Hi there, i got a strage issue: since yesterday my phone began to restart about 20 seconds after it startup.
The strange thing is that if i try to uninstall some apps or change some setting, the phone doesn't save these changes.
The phone is rooted and i tried to re-flash it through fastboot that tells me everything went well but when it reboot nothing changes and the phone still keep rebooting after startup.
I tried to search over the internet but i couldn't find a solution.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Googling i've found that it's ad hardlocked nand problem, so no hope to fix it.

Sorry if i opened a thread already discussed in the past.

its just sitting on the freaking LG screen... every time i vol dwn + pwr and double press power it goes normal but then cwm doesn't come up and it just restarts and hangs at LG again. i ****ing hate this phone can someone please help me out? why won't cwm load
can you describe exactly the process you took to port CWM into your phone? Let's see if something happened along the way to cause it to not work properly.
Also, is CWM the one not working, or did you flash a ROM on your phone and something went wrong, and you are trying to get to CWM to restore your phone but not getting anywhere with it?

followed the steps on the cwm thread. used terminal emulator. worked great. was working fine until now. i flashed kernels beta 2 and only wiped cache and dalvik and now nothing is working. no cwm to restore, can't even get to the at&t boot animation. this is a mystery.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately I can't help much at all since I haven't done either yet (CWM or Kernels/rom installations) so rather than making things worse for you, I'll leave it to the Pros here to help you. Im sure one of them will respond back soon enough.
Try this:
Disconnect the phone and pull out the battery.
Put battery back in and plug phone to a wall charger. Let it boot to the battery charging screen. Once there press and hold POWER + VOLDOWN
Depends on type of the problem, it helped me 9 out 10 times...
tried it at least 20 times now. just realized that i didn't format /system nor did i update cwm yesterday. probably the root of all these problems. I'm just gonna start fresh with the kdz. I'm on a mac though so its going to be a long night starting with boot camp.
I'm having the same problems...well kind of...
I followed all the instructions for CWM and everything went great. No real issues but had to reinstall the .img twice and then was perfect thereafter. Saw the beta 2 ROM and figured what the hey...downloaded and installed to SD Card. Used CWM/Nandroid to do a backup then installed the zip for the ROM from the sd card.
It took a matter of 10 seconds and said it was successful/done and restarted phone-got a boot loop on LG screen for about 15 minutes and finally did a battery pull-tried several times to get it into CWM with no luck and finally was able to get in-but had to plug it into the wall and wait for charging screen to show. Was able to restore and all was well until turning the phone off.
Turning off the phone now causes the phone to loop on the ATT screen-I can get into download mode and can get into CWM and restore and all is well until turning phone off.
I figured it just needs a fresh install so I've been trying to flash the kdz but the firmware updater keeps faulting and never makes it through the process...so I'm stuck...have all the files I need (I believe) and have everything in place...just can't get it back to normal.
Any ideas from here?
Thanks in advance!
Yeah, sometimes it could be quicker just start over and restore backups...
While you there, would you mind do this: Needed SystemUI.apk from SU640
[EDIT]
@fishscale28:
did you do kdz unbrick before? If not, then perhaps you are not doing it right...btw, kdz file for LU6200 didn't work for me.
Nope-never done a kdz unbrick before-I have the kdz v10i_00 for the 640. I have all the drivers installed, the parser deal installed, windows enabler program running and use the kdz updater to update the firmware. Is there something Im missing here? Seems like several people have gotten the updater to crash when trying to update the firmware...any ideas why?
---------- Post added at 05:51 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:38 AM ----------
I went through a few of the threads and saw there was a .dll file to be deleted in the updater folders so I did that and now I can do absolutely nothing with the program. Only start and exit...am unable to select anything, view anything, get anything to function...

