I get a toast of something similar to this: Can't take screenshot. please try again.
I've gone and unfroze everything and that didn't work so I factory reset this thing and still no luck.
edit: didn't see the thread below me.

Only issue is I deleted it, I'll attempt this fix sometime.. best not to do this when drowsy. Not having a kdz is a wee bit scary.
I'll report back once I've gone and restoring stuff.

Rooted my Optimus G and uninstalled Google Books and Google Music and when I rebooted I'm greeted with the LG Security Error screen. Tried the factory reset but that doesn't fix it. Am I screwed or can it be fixed? If so, how?
Thanks

I googled your problem. It looks like LG is rather dickish about debloating.
You might have to wait until some brick fix via ODIN is out

Maybe its possible for you to re-install the .apk's using push from adb...
download & install latest usb driver
download & insatall LG Mobile Support Tool
remove the battery from the phone
while pressing volume down button connect the usb cable and wait (about 10 seconds) in this mobe until SW upgarde is displayed on the phone
insert the battery back
perform a SW update via LG Mobile Support Tool
I don't have the optimus G but this helped me with other lg phone ; maybe will help you also
If the above metod don't work they are also other metods to try

sorry I forgot the optimus g has non-removable battery.
try to perform a recovery from the LG Mobile Support Tool :

If this not works then you have two options:
1:wait until someone post an fix for this problem
2:visit an LG authorized service in your area

My guess is uninstalled with root explorer because when he factory reset it should of repushed them if they were still on the system.
Yeah, I uninstalled them. I also tried the LG Mobile Support Tool, all a no go. Sucks, I really like the phone, more so than my Galaxy S3. Just have to be patient and hope a someone finds a solution.

Go to AT&T and replace it lol still got 14 days
Can you access adb?
Couldn't access adb either after this happened, could before. I did solve the problem although I feel a little guilty how I did it since I know it is totally my fault. I returned it, said I was using the LG update software on my desktop and said it got half through the update and our power went out and it wouldn't boot after that. If the earlier post hadn't reminded me that AT&T no longer has a 30 return I would have waited it out in hopes of a solution, but I'm going on a business trip and won't be back before the 14 days are up. Thanks for all the help and ideas, this time I'll just remove the AT&T crap and not any Google stuff.
I have everything just frozen and no issue for me just dont remove anything as it might cause Software issues

if it was me I'd unscrew the back and take it out as long as it is not marked by a sticker or something it shouldn't void the warranty
read thoroughly " I WOULD DO IT" it's not a suggestion for anyone to do it, I'm just saying what's on my mind
I can verify that freezing, with TB, certain DRM-related apps will cause this problem too.
Sprint doesn't have the images from LG required to restore the device yet, and the guy at the store tried to take it apart to get the battery out so now all the glue is unstuck from the back glass and it's squeaky. I'm waiting on a replacement from them now. :-|

From what I saw of the Sprint guy's efforts they filled the thing with glue. I guess that's why it feels so solid
Another victim of this problem here. Any help would be appreciated. I was able to get to recovery menu from the phone, but not much can be done in there at this point.
Hop on the IRC freenode #lg-optimus-g we'll help u out!

WTF
I just rebooted my phone and im getting a security error, all i did was root and freeze 2 of the rogers apps worked in the past also downloading freegee for rogers now crossing my fingers it works
edit nvm needs to be operational to unlock T_T
Ok, so I rooted my Optimus G Pro the other day and everything seemed to be going smoothly. Just yesterday it decided it wanted to reboot (it didn't give me a choice) and it sent me to TWR mode. I tried everything I could think of in there to recover or reboot and I just kept getting sent back there. I eventually ended up in CWM recovery but nothing will run properly.
I was able to get into Download mode but I can't figure out how to get further than this.
I think mine was forced an update as I've seen others complaining about... I'm following this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2302660 so I hope I can get it running.

Drop back a firmware version. Or factory reset. Usually does the trick.. A ballache I know, but it'll probably fix it.

well most problems are caused by people trying to upgrade(who don't want to lose apps and data). and the kdz method is for some to hard
but if you insist:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54809238&postcount=151
I got g via the normal OTA method.
Weirdly today after doing nothing to fix it, the freezing hadn't happened once! Very odd
I've noticed after flashing 6.0 (Poland ROM) that the QuickCircle settings are no longer there. I mean, I want to set it to not unlock the screen when I open it, but I can't find that option any more. If I set knock code, or padron, pin, etc etc it works, only swipe doesn't.
Anyone with a QuickCircle case have noticed the same?
Thank you.
Happy New Year!

I flashed it over the previous rom and it started with factory settings, then I restored from LG Backup. If is this what you mean by full wipe.

Done! Didn't solve.
But, unless I'm missing something, there is no setting to disable KnockON either. It seems there are some settings missing in MM.
Hi,
A few hours ago I randomly got into a some kind of bootloop. It's not the "normal" bootloop where simply the boot animation is played forever. Instead my boot continues afterwards like normal until there's this short black screen before entering your SIM's pin card. This never appears and it begins again with the "Your bootloader is unlocked. Please lock it...."-message.
I already flashed the Factory Image twice via the ADB console on my PC and Wugfresh's Toolkit.
Additionally I can't seem to acess the stock recovery, the "red android guy" never appears and it only reboot itself after choosing the recovery in Fastboot Mode.
Any help is appreciated!

It seems like your partitions are messed up, did you tried to flash it via the flash-all script that is included in the stock image zip file?

OK, I now tried the flash-all script with the newest factory image drectly from Google but still the same issue.
I'll now contact Lg to at least try to get a RMA because I think I tried the most solutions.
If there's anyone that has another Idea, feel free to post it here

Yea, that would be the best idea. Maybe it's slowly getting into that "classic" bootloop, which everyone talks about

I got a very interesting update on my issue.
My phone worked for a few minutes now, it booted normally and I could even set it up completely. But now it's the same problem again so I more and more think it could be faulty hardware.
Anyways I contacted LG for a RMA and we'll what happens.
Thanks for your help

You'll get the RMA, that is a hardware failure.

LG accepted my RMA request and I'll send them it ASAP.
Thank you everyone for helping me!

Little OT, but how long have you had your 5X? It looks like all the 5x's are just time bombs in case of that hardware bootloop. I'm thinking about selling my 5x and buying something that will not die on me some day.
