Dual Sim Problem

Hey guys,
I got an analogue dual sim adapter. When I start the phone with the first sim card it's ok. But as soon as I wanna switch to SIM2, it tells me, the sim card was missing. When I do a reboot instead of turning off and on the telephone module, it works. The strange is, when I do a switch from SIM2 to SIM1, there is no problem at all. Neither by restart nor by turning telefunction off and on.
I already tried to switch the sim cards manually in the adapter. No change. Always the problem by switching from SIM1 to 2.
Does anybody have a solution?
Btw. I run WM6 Touch VII. But it's the same problem with WM5.
Dual Sim
I assume that your sim is Analog? I'm not sure exactly how those work, but I had a similar problem with my Digital dual sim. It would always give a sim blocked message while trying to switch in the one direction. In the other direction it was fine. It turned out that my provider required the exact Telephone number to be the name of the Sim. When I changed the name, everything worked fine. Since it sounds like you have an analog model, I'm not sure if you can change the name, but if you can, it's worth a try.
P.S. The Digital Dual Sim really burn a lot of Battery, so I can't really recommend it.
yes. as i wrote it is analog. i can't change the names of the sim card.
Analog Sim Adapter
Which Radio Rom are you using? I would recommend 2.69.21. Since it works on a softreset and not with the Phone on off switch in ConnectionsManager, I would guess that you Radio Rom is not compatible with your SIM. Try flashing a new Radio ROM to see if that helps, if not, you can always another. If none of the radio roms work... well, try bringing back the SIM and getting a new one or something.
i updated to the newest radio rom version. And nothing changed. still "sim card missing". I suppose there's something wrong with my simcard.
Probably, but I did think of one other thing. It's kinda dumb, but maybe worth checking out: Is possibly one SIM slightly thicker than the other? If so that might be the problem. You could then try wedging paper in between to give it better contact. Otherwise, good luck with bringing it back, or exchanging it.
P.S. Have you tried it in a different Cell phone?
yes, i tried in a different one. there it works... strange.
thanks for your help anyways.
Have you tried all the radio roms? In your situation, I would flash every radio rom on the ftp just to try it out. Maybe the oldest one will help, maybe 2.47.21? Who knows? But if the card works in a different phone, then I can't see why it wouldn't work in the Prophet??? I have a Digital Dual Sim, and that works fine, but drains the battery

Hmm, interesting, I have a simmilar problem on my wizard. But it happens only with one particular pair of cards, other works flawleslly.
On my device it doesnt show the message, it even looks like it logs to the network correctly, but its imposible to make call, access Sim card or any phone options. It looks like the phone module hanged, and only solution is a soft-reset.
I didnt even thinked that the SIM card names have anything todo with that. Can you tell me in what format you put the number? I mean, did you put the country code in front of it (like eg. 44 or +44).
I have already tried to put the number, but still no success.
Also I have looked through many ROM's (more than 10) and tried almost all available radio's and always the same, no success.
PS About battery drain, i own a 15gen. dual sim card and it have exactly same power consumption as used without it. So seek for a new DualSim, they dont have increased drain.

Slide a piece of paper in back of your sim card. Some times sim cards are not fat enough to get in contact with the sim reader. No one knows when your kaiser starts behaving like sim card isnt fat enough, it did for me 2 months ago and till now I have a piece of paper to do the remedy :|

Currently Android doesnt support locked sim cards. If you are using Haret Install, you need to PIN unlock your sim card before running Haret, or otherwise install Android on NAND only with an unlocked, right out of the box working sim card.
I know its bad but its this way. Here we usually block PUK code if our sim cards are lost / stolen

Unable to boot up with sim card inserted

i seem to have this problem whereby when my phone starts up with a sim card inserted, the phone will boot into lockscreen for 1s then it'll start to dim into darkness and automatically reboot
this behaviour doesn't happen when the sim card is taken out
i've tried to reflash the firmware but the problem still persists, i have no idea whats wrong and this phone just came back to me yesterday from SE repair center where they changed the motherboard!
any idea what should i do?
i'm on 2.3.4 rooted
I assume you've tried another sim card. Just send it back other wise.
Sent from my LT15i using XDA App
i put in another sim card, it works for maybe 30 minutes then same problem
so i put in yet another sim card, worked for 1hr then same problem
put in the 1st sim again, immediately problem occurs
seems like the phone remembers the sim cards that were slotted in, or it damages the sim cards in some way but the sim cards work with other phones so i'm at a blur
decided to send the phone in for servicing again, hopefully the next set wouldn't cause any problems anymore
i've had quite a few android devices and have been flashing winmo phones for years, but this is the 1st time ever i've had to send a phone in to repair!

HELP!! GT-N5100 wrongly detects SIM card Forced Restart

I have an unrooted, purely stock GT-N5100.
I haven't put in the microSIM in its slot ever. I use it in airplane mode , only with Wi-Fi. But I have a problem where sometimes, it randomly detects that I have put in a SIM card( and it leaves me no option but to restart it). Then sometimes after detecting that, it detects that I have removed the SIM card and I again need to restart it. This gets really annoying and this time, it oscillated between the two cases as can be seen in the video below.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yr2UlC2VpgY
Now I don't have a SIM in the microSIM size, so I am Unable to really check by putting in a SIM card, there is nothing in the SIM slot, I checked by opening the flap.
Should I rush to the Samsung Service center to get it fixed? Any other Suggestions to fix it?

Phone randomly stops detecting sim card?

Has anyone else encountered this? I have the UK version (it supports all att bands). It randomly stops detecting the sim card, and I have to eject it and reinsert it for it to detect it again.
sounds like an issue with the phone man... Mine has been flawless. if i were u i would return it... or at least try a new sim card.
I tried changing the APN settings to see if that makes a difference at all

I second this. Sometimes you just get a faulty device. Just exchange it for a new one.
have you checked the SIM card, make sure its clean? Seated correctly? You can clean the contacts carefully with alcohol wipes
