate to pry, but I'm fast approaching my return date and if this cant be done, it's going back.
In my M9s settings menu I have my "Sound profile" set to "Normal". In gmail settings I have "Notifications" box checked, "Inbox sound and & vibrate"say "Sound on, notify once", tap "Sound & vibrate" I have "Sound set to Lilac" and "Vibrate" box is unchecked (s/b ?). When I receive a new email I get one "Lilac" notification as expected, but if I don't open the email (ie: sleeping) the phone will sound (not "Lilac" sound) and vibrate every 15 - 30 seconds until I open an email then the notifications stop until I receive a new email then it the phone starts the sound & vibrate happens again every 15-30 secs.
The same thing occurs if I have the phone's sound profile set to silent.
NONE of my phones have ever behaved this way. Any idea what is going on? This thing is going back if I can't make the Gmail notifications work correctly!
Thanks in advance for any insight to this issue.

Go to "Settings" "Accessibility" scroll down to "Notification reminder" and switch it off. :good:
Oh, by the way, hello San Tan valley, from Fountain Hills, AZ.

Thanks! That did the trick; I had looked everywhere without luck in getting this phone to behave.
Hello Fountain Hills! I go up there to golf every once in a while.
In the android wear app there is a setting to turn off cards. I assume this means when I get a notification (text, hangout message, etc) it will not show automatically and cover my screen. This doesn't appear to work for me as when I have it turned off, my watch still lights up and the notification card is there. Am I missing something?
Hi
My watch no longer vibrates when I get a notification or message. It's there if I look manually, but I don't get notified by it. It still vibrates when getting a call or a alarm, so the vibrate function is still functional.
Anyone have any idea what could be the reason?
Thanks in advance
Yup, noticed this too after updating to 5.1.1
This is happening to me too. I hope there is a resolution soon. Missed a meeting.
By design, the watch only vibrates on events that your phone would vibrate for. is it possible you hvae a setting on your phone that is set not to vibrate on messages for some reason?
Are these meetings in Google Calendar? For some reason Google turned of notification by default recently in Google Calendar.
- Go to calendar.google.com
- Go to Settings, Calendar tab
- 'Edit notifications' for your calendar name
- Add a Popup notification
Not sure why they turned this off by default. Pissed off many.