I installed from the kdz yesterday and didn't have to delete any files. I'm on Win 7 x64. The first time it ran it told me to restart my phone cause it didn't see it, but the second time it ran until my phone reboot and I killed the program. Be sure you have the KDZ_FW_UPD_EN with UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe in it. Hope this helps.
Thanks for your help. I did all that...again...I even deleted, reinstalled all the updater stuff, tried running as admin, tried running in compatibility mode, ran it after deleting the recommended .dll file and the option to do anything was gone, put it back in and was able to run everything fine and a little after extracting the kdz it would crash. I unplugged the phone and re-ran the proggy and it went through the check, noticed the phone wasn't hooked up and finished the check. Plug phone in, start process over and proggy crashes.
I don't get it-I would say its the wrong kdz but its not. I installed all the drivers and it still doesn't work. I've tried every combo of everything and the proggies keep crashing.
Now I was finally able to get into CWM to flash another ROM and was able to get one going-was able to boot into the os but same as before-once the phone is turned off it starts the boot loop. Now its even harder to get back to CWM but a restore works from there. Any ideas on why the boot image keeps reverting back to whatever was screwed up? Has to be something that happens once the system starts up again as it's after a restore and when the phone is turned off. Stumped and would love to be able to use my phone...It seems like flashing the kdz would be the sure fire way to get it done-are there options aside from the updaters that keep crashing?
Thanks in advance!
Maybe http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/ can help?
alright so i got to the 4% thing and my phone rebooted but it kept looping to the screen LG Optimus LTE bootscreen with the pink candy cane. thats it. i did vol dwn + pwr and got the android arrow and box with loading bar no text, then it rebooted back to the optimus lte screen. never got to the setup screen. tried the kdz again and my phone died. now when i plug it in i only get download mode... does it charge in download mode and why did it not get to the setup screen?!

Even after running the kdz, my phone still does that after installing CWM. I don't know if it's something with my ROM or something with CWM, but if you can't get into CWM you probably don't need to run the kdz. I couldn't get into CWM anymore when I ran it.
So you're saying you go into the boot loop after turning off your phone even after unbricking?
I don't get it-now I can't get into recovery and it keeps up with the boot loop. I've tried running on the virtual PC/XP deal and it doesn't crash but now it doesn't even see the phone...reinstalled all the drivers, etc. and still no luck. Is there anyway to get the kdz installed without this updater?

Yes. I don't think that was happening until I put CWM on. But I can live with it until the issue is solved. I don't think I'm the only one having it.
Hi everyone,
today I woke up and as usual i turned on my Gnex GSM (that has TWRP 2.8.0.0 and PA 4.6 beta 3 release1) and after a few minutes it started rebooting. i tried to remove battery at first but nothing happened; every time I put in the battery it starts, ask me for PIN, seems everything ok but reboots again.
I tried to enter in recovery mode to do a factory reset and even if TWRP says successful wipe nothing happens because when i reboot everything is like before. Itried to change recovery from TWRP to CWM but I can't even do that it "stucks" with TWRP. Fortunately I made a backup recently so I don't mind losing everything but if everyone has a solution please tell me because I don't know what to do!!
Another thing that compared in the log of TWRP during wipes was some strange ( for me, I'm not a developer) errors like "E: enable to stat '/data/media/.....'
If anyone can help I'll appreciate a lot!!!:laugh::laugh:
Thanks all!!
Same thing happened to me too....
Everything was working butter smooth when **** hit the fan.
I own GSM Gnex, rooted with stock 4.3 with Xposed installed. Custom recovery was TWRP
One fine day I was sitting with a friend in an restaurant when my phone suddenly started rebooting after reaching the homescreen. Mind you I can unlock my phone but after a couple of seconds, it would reboot
For two days, I did everything I could, used Wugs NRT, did a factory reset using TWRP, used ODIN, Flashed stock using toolkit and did that again manually using ADB. Nothing happened.
It says 'successful' when I flash using NRT, but nothing really changes and it freezes halfway while using ODIN and 'FAIL' error shows up.
After two days, I gave it to the shop from where I bought the device and its fourth day today but he still isnt able to repair my phone.
Mind you, I can access TWRP and all the functions, even factory reset but nothing happens.
At first I thought it might be moisture but it wasnt the case. I think it has to be an hardware issue
Trying to root my T-Mobile G3. I used purpledrake, it went through the process and said "permaroot worked, all done here. Moving on..." But instead of saying hit enter to restart, like it showed in this video, it says logout and then [Process completed] and my phone is stuck in the screen which shows not to disconnect. What do I do???
Also, it never asked if I want to install TWRP and custom boot like it says in this thread.
Could it have something to do with my phone being 10m and everything I've been seeing was for 10c??
Please help. This is my first time rooting and I really hope I didn't just brick my phone.
BTW, I'm on a Mac. I have win 7 parallels but would prefer a Mac solution if possible.EDIT:
DISASTER AVERTED! Hopefully this helps anyone else who runs into this same problem. I popped the battery out and it restarted fine and is rooted. It's just a weird bug that causes it to freeze at the do not disconnect screen.
I just got the official update to Marshmallow and I decided to just do it since it is official. It downloaded and then installed. Then it rebooted and showed that "apps are being optimized" screen and after that a bootloop of the lg logo. Rebooting doesnt work only if I take the battery out but afterwards there's still a bootloop. I also didn't do root or anything else to my device. I can not enter download mode or recovery either, but honestly idk if it has worked before.
Can anyone with probably similar experiences help me? Thanks in Advance from Germany
LG G3 D855 16Gb Europe unlocked Marshmallow update boot loop.

