Kernel suggestions?

Hello readers,
So I've been using my friend's device(HM1s, obviously) for a past few days,since he doesn't know anything about custom roms and stuff so he requested me to help him make his phone perform faster, so i tried aicp and ColtOS(since both are amazing according to people), and i do think they can perform even better with a custom kernel,so can anybody suggest me some best kernels out there that can increase performance of the device?...i Don't know much about this device so i need help

The stock rom with debloating would work best. I found MIUI 8 better than custom roms. Many kernels will switch the system to permissive mode instead enforcing selinux so reduced security would be another to be aware off.
The older custom roms based on cynogenmod MM and earlier which many of them are might have a bootloop issue because most of them are unpatched. I'm on Lineage 14.1 (Nougat) and it is laggy but I use it as a backup phone and testbed so it doesn't matter as much to me.

I understand that issue too....but my friend hates miui, so u see im stuck in this situation

Here are my views...
I am with device since 2014.. it is my first android device and still using..tried many custom roms..many means i can't even remember all names..almost tried every ROMs from kitkat to nouget..personally i like, CM 11 With xcelerate at best.. performanceand battery . Nouget ROMs are laggy when many apps are installed.. it was better at first .. u can try AICP march or earlier builds they are not laggy as current builds.. Obviously u can't bear lags when playing games and suddenly call arrives. And phone hangs. So i stick to CM 11 compromising using few banking and google apps that requires unrooted device. Cm 11 stock camera is bad but u can try google camera move it to internal and with xcelerate works best .. For music DSP manager is good enough... Cm11 is best of u don't want latest android ..i belive in quality. My phone should be smooth ,battery friendly no matter which OS,which kernel....

Man how do you charge your device with cm11+xcelerate combination....i tried cm11 r30+ xcelerate kernel my phone ain't gettin charged even when the device is plugged in....i tried god's kernel and now it is charging...

Zip file is there..unzip it... There is one ROM,PA Gapps, Custom kernel,firmware and one language pack(for indian languages-if u bother)...
Boot into TWRP.
Wipe out everything.Cathe.dalvik.internal.data.
Install firmware first.(if u use latest firmware then ROM will misbehave-so use this only)
Then Cm11 ROM
Then Gapps
Wipe cache and boot...
Use custom player like Sony walkman player with DSP..stock apollo is not good.. Use open camera for video and google camera for Pics. Quick pic gallery for gallery and Link2sd app for freeze unwanted apps,move to internal etc.. Use nova launcher bcoz stock launcher is not that good...Now you have moat beautiful ROM with stunning performance and battery.. Even after 4 years..with this combination u may have 3.5hrs SOT without underclocking CPU..have great flashing...:laugh:

But i flashed this rom(cm11 r30) with the same kernel u have provided zip for
But my phone didn't charged though the performance on that kernel was excellent...
God's kernel's performance is not upto the mark, and phone heats a lot....
I do think that the rom in the above mentioned zip is version r30,right?...
If so,then i have already tried the combination

I dont't know about date but i have downloaded that zip from official xda forum... Anyways...if you are performance and battery geek then you can go for Aosp extended 4.4 for redmi 1s.. A nouget based rom with stock kernel default settings works awesome.. It is very smooth rom..i am using right now.build in magisk manager for root and other stuff..u can use banking apps.. Stock music player will FC so try QuasarAtmox stable edition. It is soundmod includes viper+dolby+sony.. I freeze dolby and sony when using phone speaker.and disable viper to enjoy movies in dolby..link2sd app is best for that freeze,unfreeze.. U will easily get around 450MB free ram..multitasking is awesome.. U can surely go for it..if u found sound output low then increase speaker volume using kernel auditor...i dont know how to put images in xda though.otherwise i may give my current ss of aosp..go for it u won't regret

the error occurs because of a cyanogenmod patch that has not yet been fixed in ROMs with Android 6.0, whenever an application is installed it goes into bootloping, wait until the rom developer fixes the patch or migrates to a more upgraded Android, or use a rom 6.0 that is not based on cyanagenmod.

