Reverse Notification Shade - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way to reverse the notification shade so that it acts like stock Lollipop (with or without root)?
Basically just have it show the notifications only on the first pull down, then open the quick controls on the second. In the current setup, you cannot expand notifications until you swipe up for the quick controls to go away which is pretty frustrating.

I'd like this as well.

[Q] Visual notifications when screen is on in full-screen mode

I've searched/read through a bunch of threads, and I guess this isn't a big deal to many people as I really haven't seen much discussion. I don't always like my notifications to have a sound or vibration aspect to them, so I'm curious about the current state of Galaxy Nexus/ICS visual notifications when the screen is on but the status bar is hidden.
I was disappointed to see Ice Cream Sandwich continue to prevent the notification LED from lighting up when the screen is on instead of the original Droid's initial behavior that kept the LED on with the screen on. I've glanced at a few custom ROM feature sheets, but haven't seen any notes on whether the option to keep the LED on while the screen is on has been introduced yet. For those who have been flashing ROMs, is this a feature in some/most of the stabler ROMs out there?
I'm also wondering if anyone has messed with trying to put notifications in the soft key area? Even with the status bar visible, it can be annoying to reach the top one-handed to swipe down... so full-screen or not, I think it would be pretty great to be able to have certain notifications pop up next to the back or multitasking soft key (even something as simple a block of color indicating mail, SMS, voice mail, etc.), and then be able to tap the notification to go to the app sending the notification.
I just use an SMS pop up app.. unfortunately text notify which IMO is the best at this doesn't work on ICS yet..

Thanks, that's a good point that I had previously discarded because I'm not a huge fan of pop-ups with dialog boxes. But this reminded me that Light Flow has pop-up notifications that I hadn't previously tried, and it turns out they're actually toast notifications (which are preferable to me). So that'll definitely do until CM or whoever lights up the LED with the screen on.

[Q] Possible to access notification bar from lockscreen?

I know that when there is no secure lock screen (pattern, pin etc), the notification bar can be pulled down.
Is it possible to access the notification bar when the lock screen is secured with pattern on CM10?
I tried it the cna rom and you can't pull it down when you have a pattern lock screen, it'll probably be the same on cm10, otherwise you could pull it down and access the settings menu and that would be quite the security snafu.
It's this way on purpose. How would a lock screen be at all useful if you could bypass it by pulling down the notification bar?

Understandable but what about this: I've got an HTC One S with no hard camera or search button. My sms app allows quick create popups on the locscreen via:
-long press of camera button
-long press of search button
-icon on lockscreen
Since the first 2 are of no use to me, I can only use the 3rd option....but I can't since due to job email security, I must enable a passcode.
Is there a way to get around this? I know how much the iOS vs Android thing irritates ppl but I was able to do this with iRealSMS (iOS) and miss it dearly. If a pass code was enabled, you could still send SMS but if you actually tried to get into the app, you were presented with the pass code screen.

[Q] EMUI 3.0 notification bar

Hi. On B512 if i pull left side of notification bar i get my notifications and on right side settings. Can i get this on B707?
If you have a notification it will bring down your notification tray, if not it will bring down quick settings. This is annoying for me as I have ongoing notifications, meaning to get to quick settings I have to swipe across every time.

Help needed with notifications shown on status pull down.

I've noticed there is no longer a way to expand the notifications... so they take up more than one slot when the status bar is pulled down. Some notifications like single emails are automatically expanded.
My phone is not rooted and I don't really want to root it for something so small.
I'm using Nova launcher prime. Is there a way to make all notifications expanded?? I've tried pulling down on the notification with one finger and two fingers at a time but it's not working.
I don't think its possible without root+xposed.

S20+ Quick Tiles problems on lock screen

Hi guys,
In my S20+ when I try to select any QT on my lock screen, the notification bar closes by itself after drawing it down. I can't select any of the QS. Have you guys had the same problem?
Mine does not behave that way. On the lockscreen, I can pull down the notification bar and toggle some settings (BT, sound, DND, autorotate) and the changes take effect but the notification bar stays down. Some toggles require my PIN before taking effect, but the notification bar never scrolls up by itself. I know this doesn't help you sort it out, but letting you know it is not universal behavior.

My S10 Plus with an update that added the power button to the notification bar introduced that bug to :/
