I've been reading various threads on this forum but I still cannot unlock my phone.
I have a SPV M500 on Orange (UK), so far I have tried the v1.6 unlocking tool only but I cannot get it to work. I want to unlock my phone so that I can use my vodafone sim card on it.
I downloaded the v1.6 file onto my phone's root directory and then ran it there, it told me that it was sucessfully unlocked but when I put my vodafone sim card in it says that the sim is invalid. I tried re-running the software but still does not work. Whats the problem?
Any help would be much appreciated!
The details of my phone is as follows:
r 1.05.10
g 1337.39
d 1.06.00 wwe

orange spvm500 locked after using xdadev_all_unlock-v1.6.exe
Hi All,
I ran the xdadev_all_unlock-v1.6.exe and now my phone is locked. I cant even get past the first screen which says "Service provider is locked, please input unlock code". I tried putting '00000000' but then get the message Invalid Unlock Code. The phone doesnt let me get past this screen so cannot even re-run the .exe. Using ActiveSync i checked the logfile which has the following information:

Can anyone please help??? I'm really stuck without my phone
Dear all,
I need your help.
I have a Vodafone VPA Compact from Netherland (see below link):
http://www.mobileplanet.com/product.asp?code=121517&tab=0
My problem is, the device cannot be used in HK. After inserting the valid HK SIM , the phone shows "Invalid or missing SIM". I believe the device has been SIMlocked.
I have actually tried the xdadev_all_unlock-v1.6_138. It runs sucessfully, but the above warning still shows.
Any chance that I can unlock the phone?! Please urgently advise! My phone is:
Device: PM10B
ROM 1.12.00
Radio Version: 1.12.00
Please help ~~~~ Thank you so much!

I have recently purchased a XDA2 NM8HIMALAYAS. It is locked on O2paygo and i need to unlock it to use a virgin paygo sim. I did purchase the 1.5 & 1.6 versionsof the unlocking software from ebay and ran them successfully but could never get past the part that says enter your unlock code. I tried 0000 and 00000000 to no avail. I tried all the combinations, removing the sd card, running it from the sd card etc etc. Nothing seems to work.
Does anybody have a magic wand or can help get this unlocked?
Thanks
Darren

One magic wand coming right up - download the .exe software in the first post on this thread, copy it to the device and run it, It will unlock the device without any problems and is free
Magic wand needs a service
I tried that software, ran it and it still asks me for an unlock code ( i have tried 0000 and 00000000) so the simlock is still there. Is there anything else i can try?
Still need someones help
Cannot unlock it - can anybody please help unlock this?
Experienced the same problem
I had a little trouble understanding the instructions.... but I finally got it done.
no luck
hi
i did just that, it says it has unlocked on the screen. I then put my new sim in and it asks for an unlock code.
Is there a step by step instruction just in case i am missing something obvious?
Willing to pay/donate for a solution.
Can anyone help?

Dude....maybe this sounds tooooooo simple, but didn't you change the PIN of your SIM sometime, since it seems you've been using it longer.... ? Isn' t it just the SIM-pin it wants to know ? In that case it would explain why any hacks devicebased don't work.... mayba look at the SIM (have you tried other SIM?).
try this...
save this program: xdadev_all_unlock-v1[1].6_138to your desktop. It the first sticky in this section.
sync your pda with your computer. make sure you are syncing the "files" on the pda. click options and check the box next too files. in the active sync window double click on the "files" under the "infomation type". click add. find the file on your desktop and double click on it. file should now be on the list of synchronized files. click OK. now sync the pda. it should now be installed on the pda. find the program and double click on it and it should unlock.
still no joy!
Hi
I did exactly as you menioned. The phone gave a popup saying the phone was unlocked. So i switched it off, put my new sim card in and switched it on. It asked me for a network unlock code again. It still wont unlock!
The report says that it has unlocked... I really dont know what to try next.

The trick is you must take your SIM card and SD card out when you run the unlock tool. I did it wrong the first time and then it worked very well.