(Fortaleza, CE) Thanks friend ...i want explain some points that i installed RR 6.0.1 and open pico Gapps , Viper os 7.1 and open Gapps and Glade rom like that. Before i am using Ressurection marshmallow 6.0 the problem not occur but now i am facing this issue in Ressurection and every rom. I appreciate your help again thanks.

Buddy lets start from starting
First flash stock rom through odin
Then recovery CWM then Philz recovery
Then flash VIPER OS 7.1.2 LOOK IN DEV AREA OF THIS THREAD ITS A POST BY ME AND ITS VERY STABLE
and also respective gapps (pico)
Then step your rom like wise and must install (drive and gmail) from playstore
Install whatsapp and if u can restore backup of chats (some times due to any custom rom whatsapp backup shows its restoring but dosent restore in that case close the app from recent (make sure there is no notification of whatsaap) and again open it
It will restore

Installing paytm causing custom ROM crash....help

I am using CyanogenMod 12.1 as it is very fast and smooth with xcelerate kernel..and when I want to install paytm it causes system crash. Of other apps like greenify also.......so please someone tell me a solution and I tried out every single ROM like resurrection remix,,mokee,euphoria,dots,carbon,crdroid.,Tesla ROM etc......but on every ROM it happens..but on stock miui paytm running smooth....plzz someone give me a solution.....need an early help

OREO GO 8.1.0 - First releases of of oreo go with disabled by google new features . This edition of oreo go have saved some features from sony for better compatibility . What's is changed : Launcher , keyboard , important updates of build.prop , speed performance , low ram mode , gaaps is actually from oreo go updated to last version , updated some apps , deleted trash of sony and google and other mods of rom . 90% of rom is from first editions of oreo go but 10% (firmware and some apps) from sony .
If you want to use this oreo edition you must restore via TWRP new system,boot and recovery !! . If you don't do that you will to be have bootloop !! . This is very important for you . Recovery have problem with restore system and wifi can not working . Please don't wipe data or other partitions if you want to save your data and if you don't have any problems with rom . Some apps need to reinstall after update , that's normal . If you have bug in my rom please write a comment for fix the problem . But if problem is your because you don't wipe cache and dalvik and if you don't do update try to fix it and don't write a comment ,,this rom have bootloop and don't working,, . Make backup of your data , system , boot and recovery for your safe !! .
Any updates and rom release I publish soon after bug fixing in this rom . Any updates with new features of 8.1.0 to be soon because this features ported to this rom make great problem with bootloop etc.

Hi,sir can you please help me, after i flash TWRP, my phone just stuck in boot, and i still try to flash your rom, but still stuck in boot.
My phone is G3125 xa1, thank a lot sir

Disconnect battery and connect back . Try to start your phone now . Your phone possibly start normally . If now wipe system and restore my rom with boot img and recovery . Wait max 30 minutes for first start .

If you could make a kernel for the G3125 then I'd be super grateful.

i'm using G3416. after flashing boot-v2.img and flash g3112 rom I can't boot into recovery or fastoot or anything. flashmode and system only.

If this rom work on 3121 ? How to flash TWRP ?

Yes work on 3121 , but updated to last android . Yes , restore via twrp .

Gentlemans this kernel is universal for xa1 if you restore system !! You can restore system , boot and recovery and on other variants of xa1 that's will be working correct . But this must to be xa1 not plus or ultra !! . Kernel system and recovery update your phone to other model with latest bootloader !! Please don't ask about variant's , this kernel and system after restore working good . Some model earlier release have problem , but now i make fixed rom for earlier and latest model's .

Some earlier xa1 have problem with play store etc. If you have problem or bootloop on earlier device , please install microg zip . This fix temporarily problem , to next release !!