I have exactly the same issue. I have a German-bought LG G3 d855 updating this morning to Marshmallow. It is now caught in exactly the same boot loop. I get the LG logo, for a few minutes (the brightness changes during this time) followed by the "Android is updating..." app optimization screen which optimizes my 44 apps before going back to the logo in a constant cycle. Then my 44 apps get optimized yet again, and on it goes. I can't enter recovery, none of the button combinations has any effect. Phone has no mods, and was working fine before this.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Hi,
Similar issue here, my phone updated today (also no root, no mods) and for a couple of hours everything worked fine (just some missing apps after the process, but ok), then I went to flight mode and back and then it started with the reboot loops.
The reboots on my phone happen after some seconds in the home screen, so I have time to try to set it in flight mode again, and in some cases, after this it stops rebooting, but in flight mode, with no connections at all.
I'm trying to remove things to avoid doing a factory reset by now, removing cache didn't help...
Is your phone rebooting also after loading the home screen? or it just loops in the LG screen or in the apps update screen?
Hello,
I had the same problem. Just hardware reset the device and the device will continue from optimizing the apps
Instructions on how to hard reset see the video find on youtube "How to Enter into Recovery Mode on LG G3!"

Hi
I managed to recover my phone, BUT I didn't manage to recover my personnal data... I had to reset everything...
My method : with this tool https://www.google.fr/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwi9oJnC66bMAhWHDsAKHY_cBVQQFggdMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.xda-developers.com%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D2683691&usg=AFQjCNGG5q9UKA6oKXlahEEOksUo8faGrw&sig2=cTz4bAtdqp4BEut2S4B2GA enter your imei, and download KDZ file, latest directly from LG server.
Then follow this method (in french sorry)
http://www.phonandroid.com/forum/installation-propre-flasher-facilement-un-firmware-officiel-fichier-kdz-lg-g3-t97193.html#p1452621
You can try "normal flash" at the first time, but if it doesn't work (for me it doesn't work) you will have to choose "CSE Flash" and it should work. But you will loose your personnal data. So be strong.

Bro Thank You so much ive been searching for solution the last 2 days and you finally saved my life Thank you Man !
i have the same problem....after the stock firmware has been restored, what method is used to get the proper working marshmallow upgrade?
I went from 5.0 to 6.0 using the LG PC Suite.
0 problems, 0 reboots, quick and fast. Did you update through OTA?
yes i did but still boot lop............is it the battery?
so ?
Same problem here, did you find a solution ?
New G3 from LG but back in bootloop after 24h of use.
Thank you.
I got the exact same issue, neither hard reset or flashing firmware works. Is there any other solution or should i start looking for a new phone?
Edit: Somehow it works just fine now lol. Tried flashing it like 3 times and hard reset twice and now after an hour of constant optimizing apps bootlopping i pulled out the battery for like the 100th time and now it works, what the hell. Looks like my G3 will die soon tho haha
I know that there are many threads already about the tab s4 and other devices bootlooping but every in thread I saw the device also shows an error of some sorts or you can enter the recovery mode.
In my case it is a bit different, as I think it was caused by me being stupid and accidentaly deleting something I needed to boot with the universal android debloater. I deleted one partition that had no discription but seemed save to me but oh well. After deleting the package with UAD I used it for a while and the only reason I restarted it is because some app (i think overdrop) had a notification that I need to turn of battery optimisation for it and restart my tablet. So I did that today in the morning and in the beginning everything looked fine. I wondered why the Samsung logo was on the screen for so long but decided to let it do its thing. Then there was a menu that said something about it not being able to boot and told me what to do in 3 Steps: 1: retry the boot process (which just brought me back to the same menu); 2: reset the app data/cache (which seemed more promising) 3: contact support (which i didnt do because i feel like they would just tell me that they cant help me with that because its a device from 2018 and i used an "illegal" tool). So i reset the app data/cache and then tried to boot it up again. Then it bootlooped and I went into recovery mode and tried to hard reset the tablet hoping that the missing package would be restored with the factory reset but thats not a thing appearently.
So the things ive tried to solve this issue are:
using adb/aud to restore the missing package (didnt work because despite some thread saying that adb can be accessed while bootlooping I couldnt so that isnt gonna work)
Force shutdown and boot into recovery to look at the log and find something (I cant even get to the recoverymode anymore because the keycombination would just "restart" the booting process)
Sorry if my english isnt understandable, it isnt my first language