I was thinking what will be happened with our devices in future but you gave us a hope
You are best developer who can work on a mediatek chipset
I have a question and some requests for you
Question. Will this rom and android 9 rom work in both xa1 and xa1 plus???
Question 2. Does it have VOLTE support?? In India it is much needed feature.
Question 3. Does it supports Google camera mode or supports camera 2 api
Questions 4. What about camera performance of it is it better than stock as I know after unlocking bootloader quality decreases.
Requests. Please make VOLTE support if it doesn't have.

Now only xa1 no plus and ultra. Maybe Volte to be adres, but Now I disabled in my Rom Volte feature. Google camera working correct with stock Google camera App in my Rom (soon I add my version of camera to Rom). camera quality will be have always problem.

Volte maybe (but I'm not sure) I add to latest releases of my Rom. Little donate can motivate me to do Little better android for us. Now I have and use Volte on my xa1, but some bugs I have (sometimes don't start Volte If I reload to 3g and from 3g to lte... ) .

I can understand what you are saying.
I need volte as without it my father can not make calls in India as his carrier calling works only on volte
And what is working in your camera??
I mean that does you are telling about Rom's Google stock camera
Or you are telling about the famous Gcmod5 which has bokeh mode, hdr+ and better low light capturing.
Are you facing any issue in this build
I mean occasional restart and bugs

I am asking too many questions cause I have xa1 plus
And my father has xa1
And I want this room in my father xa1 without bugs
I mean as he is senior citizen they like stable phones without occasional restarts

I did try give the OP some benefit of the doubt but I still see no github, spam filled download sites and wild claims with no real substance to backup these claims
This is all very dodgy and I see no signs of any real development by the OP only dirty hacks and twrp backups to flash so be very careful.
Basically he asking you to download the stock rom of the G3112 using FlashTools XF Button FlashTool will automatically then create a FlashTool flashable .ftf if ticked if not choose create you can then open the .ftf using 7zip.
Inside you will find a folder named "META-INF" inside that there is a file named MANIFEST.MT he is suggesting you open that then edit the line
Code:
device: G3112
to your device code number. This is because FlashTool will error if you try flash another devices firmware on your device and for very good reason.
Once your device has been flashed with the G3112 firmware you then flash his twrp backup containing the boot, fotakernel (recovery) and system

Hi guys, I have been working on this rom from corona vacation due to some other works, I couldn't push the stable version of this rom. Today I'm releasing my modified rom of lineage as darklineage.

Installation
If You are on custom rom with a working fingerprint than no pre-requirements just clean flash this rom. If not you are on a stock rom with the latest version (NMA.26.42-169) than downgrade your Rom with Spflash tool (Flash NMA26.42-113 / NMA26.42-75) rom and come to this rom otherwise the Fingerprint not work correctly.
- Backup first... always backup first
- Wipe system, data, cache, and Dalvik cache
- Install darklineage
Optional
- Install GAPPS / MicroG ( NanoDroid zip)
- Install root package of your choice (I recommend Magisk)

I don't sure volte working or not. I added some of the volte wanted vendor blobs need to test by jio users.
Secondthing, you earlier also mention about this light. But in my device i have white led in the front of the phone (near to front camera). I mentioned in my post as notification led. So in this build That is work perfectly for battery charging, low batter and notifications.

Is Volte working on this rom
& Is it for xt62 or for moto e4 plus?

I have installed to xt1761 (standard "moto e"), sorry I don't know about volte. previously I had installed a rom from this forum with always a kernel present here, the phone was laggy like hell... about these kernels... guys don't use zram in your kernels! zram is the absolute evil for an android smartphone

SINCE Only stock supports VOLTE and No other custom rom so I was thinking If this kernel has volte Functionality ... :fingers-crossed:

Where can I download the 113 firmware? Which part of it is exactly needed for the working fingerprint?
Edit: Found the thread with the backup of 113. We will see...
Ok, fingerprint not working anymore, even with this 113 twrp backup. Original 113 firmware not available anymore, just the latest for the SP flash tool. Not important, my mother don't like the fingerprint scanner, so it doesn't matter. Original IMEIs back with Toolhero has worked perfectly, just the serial number is wrong and this is not fixable and maybe not important like the right imei numbers.
There is one bug, safety menu in settings is not opening and seems to crash. That's because fingerprint is not working here, for sure. Or, all fine so far for mother.
And I have changed the bootanimation for her
Edit: Now she got a new battery. Hope the phone is not going down anymore around 75%

I have installed it on my Moto e4 XT1762 (2017), and my camera and gallery are not working... When I try to acces one of this futures, the phone stops and reboot.
It's there something to do with it?

Notification Lights are working perfectly which is blinking lights that were disabled in stock rom and in all custom ROM .
This is the only ROM that has enabled blinking notification lights for each added apps the pulse and speed of blinking.
Notification lights are white only & not RGB colors.
Wifi Calling also enabled and is supported by my carrier.
Screenshots below August 2020 security patch.
If all restored userapp icons dissapear like as if it was formatted, just clear Dalvik and cache.

Why doesn't the screen lock work? Clicking on "security" in the settings closes automatically. With the error "settings stopped"

Hi everyone!!
Must say an awesome ROM. The dark theme was the selling point for me tbh and the fact that its based off LineageOS sealed the deal. Thus, an amazing ROM overall in terms of performance, stability and battery life (the 3 things that someone wants out of a ROM )
But one issue that I am consistently facing is whenever I go into Settings and tap on either "Security" or "Set up Fingerprint" the Settings app either freezes or crashes entirely.
I currently have LineagOS 14.1 Dark installed on my Moto E4 XT1762 "Woods" MediaTek variant
LineageOS version is 14.1-20200913-UNOFFICIAL-woods
kernel version 3.18
Build Number being lineage_woods-userdebug 7.1.2 NJH47F 0b5190fbeb test-keys
I also Magisk version 23.0 installed for root.
Troubleshooting steps that I have taken till yet:
Restarted the device numerous times
Wiped the Cache/Dalvik Cache from Recovery
Signed up using Google Email
Deleted Google's application cache and restarted
Signed up using a new user (that time it just froze on the boot animation until I manually restarted it)
None of the steps work and still whenever I tap on Security or Fingerprint, its like my devices just tells me to eff off and not play around with the security settings. If this is something that the developer intended or locked, I would love to know any way to unlock it
I have also googled the issue quite significantly. However, for my specific device, I was unable to find any good information thus I decided to post on my own. I have tried a couple of different fixes that worked on other devices with similar issues but the same ROM. However, none of them have worked so far.
Otherwise, I must say I have been using this ROM as my daily driver for like 2 weeks and have yet to come across any other issues. All my required apps work seamlessly and its like my 3 yrs old mobile got a new life. Just this one issue is bugging me, and would love if I get some guidance regarding how to resolve this!

Thank you for your kind review. in my installation guide i was strictly said before use this rom you need to flash NMA26.42-75 firmware using spflash tool to work the fingerprint. i'll provide the firmware rom link. you need to flash the rom and then come back here. if you need any guides or help please join in our telegram group.

Plus, regarding the NMA ROM I must have missed that part. I am still a n00b when it comes to rooting/installing custom ROMs, thus pls excuse my silly mistake.
Please do share the link of the NMA ROM, plus if there is any guide to do the installation of the NMA ROM and then this ROM, please do share that as well. Although you have already mentioned that you flash the NMA ROM and then flash this one and the fingerprint should work fine, so not a strict requirement, but would be nice to have if possible
Plus, pls pls pls do share the telegram group link. Tbh after flashing the ROM I have gotten interested in learning about custom ROM development, plus, if I encounter any bugs I can get quicker responses from the OG devs like you, so would greatly appreciate the share !! ^_^

you can try to unbrick it with sp flash tool. there plenty of videos around the internet about how to use sp flash tool
